The company miscommunicates its services and the representatives communicate unprofessionally and disrepespefully!
I will keep up this review until I receive my refund.
After booking a visit to the sea lions in Lima via Viator, the company:
- Communicated via a WhatsApp account with a different company name from what’s listed on Viator (the Viator listing states the company is named “Machupicchu Holiday,” but I received WhatsApp messages from an account named “Chullos Travel Peru”)
- Changed the start time of my reservation without asking if it worked for my group’s schedule
- Repeatedly ignored my requests to clarify when and where the excursion would end, so my group could figure out if the new time would work with our schedule
- Refused to pick up our group at our hotel despite the fact that I submitted my hotel address and the booking confirmation indicated that the meeting point was at my hotel
- Failed to communicate the price of the additional fees and that the fees had to be paid in cash
- Repeatedly ignored my requests for confirmation on the fees until the morning of the excursion
- Refused to give a refund because I requested a cancellation within 24 hours, despite the fact that they changed the reservation without my consent
- Charged me for a no-show fee despite the fact that I informed the representative multiple times that we would not participate in the tour until we received confirmation about the pickup, drop off, schedule, additional fees
- Communicated disrespectfully and unprofessionally to both me and the hotel staff—refusing to help find a solution, but rather just expected our group to adhere to their (inconsistent and unclear) preferences and instructions
To anyone reading reviews, the way that the company responds to negative reviews should tell you everything you need to know about how they treat customers.
