Fun for sure, the horses are so cool to be around. The whole experience is pricey though and the drivers are forced to be rather cheesy in hopes of more tips. If you buy the full package, the butterfly experience is very cool but very small. The stop you get to make at the rock/lookout is about 5 minutes. The fort is totally worth experiencing and walking down the hill after is easy. Overall this is really a must do on the island, I just wish it didn’t have to cost SO much!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we arrived, Mackinac Island Carriage Tours had us smiling. Buying tickets from Jaimie was a breeze—even though I had about a million questions and felt a little lost on how the tour worked, she explained it so clearly that even I couldn’t mess it up. Bonus surprise: our tour driver Jourdan turned out to be Jaimie’s twin. I thought that was hilarious—double the charm, double the talent. Jourdan had the perfect mix of history and humor. I actually learned a lot about the island, but I also laughed so much I worried the horses might give me side-eye for being too loud. Huge shoutout to Jenna and Tyler, who managed to get my very obese friend (her words, not mine!) up into the carriage despite her bum knee. They handled it like seasoned pros—and without making her feel awkward. Gold stars for both of them. The butterfly house stop was delightful, the break was perfectly timed, and overall, this tour felt like the highlight of our trip. Mackinac Island Carriage Tours isn’t just a ride, it’s an experience—fun, welcoming, and one you definitely don’t want to miss.

We had a pleasant young exchange student from Croatia named Millie who made the trip most enjoyable. She knew plenty about the island and was experienced with her team of horses. Her humor made the tour most memorable.

the carriage tours are the perfect way to experience and see the island! we went for a day trip, so if we hadn’t taken the tour, we wouldn’t have even seen a FRACTION of what Mackinac Island has to offer. on the second half of the tour, our driver Tim was hilarious and kept everyone laughing and informed.

Had two great tour guides both were guys one was from another country and had just started the job but was super funny and the other guy had just left the national guard and been on the island for 6months doing the tours and was super awesome and also hilarious definitely knew his information and let my daughter ask a lot of questions! So much fun will definitely be back one day! The nicest people, the best island!

We arrived by 9 AM to avoid waiting a long time for a tour, and we were on within 15 minutes. Our first driver was Lorenzo, and he was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. After the butterfly house, we had Seth, and my son especially liked his humor and storytelling. Both these young men are doing a great job. The tours are great. Slow enough that one can take in the sights, but they get you where you want to go.

Highly recommend these tours. They show everything on the island. They take you to Arch rock as well with a 10 minute opportunity to explore and take photos . The only downside is the long wait times. We had to wait 45 minutes to an hour for our ride.

Was on the wife's bucket list. Tour was about 1 1/2 hours long did one loop around the island. They had a couple of stops that you can get off at and Tour the buildings. We had breakfast at one of the restaurants took about 20 mins to get seated food was good. Lots of little shops you get fudge and niknaks from.
