Mactan–Cebu International Airport is truly a beautiful gateway to Central Visayas. The airport perfectly blends modern design with a distinct touch of Filipino architectural elements, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The spacious layout, natural lighting, and use of local materials make it feel both elegant and relaxing. Facilities are clean, well-organized, and passenger-friendly, making the travel experience smooth and comfortable. From check-in to arrival, everything feels thoughtfully designed. Overall, Mactan–Cebu International Airport is not just an airport but a great first impression of Cebu and Filipino hospitality. A world-class airport that the Philippines can be proud of.

Google
Mactan Cebu Airport is one of the nicest airports in the country — clean, spacious, and beautifully designed with its warm wooden interiors. The staff are polite, check-in is usually smooth, and there are plenty of food options and comfortable waiting areas. But the delayed flights really ruin the experience. It has been happening more often lately, and it can be frustrating, especially when there are not many clear updates. The airport itself is great, but the waiting because of delays definitely sucks. Still, overall, it is a pleasant airport — just hoping the flight schedules become more consistent.

Google
Arguably the best airport in the Philippines. It's clean and surprisingly cozy. The international departure area has a lot of art installations, it's an airport and an art gallery in one. Food options inside the departure area are varied and some cater passengers 24/7, which is great for red eye flights. Comfort rooms/restrooms are cleaned frequently. The domestic departure area also has a lot of affordable food options. There are functional charging stations that are free of charge. Airconditioning works perfect and free wifi is available. Overall, it offers a pleasant environment for a relaxing travel.

Google
perfect airport, probably the best airport in the philippines, so much better than the abysmal mess called naia. terminal building is so clean modern and well maintained, has a good variety of shops and restaurants, and even offers free wifi which is decently fast. it is also well managed, with the check in, security, and immigration, and basically all the procedures in the airport being highly efficient. oh yeah and cant forget the design of the international terminal, such a lovely design that uses traditional architecture, never fails to amaze me every time i enter the building. only slight downside is that the a/c can be a bit faulty in some areas but that is a very minor issue. other than that, it is a role model of an airport, there is nothing else i can complain about it, if you are travelling to the philippines and are particularly interested in visiting the southern regions, use this airport, it's a no brainer, no need for that naia nonsense.

Google
I ave visited several airports in the Philippines, but my first time at Cebu airport for a layover left me pleasantly surprised by its modernity. The immigration staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, unlike other airports in the country. I will definitely choose to use Cebu airport again in the future. I wish more airports in the Philippines will will be like cebu

Google
Both the domestic and international airports are efficient and clean. I've flown from here several times and each experience has been smooth. The interior of the international terminal is impressive. However there aren't many chairs around the check-in counters. Immigration and security procedures were quick and hassle-free.

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is the primary gateway to the Central Visayas region of the Philippines. Located in Lapu-Lapu City on Mactan Island, it is the second busiest international airport in the Philippines and serves as a crucial hub connecting the country's central islands to both domestic and global destinations. Terminals and Capacity MCIA operates two main passenger terminals, each dedicated to maximizing efficiency and enhancing the passenger experience: 1. Terminal 1 (T1) - Dedicated Domestic Terminal Focus: Handles all domestic flights operated by various airlines. Design: T1 previously served both international and domestic flights but was retrofitted after the opening of T2 to handle the high volume of domestic travel within the archipelago. 2. Terminal 2 (T2) - Dedicated International Terminal Focus: Handles all international flights. Design: T2 is renowned for its architectural design, featuring a distinctively tropical and sustainable aesthetic with high timber arches, locally sourced materials, and ample natural light. It has consistently been recognized for its beauty and efficiency since its opening in 2018. Strategic Importance and Connectivity MCIA's location is strategically vital for tourism and commerce: Central Location: Cebu is geographically located in the center of the Philippines, making MCIA a perfect transit point for travelers heading to popular tourist spots like Bohol, Palawan, Negros, and Leyte. Aviation Hub: It serves as a secondary hub for major Philippine carriers, supporting routes that bypass Manila. The Third Bridge Link: The airport's connectivity was recently enhanced by the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), which provides a fast, direct route between Mactan Island and mainland Cebu City, significantly cutting down travel time for passengers. Passenger Services and Amenities MCIA offers modern amenities designed to provide a comfortable experience for travelers: Retail and Dining: Both terminals feature a wide array of local and international restaurants, cafes, and shops, particularly T2, which includes extensive duty-free options. Lounge Access: Several airport lounges are available for both domestic and international passengers. Accessibility: The terminals are designed to be accessible, with facilities for travelers with reduced mobility. Ground Transportation: The airport offers various transportation options, including taxis (yellow and white), car rental services, airport buses, and shuttle services to nearby hotels. MCIA is continuously working to maintain its status as a world-class travel gateway, blending efficiency with a welcoming, tropical Filipino atmosphere.

Google
MCIA is widely considered one of the best airports in the Philippines, offering a great variety of restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, my recent experience at MCIA Terminal 1 on December 17 was disappointing. There was a water supply issue, and during the nearly three hours I spent waiting for my flight, I urgently needed to use the restroom. Although the CRs were open, they were unusable due to the lack of water. I asked around five airport staff about the situation and was told the problem had already been ongoing since late at night. My flight was at 10:40 AM! It was also uncomfortably hot inside the terminal—almost as if the air-conditioning was only running on fan mode. I sincerely hope these concerns are addressed and resolved soon.

Yelp
Flying out to Manila on Easter Sunday. Pretty smooth from drop off to check in. I am grateful for security not rushing baggage check unlike many other international airports where you have seconds to gather your belongings before being mauled over by the next passenger. But I digress. Many eating choices and lots of stores once you pass TSA. Only tip I have is skip the Shakey's Pizza if you're familiar with the chain in America...3 servers but only 1 was actually doing any work. Mojos were pretty thick cut, pizza tasted like Filipino ketchup for sauce, and pasta carbonara was basically Alfredo. $1905 pesos...nonetheless wishing everyone save travels!

Yelp
Rude security. I thought filipinos were hospitibal people. It was a slow day and I was the only person in the security line. I was taking my laptop out of my backpack like you're supposed to. A lady yelled across the room for me to move my backpack a certain way as I was taking my laptop out. Then a man came around and rushed me with attitude even though no one else was in line. I asked him to stop rushing me and he got angry and argued back saying "I'm doing my job deal with it!" Doing your job isn't rushing a passenger when no one else is in line. Then when I got to the other side I told the manager that he was and rude and she just yelled at me in tagalog and they all started talking amongst themselves in tagalog.

Yelp
It's pretty small for an international airport, but do not let that fool you: the little time I spent here was time well spent. MANILA-CEBU: Got off the plane, walked through the tarmac to get my bags outta baggage claim and was on our way out in no time. I exited the airport and entered what felt like an outdoor mall! I thought this was pretty cool! There are dining places, bars, shops. We were on a schedule so I didn't really get to take advantage of any of these places. However, it's cool to know they're there! CEBU-BACOLOD: Checking our bags in and going through security was a breeze. My party checked in early - like... 3 hours early - so there was plenty of time to explore. Hubbers and I hit a bar for a bit of day drinking. Then Big Bro and I hit a couple of shops as we found some hard-to-find souvenirs fam wanted (at the airport, of all places!) The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and overall just a good run. We hit zero snags. Exceptional first experience! And I'm glad and happy for it! Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
I can't say that I will ever write an amazing review for an airport, but this one is small and easy to navigate. Most people speak English so you can easily get assistance if needed. The most important part of this journey is I got my PHILIPPINES BADGE now ! 2025 is gonna be big.

Yelp
The International Airport of Cebu. This is not a big airport, but you can buy browse through a mall like shopping area both inside and outside of the terminal. Lots of shops, restaurants, airline lounges, I even saw a barbershop! A few international flights fly here, as well as a domestic terminal which me and my friends arrived here from Siargao back to Manila. It has two terminals, which are connected inside. As other airports in the Philippines, for check-in you must pass a security checkpoint. Then check-in and then go to the departure lounge. It is seen to be a very modern airport, much more updated and modern than the outdated and overcrowded Manila International Airport.

Yelp
MCIA at Lapu-Lapu City on Mactan [CEBU] So far our domestic travel experiences in the airports here in the Philippines have always been in the morning hours, from Manila we landed in Cebu around 10:45a. Flight MNL to CEB: From our touchdown at the airport our exit was quick after deplaning. Flight time was just a little over an hour. We grabbed our luggages at the baggage claim which surprisingly came quickly. I think it's a nice feature that they accented the middle section of each conveyor belts with planters and tropical plants as the luggages circle around it. Quick glance as we headed out the doors is noticeably the airport is modern and nice with lots of restaurants and shops including a Duty Free shop. Flight CEB to USU: Leaving from the airport with a flight time of 7:05a we arrived to check-in early and were able to note the extent of how large the airport is from the Departure hall and also we grabbed some breakfast. The airport personnel were helpful as they helped guide our way from TSA to our gate. They helped my Mom, pushing her wheelchair. This got us on board the plane before the rest of the passengers. On our way to Coron, Palawan. Happy travels! Review #3328

Yelp
First time at this airport in years and it has had quite the glow up! Many stores and restaurants to eat from while waiting for flights. Some local booths to shop from and also major franchises. Airport is very clean, spacious, and organized (both domestic and international terminals).

Yelp
Wow!!! Being born and raised in Cebu, I really had low expectations with this airport. Growing up as a teen in the 80s, driving my relatives to Mactan Airport, I saw the building dilapidate slowly. Until recently, in 2018 (the last time we visited prior to the pandemic), there were no remarkable changes to both the domestic and international terminals. The new international terminal (with the "banka" wooden canoe" design) was ujust inaugurated, and I thought it was more of a cosmetic improvement with overpriced food and merch. That all changed in 2023. Having experienced both the domestic and international terminals, I could now say management did a fantastic endeavor. Inching closer to the standards of the best international gateways of the world. Clean restrooms, exquisite duty-free shops, shiny floors, a spa, and an eclectic array of restaurants. Keep up the good work Cebu!!!

Yelp
This is less chaotic airport , we got here at night time having to spend only 2 nights and one whole day. Our cousin Jing picked us up . Like Manila international Airport, they have parking spot to temporarily park your vehicle for departure and arrivals. This airport is a lot cleaner and looks newer than the one in Manila. Anyway, it was smooth from getting picked up and getting dropped off by our shuttle service from hotel . It was less chaotic IMO. Also they have awesome souvenir shops Around the airport and was happy to shop since we didn't have time to go shopping here in Cebu.

Yelp
The departure side of this renovated airport is impressive with the several gate areas composed of giant wood beans and wood roof buildings. It is clean and well maintained with the new terminals offering a lot of food and shopping options and places to sit. One of the best airports I been too outside of Manila It's an easy airport to maneuver around with clear signs at all locations. You can even understand messages on the PA system. The old arrival section needs the same make-over as they did to the departure area, but I was glad it was easy to catch a cab to my hotel at a fixed rate.
google avatar

Geselle R.

Yelp
This is a beautifully built international airport. Everything is clean and tidy. Plenty of restaurants to choose from when you're waiting for your flight. Lots of chairs to sit in. There are stores for you to venture in while you wait. And lots of window views to nice scenic areas. Loved our time in this airport!
google avatar

Sheena P.

Yelp
We flew in on an international flight and flew out domestically from this airport. I kind of like how part of the airport is outdoors but layout of it can be confusing. Getting through customs and immigration wasn't too bad. Staff working Cebu Pacific was great and security was fine to get through. Lots of stores for gifts and eateries in the domestic terminal while waiting for your flight so totally fine to come in early!
google avatar

Arun P.

Yelp
The newly renovated airport still has a lot of work happening. This airport has developed over the last few years for sure. Clean and well maintained with the new terminal offering a lot of food and shopping options. Manila airport needs such a revamp desperately. It's an easy airport to maneuver around with clear signs at all locations. Being a smaller city has its advantages and Cebu has clearly made a difference with this airport. Lots of international flights fly direct to Cebu, which makes you avoid a layover in Manila.

Yelp
The place is cool and instagrammable. Near good beaches and white sand. Besides, this is an international airport.

Yelp
Terminal 2 is the arrival and departures for Mactan-International Airort in Cebu. You can take most Asian airlines from SFO/LAX/JFK to Cebu. There is a transfer in between i.e. Hong Kong/Taipei and so on, but you no longer have to fly into Manila. We flew via Eva Air from SFO/Taipei/Cebu because it had the shortest lay over. Glad we did because Eva Air was fantastic, and we got to experienced flying with their Hello Kitty Themed plane. Mactan airport was completed recently I was told, just sometime last year. Really high marks on how seamless it was to enter and depart internationally. They have high technology that truly moves everything quick. It's night and day compare to Manila. The customs and airport staff are super friendly, and they are trained to guide you where you need to go. I like that they offer American/European and Filipino food once inside the airport. A blessing to have Coffee Bean and Tea here as I am a huge coffee lover. Their restrooms were super clean, and they even had attendants to assist if need be. The airport has very wide walking path and clearly mark. There are plenty of charging stations, some next to the seats. There were also lounges for people to relax including comfy sofas. All in all, we had a great experience. Cheers!

Yelp
I have low expectations with Philippines airports. After many trips around the country, I've seen little to no change. This airport though caught me in awe. Nothing luxurious but it is a BIG step from the NAIA and other terminals in other provinces. Comes with stores to keeo people entertained as they wait for their flights. Most importantly, CLEAN BATHROOMS!!! Thank you for upgrade!!
google avatar

Kris H.

Yelp
It was a breeze getting through the airport. Just show up a little bit early. Don't be like the bonehead that shows up 5 minutes before the flight and expect to cut the line expect security not to check them and expect the flight to wait. Get there at least an hour early it's so small you could fly through. Flights load up and leave on time. That's the benefit of such a small airport. They don't have to go around and search for people. And in the Philippines it's normally Filipino time. We had such a great time there hit me up for any questions if you're headed to the Philippines
google avatar

Susan D.

Yelp
This airport is pretty good (when comparing it to others across the world). Lines can get long but they go quickly. My only major complaint is that Cinnabon is only in the domestic terminal, not international, too. Oh, and the hidden massage corner is crazy high priced compared to the rest of the city. Haha I basically fly Korean Airlines from SFO to Cebu so I can skip Manila's hot mess airport... you should try it sometime! Free WIFI is a great plus! So... see ya there!
google avatar

PatrickJ T.

Yelp
Unlike the airport in Manila, we have never experienced any problems here at Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Hopefully we never will have any issues here because we love travelling to Cebu, Philippines!! We have never explored the terminals. We tend to wait with family and friends after we have checked in our bags. So I cannot tell you anything about the amenities or shops. Bottom line is that it is a fine airport to fly into or out of when visiting the beautiful country of the Philippines!!
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Beautiful, clean, and the service was exceptional. And, unlike Hong Kong, they actually air condition the place. They delivered our luggage directly to DFW instead of making us haul it around Hong Kong during a 5 hour layover (thanks for nothing American Airlines of DFW!). Spent my last pesos on fried fish and ice cream for the family while we waited.
google avatar

Diego R.

Yelp
After arriving from Manila, I was asked to go to Terminal 2 to retrieve my luggage but my friend was told to stay in Terminal 1 to get his. The only reason I could think why the different pick up areas for our luggage, was that I flew business. Anyway, when I went to Terminal 2. I noticed its very modern, clean and empty. I just zoomed by customs. If you need a sim card, there's a Smart and Global booth outside the terminal. Also, don't bother going to the money exchange, their rate is lower than the banks.
google avatar

Ideru C.

Yelp
One of the airports where I've never encountered any problems. Staff were always polite and helpful. Many changes occurring right now, so looking forward to it.
google avatar

Jean Claire G.

Yelp
One of the international airport in Philippines. Now its getting better because its under renovation and I already see the improvement. The annoying part of airports in the Philippines is paying for travel tax and airport fee. Airport fee cost around $16 or 850pesos. They accept credit card payment which is good because sometimes we just use all our money left over before we fly back. Its not so huge compared to any other airport international but its one of the biggest airport in the Philippines. I think its good that its not that big because transfering from one terminal to another is easy. For transfer of flights from international to domestic flight is not bad because they offer free bus from one airport to another. I always pick to land here whenever I go back home because its 45 minutes away by plane going to my city. Its actually nice to stay in Cebu for atleast 3 to 4 days because theirs a lot of things that you can do here. 2 hours away from Cebu city you can go to Oslob to swim with the whale shark and go to kawasan falls for canyoneering adventure. If you love city life you can always stay in Cebu City. Cebu is huge and it has a lot to offer.
google avatar

Darwin C.

Yelp
Two words Terminal fee! I would have given a 5 star but what airport charges a terminal fee? Out of all my traveling I've never had a fee for connecting flights. Other than that the airport is still in development but really beautiful. The people are friendly and you won't be disappointed when you're stopping for a layover (except for the terminal fee).
google avatar

Yelp
So much better than Ninoy Aquino Airport, the other international airport in the Philippines, located in Manila. We flew domestic into the Cebu Airport, and first impression was that it was much more modern and cleaner than Ninoy Aquino. Security lines went by very swiftly, never having to wait long. Bathrooms were actually clean AND had toilet paper! And the domestic terminal had solid food options, with some gift shops. Waiting area seemed to be busy during our time here, but we were relieved to have found plenty of options for lunch, including Cebu's favorite, Zubuchon! Glad to have another international option in the Philippines, as this is a much better option to fly into than Manila's outdated airport. Many domestic flights are flown here, too, making island-hopping all the more convenient!
google avatar

Celeste B.

Yelp
We got to see the new international terminal during our recent visit. The new terminal is very open and airy and updated to include the newest technologies. The bathrooms have gone a long way and are beautiful! They are clean and they now provide toilet paper as well as soap/paper towels by the sinks. The toilets not only provide toilet paper but they even have bidets! That's impressive considering how the toilets were in the past and I had to make sure to bring my own wipes and soap. The duty-free stores have a good selection as well and they have some good options for airport food. They even have a Bonchon in there! The airport is still a work in progress but I'm excited to see how it all comes together when it's completed.
google avatar

Bear L.

Yelp
Brand New Terminal 2 is so cool. As same as the glory time in Terminal 1, even u arrived here at midnight, here is always lots of people. So my suggestion is that doing team work would be the best way to pass though the port, someone fill the form for passing, someone get in line for the port. Good luck.

Yelp
Review #039 - 2019 When I planned my trip, my business associate warned me about Cebu being a third world country so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I've been to Laos twice & that's probably as third world country as one can get so I kind of expected it to be similar. Surprisingly, their airport here is way better than Laos! They have working air conditioning and that's a very big deal for us since we were flying in from Japan & it was pretty cold over there. The bathroom is also nice & clean. I'm not a big fan of hot weather so visiting Laos & the Philippine's not really my ideal vacation destination. Although, I do enjoy tropical fruits so one must sacrifice in order to enjoy certain things in life. They have a small baggage claim area so it's pretty easy to find your luggage. The immigration process was much quicker compared to Laos, S. Korea & Japan. The arrival pick up area out front is quite small so you can't really linger around looking for your ride so I missed the person who was here to pick me up due to the fact that I had to go wait off to the side. We were both waiting for each other for a good half an hour.
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
It's capable of doing better. The International departure needs serious improvement to handle the tourist volume. Also improve the AC in here! Flying to Caticlan for Boracay, you can book domestic flights from Manila or Cebu. There's only two flights between Cebu and Caticlan daily. Though I booked my flight from Cebu to Caticlan months in advance, they cancelled it with a few weeks to go. So I decided to spend a night in Cebu instead of sleeping in the airport. My flights from and to Seoul were both around midnight; so plan accordingly if you need to check into a hotel for the evening. My domestic flights involved taking a bus ride to and from the plane. Domestic terminal fees are already paid with ticket purchase. Domestic Departure: The waiting area has blossomed with many stores, eats, and a gift shop. Never can pass up another bite at Zubochon. My Cebu Pacific flights were always at the lower level. So don't linger upstairs too long; and do pay attention for gate changes / delays. Downstairs empty seats were limited and people bunch up when boarding starts. International Arrival: Don't recall too much hassle making it out of customs. Didn't have to talk to any staff or security. International Departure: Massive chaos. Plenty of lines to deal with. Arrive early to avoid being late! First: Security screening was log jammed with tourists. Painfully slow screening. Koreans were confused - no translator! Second: Airline counters. Luckily Korean Air wasn't busy - I was done very quickly. Most Koreans are using Jeju Air - which ofc was jammed up. Third: Terminal fee. No one mentioned I needed to pay this. And I realized something was up reading the signs and seeing stressed Koreans. Again no translator here helping people out. Massive confusion and fidgety tourists. It's 750php USD or PHP only (did not accept KRW oddly enough) You should have your boarding pass. Fourth: Final security line and staff will check for a paid terminal fee. The international wing's smoking room ventilation was broken and the second hand smoke was polluting the adjacent waiting area. Empty seats were very hard to come by. There were some gift stores and restaurants. Airport taxi tips: Using the shuttle/taxi concierge will be a 300 peso flat rate charge. They speak decent English. Skip this and go to the white taxi area for metered trips if you are going closer than a 300php trip. Some hotels do offer a shuttle service, but if you miss it - it may not come back for awhile. White taxi drivers will complain if they have to drive you a short distance and may try to extend-scam your ride or demand a higher payment. So be prepared to negotiate this and/or demand the meter to be running.

Yelp
This airport is clean and beautiful! The place is well kept and everyone is so friendly. Airport has a lot of different stores and places to eat. Had an easy transition at the airport onto my new flight!
google avatar

KevinTawny T.

Yelp
What an easy airport to get in and out. The shuttle bus was there to pick us up from the tarmac to take us to the terminal and in no time at all ... we were out the door and onto our Grab ride to the hotel. The fact that we only had carry-ons helped with the expeditiousness.
google avatar

Jigger Rendon N.

Yelp
What I love about MCIA is they dont have a terminal fee compared to Davao airport. A clean airport with restaurants. Last time I check-in there is a new Jollibee inside the airport very comforting if you need a quick fix for your stomach. Just be cautious on things that is not allowed in the airport it may change sometimes like bringing kalamay they prohibited it then allowed it again and Im not sure the current policy about it.
google avatar

Jasmin M.

Yelp
The airport had been newly constructed and renovated so its very clean big, higher ceilings with exposed beams. I love the fact that its organized and have better food choices. Although you must know that the souvenir shops on this airport is so highly overpriced compared to any airport I've been in the whole world. Even chain fast food like Starbucks, Burger King or McDonalds etc. Apparently they can do that here (only in the Philippines). Make sure you don't spend all your philippine peso for the departure tax. Good news though with the new government (Pres. Duterte) made a credit or debit card an option to pay for your departure tax. It was a headache back then because they only accept cash and there are no nearby ATMs available.
google avatar

Aimee M.

Yelp
I normally fly into Manila whenever I head to the Philippines. But I wanted to see if flying into Cebu would be better because I hate trying to navigate transferring terminals in Manila to catch the flight out to the provinces. What I liked about landing into Cebu is that the transfer is at the same terminal. I gathered up our luggage and walked to the next area and checked in to our connecting flight. So easy. And after the 15+ hours of travel already, you want easy. Everyone we met was super friendly. The porter that helped us was really nice. My son saw the Jolibee at arrivals and the porter let us know that there was a Jolibee in the terminal too. Helpful to know! Tons of food options in the domestic departure food court. I liked the sugar cane juice kiosk, very refreshing when you're hot and parched. What I didn't like was that because it's a smaller international airport, the immigration lines are longer. (But then our luggage arrived right when we finished, so maybe it's no big deal in the grand scheme of things). It's not air conditioned well. So either I'm going through the change or the heat just hit us hard coming from Chicago and the cold weather. The airport looks beat down too. Kind of dingy. (immigration area and domestic departure) Bathrooms in the domestic departure area (food court) were clean though--that was a plus!
google avatar

Jonathan Vincent T.

Yelp
Great airport! It truly developed since then. Choices were limited back then but now, even famous brands are in the airport. Coffee places range from Starbucks to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Truly remarkable! Pro tip: If you want to save on water (since they cost more inside), bring an empty water bottle. Fill it once you're done with the 2nd security check.
google avatar

Fumitoshi M.

Yelp
The International Airport in Cebu islands. That is not big airport. but you can buy some souvenirs, and take a breakfast. There is a cafe to have a meal, take a break. for International passengers, you need 750php for terminal fee after checking in for departure.

Yelp
An airport is an airport. A place to go broad a plane land bar off on an adventure. This airpot is showing some age but it clean and well cared for. After you check in you next need to pay a fee to proceed to the gates. This at the time I was there was 750 pesos. While I thought this was strange as I have never had to do this I realized after spending a week in the Philippines I understand the fee. In the US and many places the airport is supported by taxes. Some people that pay these taxed never use the airport. Here instead of having everyone support the airport it is the people that use the airport pay. Actually not a bad idea. Everyone at there airport was extremely friendly and helpful. I am looking forward to coming to the Philippines and using this airport.

Yelp
The Place was Nice But Need to improve "Customer Service" in terminal crews Some Security Guard and Personnel are Not approachable But Not Bad for a Firstimer

Yelp
I would say that the airport here is satisfactory, efficient, but also fairly basic. I was flying in from Taipei and arrived a whopping 30 minutes ahead of schedule! The airport is small and feels congested; on the way to baggage claim you have to walk down an extremely narrow hallway and feel like the planners. For the second largest city in all of the Philippines it feels like this airport is in very much need of an upgrade. Fortunately I made it from immigration to baggage claim in less than 10 minutes. It doesn't seem like immigration ever gets very congested, as the immigration space itself is fairly small. The longest line by far was for currency exchange where we waited for an absurd amount of time. I would say the biggest improvement they need is to add a few more currency exchange counters. Finally if you're making your way into the city, Uber is definitely the way to go! A second option are the white and yellow taxis. The ride into the city is usually 40mins to an hour and the taxi ride is usually around the $250 pesos so it won't break the bank. All in all getting in was smooth and would definitely come back :).

Yelp
One of the better airports in the Philippines, getting an Uber was easy with the airport free ride codes. They have free Wi-Fi, and a Jollibee and 7-Eleven. The people working there were friendly, and were able to help me input my pickup location so that my Uber driver could find me easily. The airport itself is a little dated, but it works.

Yelp
Checking is a breeze. No Terminal Fee for Domestic flights, yey! Unlike other airports where you are required to pay a fee even for domestic flights, which is totally ridiculous! Airport is clean. Lots of cafes and shops in the departure area which accept both cash and credit cards.

Yelp
Meh, boarding gates at the domestic terminal is totally crap. Airconditioning was so bad, passengers where sweating. Poor excuse.

Yelp
A clean airport with nice amenities. The bathroom is kind dirty though. If you have to use the bathroom, use the ones BEFORE security. The bathrooms after security smell bad, need cleaning and seem worn out and out dated. Also a lot of the stores prefer cash vs. credit. So it seemed some of their credit card machines were down or non existent. The bottles water is the same price everywhere, but they are room temperature or barely cold. If you want cold bottled water buy it from a vending machine. It's the same price.

Yelp
Very clean and friendly airport but be prepared to pay 850 Pesos per person to leave(yes, $17 to leave if your flying international) After customs/security is the marketing directors playpen(After security takes the water that was in your bag and wants you to BUY theirs..). Here you can find some expensive items you'll never need for a flight. All types of liquor and smokes are available for purchase.... but they took my water!

Yelp
The Mactan Cebu International Airport has gone through series of renovations that have made the airport more aesthetically pleasing and at the same time more efficient than before. I always like the availability of food and souvenirs here. For domestic travel, for example, the choices are simple but they keep travelers happy. International food choices are small too, but I feel like no one really wants to eat at the airport anyway. The lounges need work, but even before the renovations started, the customer service has always been great for business/first class travelers. The airport is in no way world class, but Cebu becoming a global destination for tourists and business, I feel like this improvement is well deserved and more than welcome. I only hope that the renovations and improvements continue for our beautiful city so that it will be easier and more efficient in processing travelers in and out of our beautiful city!

Yelp
At least its clean and not like NAIA terminal 1. Good sized airport, clean restrooms and well signposted. The downsides is that there's only one place to buy departure tax creating an unnecessary bottleneck despite having a dedicated line for business/first/status passengers (also, make sure you keep at least 750 pesos on you! But they also accept USD.. Probably at bad rates).

Yelp
Had a connecting flight that was cancelled so wound up spending an unexpected four hours here. The airport is clean, easy to navigate. Lots of food choices and pretty reasonable prices as far as airports go.

Yelp
The airport is under construction, and has a lot of very modern new equipment. International terminal 2 looks nice, but has some major process flaws: No services and hardly anywhere to sit while waiting to check in, at all. All services and vendors are after security and immigration, so DO NOT get there too early. We had a miserable 7 hour layover. Once into the "gates" area there are some nice restaurants and typical duty free. Unfortunately, there is a burger king cooking food and NO External Vents!! Yikes! The whole huge domed area was full of cook smoke and haze. It was crazy! I guess they will figure this stuff out after a while and get those important details right so that the experience matches the nice facility.

Yelp
Getting through check-in for a domestic flight was not too bad. Lines were short when we arrived. There are various dining options, but they were incredibly packed, and the sitting area for the gates around them were just as packed.
