On our trip to Flagstaff, we had dogs and a toddler with us so finding an easy place to dine out meant more limited options. You could say us walking down the street going to Macy's Euro Coffee House was akin to a Macy's Thanksgiving Parade with the kiddo, 2 adults, and 2 dogs in tow (One of them being Tricki the Petulant Papillon). Luckily, Flagstaff is a very dog friendly and outdoor dining friendly town so overall we didn't have too many problems finding a good place to eat.
While there are a decent amount of tables outside, on weekend mornings those tables fill up quite rapidly. We were lucky and were able to snag a table outside around 10ish just as another family left.
The morning menu offers coffee drinks, tea, baked goods, and breakfast items. They also have salads and sandwiches but I'm not sure if those are only offered at lunch. I had the Cafe Viennese and steamed eggs plate. I mentioned we were sitting outside and the cashier said it was no problem they'll be able to find us. I thought this meant the coffee and the food would be served to us so I headed outside to wait but it turns out you wait to get your drink and then the food will be served to your table. As a result, the coffee we ordered was sitting at the counter for a bit.
The Cafe Viennese is a cappuccino with cinnamon, clove, allspice and whipped cream. I got it with no whip and I probably would have enjoyed it more with that extra bit of creaminess. The drink had everything as described but I didn't really enjoy it that much. I liked my husband's cafe mocha a lot better, maybe because you can't go wrong with anything that has chocolate in it.
The steamed eggs platter was nicely presented and had the steamed eggs (I requested it with veggies), toast, and fresh fruit. The toast was really good and so was the jam that went with it. The fruit was a very nice variety and very fresh. The steamed eggs were just alright. I'm sure steaming the eggs makes it healthier but it makes them a little less appetizing in terms of texture and taste.
