Mad Flats

The leasing manager Rafa was really great, he had awesome customer service, was professional, transparent, and very helpful! He made the touring process super easy and I was able to see what the building and the unit had to offer. The communication is great and he follows up with you for any updates or changes. It’s nice to know that the leasing office people are actually present and there to help you. The units have a cool layout and a lot of the people here are friendly! Have a good day!

This place would be perfect if they just had 3/4 or full size fridges. Honestly sad to be moving after living here for 2 years. Management is great, zoned street parking isn't too bad to find, and the selection of stores nearby is awesome. Packages are stolen sometimes but you'll find that in most places.

Was hesitant at first based off of old reviews. Very happy being here and have had zero of the problems people experienced with old management. The studios are quaint, but fine. The front is secured with a key fob and there's an Amazon hub for mail packages. The rooftop view is amazing. I've dealt with Aimee on a handful of occasions and she's a complete gem. Does what she says she'll do and always gets you an answer quickly. Glad I moved in here.

This building had bed bugs, my packages would get stolen, and you could never get a hold of anyone. One time I arrived home at midnight at my key fob was not working. When I went to Alder flats to get it replaced the next day, it still did not work and I had to Uber there and back once again, and it still did not work so they had to give me a code. Which she said the first time around there was no code available. Still waiting for my security deposit to be returned to me to this day. Even after multiple e-mails with Jo Gerdin, I have not received it. Do right by your tenants that always pay their rent on time and return their security deposits. The only helpful person was Erica, but even then I still have yet to receive my deposit back, after leaving my studio in mint condition, and providing my forwarding address multiple times.

The apartment LOOKS good at first glance but if you look any closer you will see how cheaply made everything is. This is not a big deal because rent is also pretty cheap for the area. However, the layouts of the spaces are very poorly done. There is a lot of wasted space (these are micro apartments btw) with awkward corners and strange angles. So the actual space is not great. My favorite thing about the place is the complete lack of communication. I get voicemail 9/10 times I call. I had to call them to get the keys to the apartment on move in day. I had to play phone tag for days to get my mail key. And even when management was on site they still weren't around to keep the appointments they set up with residents. Recently, I called to let management know that packages are being stolen. I am not blaming Mad Flats for this but I wanted to tell management so they could warn residents. She even said that other people had told her the same thing and she still hasn't put any kind of notification out. Very glad to be moving out. 1 star because it is shelter and the rooftop deck is okay.

Aimee at Mad Flats is amazing! She made my whole transition as smooth as possible. Especially with moving out of state from California. I've never moved out of state before and it was much more than I had anticipated. I am so grateful that Aimee was there for me. She is quick to respond, easy to talk to, accomodating in all of my requests, and as sweet as can be! She made me feel right at home upon my arrival. Thank you, Aimee! I look forward to the rest of my lease at Mad Flats and feel assured with her there.

Couldn't have asked for more. This cute apartment is in a newer building, with a modern feel. Rooftop dining deck, outdoor BBQ, and my unit had a kitchen equipped with everything you'll need. Great market/co-op just across the street, Thai and Chinese restaurant within a block for eating out. I have never seen an apartment so well equipped (full sized shampoo, extra towels/blankets, cooking utensils, spice rack, even an umbrella). Will absolutely stay there again. Staff was helpful and efficient

Terrible layout once you move in and even worse management. Could almost never get anyone on the phone when I needed them and got to enjoy wasting half a day waiting for them to show up for an appointment my wife and I had to make in order to get our MAIL KEY. Don't rent here. Move to a cheaper area rather than get pulled in by the rent. And if you ignore this advice for some reason, don't clean the place after you move out, you will be charged a cleaning fee even if the apartment has been professionally cleaned.
