cockroaches were crawling on the curtain right next to my head! I killed three of them myself, but more kept appearing, so I gave up playing assassin and just accepted the creepy reality. Mosquitoes were also relentless, buzzing around constantly. To sleep, I had to stuff earplugs in my ears, tape my mouth shut, and pray nothing crawled up my nose. The bed was no better stiff, and so uncomfortable I woke up aching every day. And I kept finding long hair from previous resident. Clearly, cleanliness and guest comfort are not priorities here.
The staff made things even worse with their rude behavior. My friend checked out and thought he’d lost the room keys, so we paid a 250 baht deposit per key. During lunch nearby, he found them in his pocket and asked me to return them for the refund. I handed the keys back, expecting a simple exchange, but the staff refused to return the 250 baht, saying, “It’s written in the system that they’re lost.” I pointed out that the keys were literally in their hands, but they didn’t care. And took the key and the money I said you can’t have both either give me the key or the money After a frustrating argument, one staff member rolled her eyes, snapped, “You want money, okay?” in the most condescending way, and pulled the cash from the tip box like I was some kind of charity case. It was humiliating and utterly unprofessional.
This left me with two conclusions: either the manager fosters a toxic, uncooperative environment, or the staff deliberately wanted to disrespect me. Both are terrible. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs stay anywhere else in Bangkok.
