Mad Monkey Phnom Penh

I had such a wonderful experience staying at Mad Monkey Hostel in Phnom Penh! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The hospitality was truly exceptional, everyone was friendly, approachable, and went out of their way to help with anything we needed. Special thanks to Kim, Kelly, and a few other amazing team members whose names I didn’t get , they were especially kind and attentive to me and my sister throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and constantly cleaned, which made us feel at ease. We also loved the food and drinks at the hostel’s restaurant bar everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The whole atmosphere at Mad Monkey was fun and relaxing. I’ll definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Phnom Penh. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great hostel experience!

Great stay at Mad Monkey. We stayed in a private room and it had plenty of space and was clean. Bathroom was also clean but a few minor cleanliness errors such as toothpaste stains on the shelving. The staff are very helpful and the reps work well to get you involved. They can also organise tours etc which is great. Location is very good. We enjoyed our stay here and are now heading to stay at Mad Monkey in Siem Reap.

Had a great stay. Was only here for 2 nights but thoroughly enjoyed my time. The pub crawl was great and the killing field tour that is provided is very informative. Special thanks to Jo for being a great tour guide and also helping us out throughout our stay. Would 100% recommend staying here

I loved everything about my stay here. The team helped me anytime I needed and Jo and Titi were awesome with helping me book experiences, trips, tours, buses, whatever. I'm new to the Mad Monkey family but this won't be my last stay at one.

Only reducing the rating to 4 stars because I was offered a discount on accommodation by reception for leaving a 5 star review. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Kim sin was very welcoming and great at his job. Helped me sign up for a walking tour and pub crawl, and beat me in a game of pool. All of the staff are great at creating a good atmosphere. The rooms are nice, with a good level of privacy and security. The 11pm curfew is great when you need a good night's sleep, but there's always the option of going out after the bar closes.

We did the sunset walk with Jo and it was so much fun. He was a fantastic guide and showed us so many awesome things about Cambodian culture and the local area. Cannot recommend doing this enough as well as the hostel being really nice as well.

Even though I only stayed for 3 nights, I had a great time! Got to join in for music bingo which was part karaoke and so much fun. Also arrived and immediately signed up for a morning to the S21 prison and killing fields. Malis on reception lead the day trip and she was great. Very approachable and knowledgable both for the day trip and in general on the desk. Great personality and people skills. Would recommend this Mad Monkey to anyone going to Phnom Penh

Loved our stay here- the staff were our highlight. So friendly, welcoming helpful. Special shout out to Leakena who was an absolute angel letting us know all the social events coming up and for being so so friendly. We love her!
