Second visit here and another great experience. There was no wait this time which made sense since we came in on December 24 and it was less busy than our first visit. Our table was a little awkward since it was near a walkway but it wasn’t a big issue. The food was really good. I ordered the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes and even the short stack was very filling and delicious. My daughter got the kids pancake with strawberries and whipped cream and the portion was generous as well. My husband ordered a steak with green chilaquiles and the steak was cooked perfectly and very tender. The tortilla chips were still so crispy and delicious. We also ordered two iced coffees which were really good. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Overall a really good experience and we will be back.

I’ve been eyeballing this place for months and finally checked it out. I read that this place gets busy, so I came in at 7ish and had plenty of parking and no wait. Portions are huge, so come hungry. Food was good. Staff was friendly and attentive. The place has a good vibe, it’s clean, and nicely decorated. Prices are fair for what you get. Overall, a good spot in Kenosha and I’d come back.

Every time I come here, I'm treated exceptionally (special shout outs to come). From the front hostesses (Hailey & Natalie) to the dining staff (Eduardo & Diana) to management (Heather), everyone is so friendly, efficient, and professional. The food is fantastic, and it's clear why there might be a wait from time to time - but I promise it's worth it! Not pictured is my burger & fries, it was too good to wait for a pic!

I’ve got to give a shout-out to Monica at Mad Rooster Café. She is the best server, and her recommendation for the Golden Harvest Omelette was a game changer. This omelette is, in a word, sensational. Description:** A fluffy egg omelette folded around tender, grilled salmon, sautéed spinach, roasted peppers, and a serrano onion spread. Layered with tangy goat cheese, which I substituted for feta, the dish gets a delightful twist. Finish:** The topping of smoky chipotle Hollandaise adds just the right amount of bold, creamy heat, and crisp microgreens provide a fresh, peppery finish. Flavor profile:** Rich and savory with a bright, zesty note from the chipotle Hollandaise and the feta (or goat cheese) tang. The salmon adds a luxurious, silky texture that elevates the entire plate. Overall impression:** This is one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. The balance of textures and flavors is spot on, and Monica’s recommendation feels especially on-point. If you’re in Kenosha and craving a standout breakfast or brunch dish, the Golden Harvest Omelette at Bad Rooster Café is a must-try. And yes—this could very well be the best omelette ever, at least in my book.

Love Mad Rooster Cafe!! We went today for our first time and my oldest child said it was probably the best burger he has ever had. The waitress was so patient with us and so understanding with my kiddos. 10/10 would come back.

Being from Chicago, we are used to a little bit different breakfast flavors. I thoroughly enjoyed my Mad omelette. However, my guest did not like her corned beef as it was whole and not ground like we are accustomed to in Chicago. The flavor of the pancakes were also a bit off and felt a little undercooked. The never-ending coffee served in large mugs was great. We also ordered the beignets, which, despite not being authentic were yummy nonetheless. Finally between the Kenosha site and the Milwaukee location, I favor the latter.

Don’t be fooled by the so-so pictures of my food. Mad Rooster cafe has delicious food and solid variety. Their seasonal items keep me coming back too. It pained me I couldn’t order items that I had ordered last time I came here. But everyone in my family is always excited when someone suggests Mad Rooster for breakfast.

Get there early, but worth the wait! Food and service were excellent. The place was packed but once we sat down, service was on point and never an issue. Food was delicious. Definitely get their homemade yogurt. I had a side of it their traditional way. My wife got in the “mad way” as her meal…it was huge!

Eggselent, the two times I've been to this restaurant. I've had the same waitress she's amazing and I don't have her name, but I will tell you that all of the servers seem as if they are all amazing. You must try the mad rooster Café if you're in kenosha for a breakfast or lunch

Came here for breakfast and everything was really good. I got the breakfast tacos, hot chocolate, and a yogurt parfait - all of it hit the spot. The tacos had great flavor, the hot chocolate was rich, and the parfait was fresh with a nice mix of fruit and granola. On another visit, I tried the continental breakfast, the crepe, and the fruit bowl - everything looked amazing and tasted just as good. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the crepe with banana and chocolate was a solid pick. The fruit bowl was super fresh and colorful too. The place has a good vibe and the staff was friendly as always. Definitely one of my go-to breakfast spots!

My book club & I met here for a meeting and the food & the service were great! When we arrived we were told there would be about a 15 minute wait. Unfortunately we ended up waiting over 45 minutes I think there was a mix up with another big group they seated not too sure. Because we were meeting for book club & our time was limited this caused a couple of the ladies to have to skip out on eating and/or leave early. That was the only reason our experience wasn't 5 stars. The menu variety was enormous and every single thing we ordered came out fresh and delicious our server was Juan and he was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely return

Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, pretty extensive menu too. The poblano pepper soup is to die for - if you go there and that's what they have that day, definitely take a quart home. They have really good salads and also a very very good avocado burger. I had it for an early lunch and I was not hungry the entire rest of the day. Also if it matters they have Pepsi, not Coke, but despite that the food is still super super good.

We came back again and weren't completely disappointed! My husband had the biscuits and gravy, his eggs were slightly undercooked, but he still said the meal was delicious. I had the chicken and waffles, which also came with gravy. The gravy was absolutely delicious, the waffle was fluffy, and the chicken was moist and tender. I wasn't totally in love with the breading on the chicken, but it was still good overall. Service was fast, and our waitress was nice, though she didn't check in for refills. One ongoing frustration is the pricing. My son's lemonade was brought out as a large without asking, and it rang up at $6.50. Thankfully, the manager stepped in and adjusted it to the kids' price, which we really appreciated. The food is solid, and we're thankful the manager helped resolve the issue. We also ran into the DM who also apologized and remembered us from last time.

From Chicago, first time at Mad Rooster today for brunch. Here are some thoughts: --Do yourself a favor and make online reservations. This place was PACKED at 11am on a Saturday. --Waitress was VERY good, helpful and friendly, even though she had a lot of tables. --I ordered the traditional breakfast. Eggs weren't cooked enough for me, but personal preference thing. --Highlight was the bacon. It was thick cut and delicious. My wife is a bacon connoisseur and she LOVED it. --I saw mixed reviews on the red potatoes, but I ordered them and was not disappointed : ) Recommended.

First time visit. Got seated quickly. Waiter was honest...admitted nothing on the menu was bad. Food was exceptional. We will definitely be back.

We were visiting the area and chose this fabulous spot based on reviews. It did not disappoint. The menu is extensive with homemade items like Greek yogurt. I had to try it, and it was absolutely delicious. The rest of the food we ordered was great as well. Lexi, our server, was amazing. She was upbeat, personable and friendly. The place is also simply adorable.

We stopped in to this restaurant by chance. The parking lot was full on a Monday morning and that is always a good sign. They were packed but we got seated right away. We were sat in the back. I wanted a booth, but no one asked me. The coffee was really good. I got the Spinach and Feta Frittata with fruit and blueberry pancakes for my two side. This thing was AMAZING! My BF ordered the enchiladas with a side of reds. He had his with over medium eggs. He was excited to have great ranchero sauce so far away from the Southwest. I was informed they were excellent. I had so much food left, we both ate it the next day and still couldn't finish it. Definitely the place to go for breakfast

Went here on a Sunday morning for brunch and absolutely loved it! They have an incredible array of options: sweet, savory, classic, crafty and healthy. I ordered the Hot Cider Cocktail, which was perfectly spiced and warmed you from the inside out. The topping of cranberries was a pretty touch, although I personally didn't need that many of them. The Berry Powered Steel Cut Oatmeal was generously sized, and although served warm instead of hot, it was very tasty and filling. Especially after adding all the fresh sides! We did not have a reservation, and were lucky to get a table, considering how quickly this place fills up. This is a great place for families, with something for everyone.

Love this place! Food is wonderful . Full menu anything and imaginable to order. The service is attentive. It is a very busy lively place. It has booths and a family friendly atmosphere. Put yourself on the wait list. Many more visits to come . My half order of blueberries blunts was melting in your mouth !

4.5 stars . Friendly service, though our waitress was a bit forgetful. big menu with lots of variety and latin-inspired options. Kid's menu items are generous in size. The fruit tacos are a cute idea - two big pancakes folded over Nutella and berries. Good coffee too. There are nice comfy booths. The only miss was I when the hostess tried to seat us at a table being blocked by a server in the middle of serving several large plates - that just didn't make sense given how many other open tables there were at the time. This location doesn't have a big tractor right at the restaurant entrance for kids to sit on like the original location does (there is one at the edge of the parking lot by the road, doesnt have quite the same desirability).

I would probably go 3.5 but I'll round up, had easy online ordering and friendly service upon pickup. I ordered the egg white healthy omelette and subbed chicken sausage for mushrooms (for an up charge) with potatoes and a biscuit. The omelette was HUGE so great portion for the price. On par for what I expected. The potatoes were mostly nice and crispy, super tasty but really oily so I did blot them a bit with a napkin. The biscuit fell short, it was kinda dry and gummy, the jam helped but wouldn't get one again. Overall, for the price I felt it was worth it. Just would swap maybe try a different carb next time.

If you are in the Kenosha, WI area you MUST try the Mad Rooster Cafe! This was a recommendation of my daughter's roommate and it was the highlight of our trip. This is a breakfast/brunch restaurant and closes at 3:00pm. We got to the restaurant and it was packed. people were parking everywhere! we checked in and only waited about 25 minutes. The restaurant is decorated like an upscale farmhouse and is very pleasing. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming. Our server, Esmeralda, was awesome! My daughter ordered the Espanola Omelet, my wife ordered the Mad Club, and I ordered the Corned Beef Hash. The food came out quickly considering how busy this place was and the food looked great. The Espanola Omelet looked cooked perfectly and had a halved cooked Jalapeno on top. The Mad Club, a turkey club sandwich, was packed with turkey and looked awesome. The Corned Beef Hash was fantastic! this is not out of a can. This was huge chunks of super tender corned beef, seasoned well, with potatoes. I ordered the eggs over easy and they were perfect. I opted for pancakes along side they were great as well. Total before tip was about $65.00 and filled us up. If you are in the area, this is a must stop location don't be scared away by the packed parking lot. It's worth the wait.

This diner is right off of highway 94 in Kenosha. We came in on a holiday and were seated right away. The service was very nice and quick. My husband and I both had the chilaquiles rojo. I ordered it with chicken chorizo and he had it with the steak. It was a very tasty meal. There was so much chorizo on my plate! The breakfast potatoes are delicious as well. I appreciate that there were crayons for kids as well as a kids' menu. Unfortunately the coffee is just mediocre.

First of all, stoked to see all the reviews as we traveled up to drop our kids off at camp. It was father's day and we knew it would be an extra busy day for any breakfast spot. Scoring a Yelp top 100 brunch spot is no easy feat. We put our name in. And waited. And waited past the 45 minutes predicted. Beautiful day and we were good with it knowing we'd be rewarded. Much to our surprise the food was meh? my breakfast croissant was way cheesier, messier and bigger than i expected and not really a croissant. my partner's corn beef hash was salt upon salty. Pancakes, which came out after we were finished, were great but there was an eggshell in them. Merp. Maybe we got too excited, maybe the wait made us delusional but I'd call it good and not great. Service and our own server were on point and no knock to all of the hard workers there, they took care of us well.

Came here for brunch and I was impressed. I was surprised how an omelet was $16 until it came out. You could choose toast or pancakes, and one choice between potatoes or fruit. I settled on the carnivore omelette stuffed with meat and cheese. I got the fruit cup as my side, but I would get potatoes next time. I decided on the pancakes for my carb to make it worthwhile. The omelette was delicious and the pancakes were light and fluffy. The fruit cup was good, but some of the fruit wasn't in season, so they weren't as sweet as I'd like. The only downside was that my friend I was with used their waitlist online, and we sat there for a while waiting for a table. Once you make a reservation, you are supposed to check in with the host, but she didn't know, so we sat there waiting for our table while multiple people came in and got seated right away. Not sure if she missed a note on the site but we lost some time due to it.

Food was overall good! They have a big menu with lots of fun variety and plenty to choose from! The potatoes are definitely a must--they're unique and delicious. I'm a big fan of Anodyne coffee as a Milwaukee resident so that was a fun plus too! The side of fruit is impressive and isn't just melon and honeydew like a lot of places normally have. My mom loves bloody mary's but she didn't like the mix they served (she said it was too horseradish-y, the server said it was a common complaint amongst customers) but our server was quick to remedy the problem with a different drink with no problems. We went on a Saturday brunch time and it was pretty packed but it was a quick wait with great, quick but awesome service! I'd definitely go back and try a few different things I wasn't able to try the first time around.

I had the Down on the Farm Skillet with pancakes and it was great. I took half of the skillet home for another meal. Joselyn was fast and friendly. Great service. This was on Wednesday so it wasn't too crowded. Added bonus, Woodman has $2.49 for gas right behind the restaurant. Since I am from Illinois, this is cheap .

Personally. And I mean PERSONALLY. The food was very oniony and it didn't really stand out. I feel like there was no seasonings used at all in my food.

First thing was the amazing service, so friendly and quick. Second was the delicious food, absolutely amazing and delicious. Very fresh and unique along with quick service. A definite ten out of ten! Can't wait to get back to try other menu options!

Tiny portions, the red potatoes are a terrible side choice as the don't get any crisp on them and are just soft and mushy. When you order a skillet they miss ingredients, and food seems to get cold easily. On the plus side the do seem to cook their eggs correctly, and the pancakes were decent.

We have now been here three times and have enjoyed everything we've had. Service is excellent, even on a busy Sunday. Also, the servers are knowledgeable about the dishes and always ready to make suggestions.

Everything we have tried here has been amazing. Tomato Basil soup is out of this world. Easy ordering online. Breakfast and Lunch are worth it.

Host staff was not very friendly. We had about a 20 minute wait which wasn't bad, but it seemed like everyone that came before and after us was seated before us (we were a table of 3) The bathroom had a sewer smell and was not very clean. Our waiter was very kind and the food was good: we ordered the española omelet, carnivore omelet and chilaquiles and all were good. We especially like the fresh fruit as a side :)

Nice breakfast spot with a wide ranging menu including lunch items. I had the short stack which was very moist. My wife had the bananas, foster French toast which she said was also a mistake get again.

Food is great but be careful the portions are super big. I was on business trip and once I tried it, I was a regular! The service was also quick. And there were nice tables with window views. You can also eat very healthy. Great place hands down.

Mad rooster Café boasts an extensive menu offering something appealing to nearly everyone who walks through the door. The menu itself contains pancakes, skillets, original dishes, Benedict, omelettes, smoothies, a variety of handcrafted, beverages, sandwiches, French toast, waffles, crêpes, scramblers, variety of Greek yogurt, steel, cut, oatmeal, signature, sides, bakery, and more. The dishes are quite generous and proportionate in size, and I've yet to have a bad bite. Even when this place is slammed, the consistency of the food remains steady. If you're coming here during peak dining times, be prepared to not only park in the Woodmans parking lot, but also prepare ahead of time to put yourself either on the waitlist for brunch or breakfast, or make a reservation. Without it, the wait times are wildly long! If you're reading this, you're already on Yelp and can add yourself easily to their waitlist or reservation options, depending on what's available, by going to their Yelp page directly. Once you've added yourself to the list, you can see where you are in the position line, and receive real time notifications set to your preference. Doing this will cut your wait time overall significantly. My only ding for this place is that because of the sheer volume of people, the place can feel very loud, noisy, and rushed to have you get in, eat and get out. With that said, maybe it's a better experience during off hours (does this place have off hours?).

I go here for breakfast occasionally and I've never been disappointed, Wait staff is friendly and prompt and the portion sizes are huge.

Stopped by Mad Rooster for a quick lunch while in Kenosha. Service was prompt. Staff was friendly. We ordered the Country fried pork chop + Chorizo gravy ( breaded pork chop topped with our chorizo gravy. Served with two eggs any style, choice of side and toast or pancakes ) and The Continental (two eggs any style, baby reds, two buttermilk pancakes + a regular size juice). Breakfast was mediocre. The baby reds were not good at all. Very greasy and has an odd flavor to it. I didn't like it at all. Eggs were cooked to perfection tho. The fried pork chop could be more tender and less salty.

Cute brunch restaurant - food was a bit bland but it was cute! Stopped by while in town for a wedding. House red potatoes are like greasy fries which was weird.

Good food, esp homemade yogurt in half fresh pineapple with granola! Service was excellent. Busy venue. Just kinda of expensive for me.

We were greeted by the smiling host Mike upon entering at the 7 AM opening. Well lit, super clean and organized from the start with a nice medley of curated music in the background. The Denver omelette was fluffy and outstanding and my wife's poached eggs with applewood smoked bacon was top notch as well. Our cheerful waitress Stephanie kept the cofffee cups full and checked up regularly on progress. If we lived nearby we would be here weekly. Super breakfast offerings!

My wife and I had breakfast at the Mad Rhooster Cafe in Kenosha, WI this morning. We were seated in a booth as we requested right away. We were happy to find that not only was the table and seats were very clean but we also enjoyed the bottle of cold water waiting at our table. Our waiter, Chad, was at our table within a minute, leaving us with menus and taking our drink order. With in another two minutes Chad delivered our coffee and creamer and asked if we were ready to order. Well Mad Rhoosters menu is quite expansive and everything looked delicious. Chad told us to take our time and answered a couple of questions we had. After a few minutes Chad stopped back to see how we were doing. Unfortunately my wife was still having a hard time making her final decision and Chad said no problem. When Chad walked away a group of four people arrived. Chad knew them on site and knew what what they wanted. His conversation with the group showed that he had a true interest in making the group feel at home. Shortly after that Chad returned to our table with fresh coffee and to finally take our order. My wife had the Avocado toast with fruit and I ordered the biscuits and gravy with red skin potatoes. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. We both had take home for lunch later. While we were there Chad stopped by just to see if we needed anything and took the time to chat a little. The experience we had was wonderful and really made a great start of our day. Having a server like Chad was the icing on the cake. When we return we will definitely asked to be seated at one of Chad's tables.

I stopped here for breakfast because it was close to the highway on my way out of town for some outdoor activities that rain would cancel as I left. The place is newly remodeled from the previous Perkins restaurant with hand painted wall art. The staff is friendly and the service had no issues. I ordered a spicy Bloody Mary and the and the down on the farm skillet. The Bloody Mary was average with a delicious deviled egg on top. The skillet is ham, bacon, sausage, baby red potatoes, onions, bell peppers. Tomatoes and cheese. For $15 I thought it was skimpy on the meat compared to most meat skillets I have had. The skillet was good with with the skin on baby reds. I have a pet peeve with restaurants that don't tell you that they don't butter the toast and they serve you room temperature toast and cold rock hard butter that's absolutely impossible to spread on the toast with out completely mangling/wrecking the toast. The toast was good Texas toast but not very enjoyable because it wasn't buttered, I'm old school and buttered toast is what makes breakfast so enjoyable.

The food was very mid. The service was fairly good. The restaurant and music was just fine. There were two young employees: one male and one female who were constantly holding hands and touching. The male touched the females waist and slapped her butt and the female touched his face. I heard possibly a manager say no touching. Touching and flirting/ dating in the workplace is not acceptable. Keep it professional and leave the relationship at home. Period.

First time dining here. Service was excellent, our meals came out fast and were delicious. Very cute breakfast spot! Highly recommend!!

We visited this restaurant on Easter Sunday. They did a great job of getting people in and out. We had five people so we ended up waiting longer for a table but once we were seated we were well served. The food was very good. We ordered the Mediterranean omelet, the monte cristo, a skillet, scrambled eggs and a española skillet. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. The restaurants is family centered and has a very positive vibe. I think you will enjoy this place. Stop by and give them a try!

The bacon was thick and delicious. The lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes were so amazing! The fruit was so fresh. I can't say enough amazing things.

The food is always good. Drinks are yum- especially the Bloody Mary. One of my favorite places to eat in Kenosha.

This was our first time here. First off the restaurant was clean and very welcoming. The hostess greeted us immediately and was very friendly. The server came to touch base with us very quickly, wiithin 3 minutes of being seated. We both ordered an omelet and went with the fruit for our side. The omelets were huge and had large pieces of meat and other ingredients. Lots of cheese unlike other restaurants that you have to wonder if they even put cheese in it. Only complaint is that the ingredients were stirred into and cooked with eggs. I prefer the eggs to be the star and the ingredients to be an accompaniment in the middle of the folded omelet. Even so they were tasty. The big surprise was the fruit cup!! The best I have ever had in a restaurant!! The fruit was fresh and a large portion. Would definitely go back, but gave them 4 stars because of the way they prepared the omelet.

Today, a coworker and I brought 6 residents from an Assisted Living to Mad Rooster for lunch and to say we were impressed is an understatement! To the hostess, Monique, who greeted us warmly and mentioned twice how happy they were to have us (despite having a big group without calling ahead - I tried, no answer) to the wait staff and other team members, many of whom helped me get our residents to the table (in the back which worked out well!) Esme was our waitress and she was so sweet and patient! The food was phenomenal and came out without issue! Thank you to everyone today, on the way back home, we already decided we'd be back!

My experience is always amazing. My mother and I always have breakfast there every Thursday or Friday. First, the food is amazing. It's hard to pick different things from the menu because when you like a dish it's tough to try something different. Second, The staff is so friendly despite always being so busy. They do there very best to make our experience enjoyable. Third, saving the best for last is our favorite waitress Lexi! Lexi is amazing and so friendly. Anyone reading this review, if you go she works Thursday through Sunday. That young lady needs a raise and a company car. She probably won't get a company car, but a raise is definitely in order. She goes above and beyond when waiting on us. I didn't suggest anything in particular on the menu because everything is so good.

We have always liked the food, we return for the service and enjoy the ambiance. Live near Ohare but will make the trip to Kenosha or visit the one in Milwaukee when we are there for a weekend.
