Madada Mogador

"The friendly French owner and cheerful Moroccan staff at this intimate seven-room riad hotel in Essaouira make you feel more like a houseguest than someone occupying a hotel room. Accommodations are individually decorated with a mix of Moroccan and French-colonial-style pieces, and spacious bathrooms have hand-hammered brass sinks and tadelakt soaking tubs. The lounge has a wood-burning fireplace, there’s a charming bar just beyond a fifteenth-century stone archway, and the excellent restaurant specializes in seafood fresh from Essaouira’s bustling port."

Beautifully situated hotel! This boutique hotel sits at the edge of the medina, within a stone's throw of the picturesque port, and overlooking the ocean. I could sit on the roof terrace all day! Really loved my room, it was lovely and unique with an ocean view. I looked forward to my breakfast every morning looking at the view. You must visit the hotel's restaurant next door the food was absolutely delicious!

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location overlooking the Atlantic. It’s a small hotel which is its charm . The views are wonderful and it’s perfectly located for exploring the port and the medina . Essaouria itself is fabulous . Breakfasts were lovely and if temperature warm enough can be served on the terrace. Their adjoining restaurant is excellent .

We spent four nights here and very much enjoyed out stay (in the 'Madada' room with its huge bathroom). It's a small boutique hotel, just inside the walls, which is well-appointed and with friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfasts, and there's also a lovely roof terrace with views of the beach and across to the port.|Not the cheapest spot, but very good value for money and a great location - everything's only 5-10 minutes' walk away.

Great place to stay to enjoy this delightful coastal town. Good room, great terrace with lovely view and lovely place to have breakfast. Very nice helpful staff. The restaurant below which is related is excellent too - called La Table.

We felt so lucky to have been advised to stay at the Madada. Great location cloe to the Souks, sea and port, what more do you need. Clean quiet with a warm welcome from the team ever time you returned. The ladies who made breakfast and biscuits cooked triumphantly, with fresh little touches every day to mix up the breakfast offering. The rooms were spacious and airy and well maintained, with our 3 children sharing a larger room with Terrace which was much used as the five of us gathered there to have pre dinner drinks. Lovely big baths to soak in after a day sightseeing., clean linen and delicious toiletries, perfect.

Our party of 4 stayed in the Loft Suite and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room (awkwardly accessed through the kitchen) is large, with high ceilings, light-filled, and furnished with very interesting furniture and artifacts. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms more than adequate. The staff was very friendly and helpful and was happy to arrange dinner next door (highly recommend La Table restaurant) and outings for us. The location by the ramparts is perfect for a visit in Essaouira. This loft is perfect for 2 couples, or a family with children. I would highly recommend it!

We stayed two nights in this very nice boutique hotel where we occupied three rooms. It has a terrasse with view on the sea which we enjoyed a lot. It is ideally located between the medina and the beach. The restaurant belonging to the hotel, La Table de Madada, us just excellent. Make sure you book the table in advance. The only weak point is that one of the rooms had a humidity smell but it seems to be common in Essaouira. Otherwise, all perfect.

This place is amazing! The staff pays a lot of attention to details. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is great, with plenty of delicious options. You should try the hotel restaurant for an amazing culinary experience!
