Madam Kwan’s is hands down one of the best places to try authentic Malaysian food in Kuala Lumpur. While it was slightly on the pricier side, the variety and quality of the dishes make it well worth the visit. We dropped by around 1.30pm on a weekend and had to wait about 10 minutes as there was a short queue — a sign of how popular the place is! Once seated, the staff quickly handed us the menu, and we placed our order via QR code. We went all in and ordered asam laksa, prawn noodles, nasi lemak, otah, rojak, chendol, teh tarik, and teh halia. Honestly, every dish hit the mark — full of flavour, rich in tradition, and clearly made with care. It was a satisfying meal from start to finish, and we left feeling full and happy. We will definitely be back next time to explore more of their menu!

Just had a delightful lunch at Madam Kwan's! The Nasi Bojari was as vibrant and flavorful as ever, a real standout. The Cantonese Noodle Soup was comforting and the broth was rich. I also enjoyed the light and refreshing Ipoh Kway Teow Soup. While the Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken was tasty, the curry could have had a bit more of a kick for my liking. The Honey Lemon Ice was the perfect sweet and tangy refreshment on a warm day. The Deep Fried Dumplings were crispy and satisfying. And of course, no Malaysian meal is complete without a perfectly pulled Teh Tarik (hot) – it was just right. Overall, a satisfying and classic Malaysian dining experience!

Google
Food in general was good. The assam fish soup was not tangy enough. Amount of fish was also quite miserable. Loved the Asparagus with cashew and lily buds. Service was good but the environment... very noisy and cramp. Customers passing us kept knocking our table or our chairs.

The food was great and Malaysian authentic - however, you need a minimum of 10 minutes of wait as it gets quite busy at dinner. The staff are quite attentive and was helpful we mentioned that our son had nut allergy and made sure to highlight food which had nuts or peanuts oil. The price can be on the high side but it’s worth it.

Curry Laksa (MYR 20.90) Broth was quite strong. Overall, the taste was quite good. Nasi Bojari (MYR 31.90) Tastes nice. The fried chicken was fragrant, but the rice was a little bland. Huge portion, though the variety of condiments was limited. Otak-Otak (MYR 27.90) First time trying otak-otak with real fish meat inside. Taste was quite unusual and not very enjoyable😅 Char Kway Teow (MYR 24.90) Bland taste — not suitable to my palate. Teh Tarik (MYR 8.50) Just a decent teh tarik. Served with two pieces of traditional cookies. P.s.: -Service was slow and not particularly friendly. -Overpriced for the quality and portion size. -Prices exclude 10% service charge and 6% GST.

Was walking around the twin towers and I noticed this restaurant at the 4th floor . You can smell thier food from far away. I ordered nasi lemak beef rendang and cantonese beef noodle . The nasi lemak was so different and its my first time to eat fish floss or chicken floss with nasi lemak its a nice touch to the plate honestly its gives a nice flavour with every bite , i was also surprised with the sour salad , its almost like kimchi. The onion sambal was good and beef was shredded and soft . I was so satisfied with this dish . Then the cantonese beef , for it looks so ugly at the beginning and i didn’t like the way it looks like but surprisingly it was soo good and flavourful. And we took ice white coffee it was good and refreshing. Overall , I will definitely visit again to try other options like char kwue tiao and nasi lemak woth prawn .

The stir-fried beed noodles is phenomenal, not that greasy, full of flavour. The curry laksa on the other hand was ok. It needed a bit more punch for a laksa, it was a bit bland. Thick soup but not much laksa flavour. The service was good. They’re quick and hands-on with what we asked. The atmosphere was very crowded and overwhelming, but it’s not their fault since it was lunch time. Maybe go here when it’s not peak hours.

I was enjoying myself in this restaurant. The foods were fabulous and delicious, especially the fried rice. That's why there were a lot of people queuing outside this restaurant. It was worth the wait. The staff were kind and nice. The service was fast too. It was my first time in this restaurant. I guarantee that I will be coming back again in the future. It was perfect to me. I love this restaurant. 10 out of 10.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today without having a chance to check any of the reviews ahead of time and I'm actually glad I did so I didn't decide to go somewhere else. We started with the mixed satay appetizer and I have to say the beef was good but the chicken was amazing. And the peanut sauce?? Give it to me straight with a spoon and I'll be happy. We split also the Nasi Lemak with beef rendang, curry laksa, and the fish laksa as well. The curry laksa was the tastiest of the 2 laksa choices, although if you really enjoy a fishy flavor, you might prefer the other one. The Nasi lemak was also great. So full of flavor! We ordered on QR code and then they brought out the food as it was ready. Loved that they had photos of the food and recommendations in each section.

Yelp
A very big menu with a lot to offer, however - I only came here to grab a quick dessert while shopping in Suria KLCC. The staff were straightforward and busy doing delivery orders. We tried scanning the QR code to order, but the internet was terrible in the mall. There was also no free wi-fi provided. We tried flagging down a waiter and he ordered for us on his phone. After 30 minutes, we FINALLY received my order of cendol. A really long wait and there were no other tables in the restaurant. The cendol was delicious and refreshing. Palm sugar was kept on the side, so tou an sweeten it as you like. Overall, good cendol! But I would not recommend waiting 30 minutes for it.

Yelp
I came here on a recommendation from my Gran driver last night. I've passed by this place before but there was always a line. Today I was able to walk in and was welcomed right away. I ordered the Nasi Bojari as my main. It was like a combo platter of Maylay must trys. Beef rendang, fried chicken legs and prawns in sambal. The shrimp were very tasty maybe a bit overcooked the chicken leg was moist and juicy but needed a little more seasonings. The beef was simmered perfectly and paired well with the rice. I did order the deep fried dumplings as a starter. I think this was my favorite dish. I also tried the fried tofu in curry. The curry wasn't as spicy as I expected from a malay curry. The service staff was busy but efficient. I came here for a early lunch and was surprised to walk right in. Overall I'd give this location a 3.5* for food, 4* for service and location. It's also a great spot for people watching

Yelp
Service is very bad and they don't explain the ingredients on the food. If someone has allergy, good luck to them. Food comes in a piece

Yelp
If you're a foreigner visiting Kulai Lumpar, you can't go wrong with Madam Kwan's. Everything is decently priced and you can feast like a king (drink + appetizer + main course + dessert) for around $7 - $8 US a person. I'm not sure how the Nasi Lemak fares against other local joints but it was the best Nasi Lemak I had while in my stay in Malaysia. The rice was super rich and buttery, and the meat was extremely flavorful. I had to also order Kee Twao since it resembles one of my favorite Chinese comfort foods growing up - Chow Fun. It tastes similar but it definitely has more spice and kick to it than what we Chinese put into it. Their drinks are also a must-get. Ask the servers for recommendations, we tried 5 different drinks and they were all good.

Yelp
The service was the worst I have ever had. The food was ok but not something to get out of your way to have. Very bad experience!

Yelp
Great place for anyone, be it friends or families to dine in. Truly Malaysian classics and continental dishes are available too. A bit pricey for me though...but worth it. Big portions.

Yelp
Oh my nasi bojari! Madam Kwan's has some really tasty stuff for a reasonable price. 120 RM for 2 mains, one veggie dish, and a set of combo satay (the sauce was excellent). Definitely get the nasi bojari if you have to pick between that and nasi lemak. While the nasi lemak was good, nasi bojari is superior in every aspect down to the rice. Definitely didn't regret taking a chance at this place.

Yelp
It's a nice restaurant serving tasty Malay food. I'm pretty sure this is more expensive than most of the other Malay places. But I felt it was worth the money, and actually still very cheap compared to US price levels. The beef rendang was delicious, and the beef was cooked well. Curry laksa was good. Also nice was the curry chicken skewers. I'd recommend against the mocktails. They are not worth the premium over the regular drinks. For example the only difference between the lychee drink and the lychee lemon mocktail (except the price) was that the lychee lemon drink also comes with a slice of lemon!

Yelp
Very disappointed! Firstly the waiter was very unwelcoming and curt. Came here after a few years to have the char kuay teow but the taste was far from authentic, ridiculously expensive and what's more they had run out of kuey teow noodles so they mixed it with yellow noodles! This is also the reason why our food came out so late. It really put a damper on our craving for char kuey teow. Will not revisit madame kwan again as the quality has definitely gone down the drain.

Yelp
This place is located on the 4th floor of the (air-conditioned) Suria KLCC Mall inside the Petronas Towers Building. A friend of mine recommended this place for its nasi lemak. We went around 6pm on a Thursday evening and didn't have to wait for a table. There was a lot to choose from the menu, but we ordered the nasi lemak (since it came highly recommended) as well as the curry laksa. The food came out quickly. The nasi lemak was good! The coconut rice and curry part was delicious. The chicken was just a tad dry. It also came with what they call shrimp floss and anchovies with some kind of sauce and a hard boiled egg. The curry laksa was yummy. I liked the noodles and the broth and the veggies and tofu were good. Again, the chicken meat was dry. The place has a nice ambience and is very clean. The service was good when we got it - there were a lot of servers on staff but sometimes it was hard to get their attention, like when we wanted to order or when we wanted to get the check - had to flag someone down. By the time we left, the restaurant (which is pretty big) was full and there were people waiting outside!

Yelp
Fine dining at the mall seems to be a thing in Asia. Well I liked it, its a dressed up fancier version of food you'd get on the street. This would be a good place to take people who are want to try the local foods, but are hesitant to eat street food (their loss I know.) Anyway the service was good and the food was quite good. I had a very nice Laksa here, the broth was hot and it packed some heat in the spice department. So much so that my Vietnamese friend tapped out and couldn't handle more than two bites. I thought the beef rendang was a bit dry but still serviceable. Excellent Nasi Lemak, the mix of textures and flavors in the dish were spot on. They make a great Barley Ice as well. I preferred the street food on Jalan Alor, but I don't mind this place at all.

Yelp
Since I'm a sucker for Mall Chinese Food, I thought I might as well try some Mall Malaysian Food. I was hoping to tuck into some curry laksa, or perhaps the nasi lemak. However, my wife doesn't care at all what I want, and so we got the appetizer sampler (Madam's Starters for 2) with the intention of ordering more afterward. Other than the mildly interesting but ultimately underwhelming otak-otak, it was solid fried food that could really have been served anywhere in the world. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing to go out of your way for.* Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. Maybe chain spots are the same throughout the world, but our servers took a cue from my wife, and really couldn't have cared less about me and anything I wanted (i.e. a menu, drinks, more food, a check, etc.). So we just left and ate more street food, which was probably for the best anyway. _____________ *We should've gotten the curry laksa, wife. Why must you always ruin my life?

Yelp
In Kuala Lumpur for the weekend and wanted to try Malaysian food! Since our group was quite large, it proved to be a bit hard to eat together at a market, which I would have liked, so Madam Kwan's was the best option! We had the beef rendang, nasi lemak, fried rice, curry laksa, and some drinks. I will say the food was nice. It wasn't the best that I've never had but it was good. The curry laksa had noodles that were too soft for my taste. I prefer noodles al dente, but tasty overall! I actually really enjoyed the beef rendang. The meat was nice and tender like pulled pork! Portions aren't humongous by the way, which was good for us. What was different about the fried rice was that there was dried fish in it. Not good for those who don't like seafood though! The service was okay. I understand that restaurants in Malaysia are sit, eat, and go. We did not fulfill that requirement so I'm sure we took up too much time in there! But with a party of 6 this restaurant was able to accommodate us all. For that, thanks Madam Kwan's! Overall, this restaurant was good, but not exceptional. The combination of the nice interior, decent price, alright service, and good food earned it 4 stars from me.

Yelp
Sitting at one of the most prestigious mall in Kuala Lumpur, the place is pretty crowded. The food, mixed satay , the dipping sauce is amazing. The noddle dishes are also pretty decent.

Yelp
I think I got the Beef Rendang. Whatever it was, it was the best meal I had during my short stay in Malaysia. The meat was flavorful. The rice was so good I had to order an extra side to eat with the meat. Place is located inside KLCC. So if you are planning to visit the Petronas Towers, definitely give this place a try for local cuisine. It's not fancy and it is rather small, but that is all made up for in the great tasting food.

Yelp
This place was great! We just had a business meeting in the Petronas Twin Towers and since we were only in KL for one day, something proper Malay was high on our agenda. We had the Nasi Lemak, Nasi Bojari, Malay Satay, Otak-Otak, and some Assam Prawns. All of this for a business lunch at the ridiculously cheap price of €45 for three people ...

Yelp
Madam Kwan's in KLCC is easily one of the busiest restaurants in the whole mall. Every day during lunch hour you will find the place packed and people waiting in line outside. They even have a waiting area outside their store since they have grown so accustomed to huge crowds! But fret not, usually the wait is about 20 minutes and then you get a table as their staff is very efficient so the second a table is available, they will clean it and get the next party seated. Food here is typical Malaysian and you will find items like Char Koay Teow, Nasi Lemak, Satay and Otak-otak among others. Apparently, this restaurant was the brainchild of one actual Madam Kwan who came up with all of the dishes. For me, the food here is alright but the prices are just exorbitant! I quite enjoy their Char Koay Teow and Hokkien Noodles as well as their Banana Fritters with ice cream for dessert (so so good!) but otherwise find it too expensive for typical Malaysian dishes. Service is excellent though, I have to say. I am impressed that their staff are trained so well.

Yelp
It was our first time in Malaysia and we were looking for authentic cuisine. We ended up here. The place was full when we walked in. The host was attentive and got us seated right away. The ambiance was welcoming. Decor were eye catching, the ones that make you feel like you're in the right place. We ordered Laksa Soup and a chicken dish and shaved ice. The food was fresh, the portions were filling. It's only 3 stars because we asked for mild level of spiciness but the Laksa soup burns you mouth. I wish they could adjust this as not everyone have high tolerance to spicy food. It was a memorable experience overall. Thank you Malaysia.

Yelp
Okay, Madam Kwan's is by far my all time favorite Malaysian restaurant. So excited to be reviewing this place. I love everything on the menu but like many of the frequent patrons, i always opt for either the nasi lemak or nasi bojari. Sometimes i cant decide so me and daddy order one of each and share share. This way we get to eat both! For dessert i either have the super delicious cendol or the sago gula melaka. Both equally sweet and satisfying. I've been to many of the outlets and the food is standard all over, i appreciate this fact because you dont want your favorite nasi lemak tasting different at different outlets. My favorite outlet is at Pavilion. Why? Cause Madam Kwan herself is there most days. Yes, yes the real Madam Kwan, as in the lady you see on the menu. She's so cute and humble, she greets you as you enter her restaurant and even seats you to your table. Was super starstruck the first time i saw her and told her she made the best nasi lemak ever! As for pricing, to me its reasonable but i know some people (my boyfriend) that find it pricey for usual hawker food. He doesn't understand why he has to pay rm15 for a plate of fried rice when he can get it for rm5 at a hawker stall. Well to each their own.

Yelp
Enjoyed a nice filling and very tasty dinner at Madam Kwan's in Kuala Lumpur. Started with the mixed Malaysian Satay, the peanut sauce was fantastic, I was scraping the bowl at the end. For the main course I went for the large and delicious Nasi Bojari, rice was super flavorful, chicken tender, prawns with nice spice and the beef smooth and silky. Service was very efficient and friendly, they deal with the large throughput of guests very well. I recommend for a nice meal in KL!
google avatar

Ian L.

Yelp
Famous for their local cuisine, Madam Kwan is an institution. Serving Malaysian food in a high-end setting (read: clean, modern), Madam Kwan has a few outlets across the town. You will find their standout dishes like Nasi Lemak and Nasi Beroja as well as other local delicacies like Ipoh hor fun, laksa, deep fried squid and beef rendang. There are all delicious and well-prepared. If you dine at their Pavilion outlet, sometimes you would even spot Madam Kwan herself! (yes, she is real). Well, to be honest, you can find similiar food (if not better) in your warung or other restaurants. At Madam Kwan's you pay more for the ambience, service and setting. And some reasons, this seems to be a very popular choice for Singapore tourists.

Yelp
I was looking forward to a meal out here with my family of 9. We were here for opening fast during Ramadan. At first, things were looking decent - food initially came out quick and then, half of our dishes never came in. Despite numerous talks to rectify the situation with a couple of different servers, the dishes just never came for a good half hour. By then, most of everyone who had food, had finished or just about finished. When the dishes finally came (three orders of the Mushroom Chicken Rice - which should be one of the simplest dishes), my mother's order was pink: RAW. And even the dishes that did arrive - well, if you've had local food anywhere at a homemade style place, or at a hawker stall, well, Madam Kwan's is overhyped, overpriced and far from authentic.

Yelp
Madam Kwan's is undoubtly the most popular malaysian restaurant chains nationwide. I don't know about you guys but I don't even know who Madam Kwan truly is but no matter where is she, I'm kinda grateful to have her and her restaurants inside my life. They open lots of franchise but the KLCC one is always my favourite. It's located at the top level of the Suria KLCC Mall just next to the Petrosains. They serve various type of foods and drinks but since I'm always hungry, I always go for the heavy ones. It's signature Nasi Bojari platter is quite gigantic that contains a cup of Nasi Lemak with boiled egg with 2-3 different sides. I don't know the meaning of the word 'Bojari' but I definitely know the tastiness of the food. The atmosphere is very condusive and always packed of customers. You need to wait a bit to be seated but that's quite alright. Heck, I'm willing to wait for hours as long they always maintain their current performances in making other people's stomach happy.

Yelp
Madam Kwan's is at a decent location inside Suria KLCC Mall. We would like to taste classic Malaysian food but could not endure the street stands under hot sun, humid and sweaty air. Madam Kwan's setting would meet our desire. We ordered Malaysian Satay Mix (馬來式串燒, $5.20, a classic and tasty Satay meat); Nasi Bojari (關姐三色飯, $7.20; a house specialty with an interesting combination of chicken leg, shred pork meat and seafood, came along with a ball of "3-color rice") ; and Rice-coconut (椰香飯, $0.93; in case that there's not enough rice for 2 hungry people). We also ordered a Red Bean Ice (紅豆冰 $2.40; for nostalgic reason). Hot Chinese Tea, costed $1.65, was flavorsome. We enjoyed the first dinner in Kuala Lumpur.

Yelp
This place never fails to offer the best recipe's in town. I always enjoy going to Miss Kwan with friends weather in BSC or KLCC. it's always enjoyable local food well served with awesome drinks. It's funny how I still would get my order while my friends wait though. This is something that always happen in KL not only at this place. I hope they figure out a system to really start managing this better, and to wait till they serve the table all at once instead of partially.
google avatar

Vanessa O.

Yelp
Madam Kwan was one of the famous restaurants that offers Malaysian Local Cuisines and one of it will be our famous nasi lemak. Since they became well known, they had then expanded Miss Kwan as their "fast food chain", offering a quick pay and eat as you go rather than have a proper sit down. I was there once with a friend during lunch hour (which is usually a peak time) and it was full as usual but we managed to get ourselves seated at a nice corner. Menu was limited and not cheap too. You will be expected to pay at least RM20 for a decent lunch (may or may not include your drinks). To me, Man! That's quite expensive for a lunch! I had their rendang nasi lemak and the taste wasn't as good comparing to Madam Kwan - disappointing! What I can say is that make this place a second choice only if Madam Kwan is full.
google avatar

Nicole N.

Yelp
This place is really popular but I feel like the quality of food went down. The sauce and plates we got were not as vibrant as we had hoped for. A lot of it seemed a bit over cooked, over priced and the portions also seem tiny.

Yelp
I swear their tagline "Truly Malaysian Cuisine" should be altered to "Truly Bad Service" . I don't know madam Kwan, your website says you "love" serving your customers Malaysian cuisine, but what I tasted and experienced was utter hate. I for one don't believe in rating business based on service alone, but even your food was overpriced and honestly was mediocre tasting at best, probably enjoyable to those with lack of taste for food or tourist who has not experienced truly good Malaysian food. I do however love your modern decor and nicely designed menu. The time I dined was at 11am, way before the lunch rush, so your lack of service is inexcusable. Lets start with the food. I ordered their Mushroom Chicken Rice RM 22.90- it comes with chicken, rice, soup and a side of sauce served separately. This dish was not horrible, but the chicken breast lacked being moist and tender. It was tough, dry and was smothered in some kind of cold mushroom garlic sauce. I think that sauce is unnecessary and overwhelms the flavor of the chicken. A good chicken rice doesn't need to be drowned in sauce, because the chicken is the epitome of the flavor. The rice itself was lacking flavor, and was lacking fluffiness, tasted like chicken rice I get at a bad food court. The chili and garlic sauce however was delicious and on point. I didn't like the presentation of the food, because it seems lazy and uncreative. The mushroom was good and plump, but it was served whole, and it was stone cold. I would have served the rice with a side of bakchoy and on its side the chicken drizzled in a light sauce with freshly sliced cilantro. Their Nasi Lemak RM21.90 has serious issues of being confused. A typical nasi lemak is served with rendang, hard boiled eggs, crispy anchovies and peanuts, cucumber and a nice sambal. At madam Kwan their nasi lemak is served with shrimp floss and acar, rendang, rice and sambal. Who the hell eats nasi lemak with shrimp floss, just ew. Plus honestly the nasi lemak lacked flavor and aroma, i got better nasi lemak on the side street for like only RM 6/7. Their drinks is actually not too bad, but severely overpriced like everything else on their menu. I tried their bandung RM 8.90 and it was good. Now their world class service is truly epic. Firstly as they sit you after NOT greeting you, they would walk you to your table like you are a refugee, complete with their grudging sour face and evil eyes , smiling would be out of question of course. Next they would simply slam the menu on the table like no one is looking. Then they would ignore you for the next 20 minutes until you can actually flag them. Finally when they make a mistake of taking my drink order and sending it to the table, they would stare and give you that poker face like it was your fault to begin with. Not to mention no please and thank you for the next 100 miles. The time I was here was 11am, and there the place was parctically empty. For those considering Madam Kwan, please save your money and go to little penang. Or better yet go and dine at a real authentic Hawker. The food here is without love people. Parking is available in the underground parking of KLCC with a rate of RM 10-50. Avoid lunch time, because the overpaid Petronas minions would be swarming this place.

Yelp
Malaysia review #6 Normally I wouldn't consider a shopping mall the place to go for a nice meal in a sit-down restaurant. However, KLCC has some pretty decent restaurants and Madam Kwan's is one of them. Our group of 6 decided to come here for dinner one evening and as I was the tourist / foreigner, I was happy to follow along. SERVICE: When we arrived it was quite busy and we had to wait 20-25 mins for a table. While waiting I looked around and noticed the restaurant was modern and very clean. Once seated service was friendly, polite and attentive. Food came out of the kitchen pretty quickly as well, a surprise considering how packed the place was. FOOD: We started with Roti canai. It's a light, almost flaky, tortilla size flat bread that's served hot. Tear off a piece and dip it in the delicious curry sauce served with it. SO good, one of my faves! The family also ordered a traditional Malaysian Nasi Goreng Ikan Masin (fried rice with salted fish) It was tasty at first, but then the fish became over powering. They loved it, but I'll stick to a more "normal" fried rice, thank you. Nasi Lemak, a very popular and traditional Malaysian dish: rice cooked in coconut milk, chicken rendang, sambal, anchovies, peanuts and a fried egg. Very tasty, but also quite spicy! YUM! Rojak: An interesting fruit and vegetable salad (cucumber, pineapple, jicama, bean sprouts, puffy deep-fried tofu with a thick, sweet, dark brown sauce that I believe also has tamarind in it). This salad is fresh and tasty, but the sauce has a very unique flavor that takes a little getting used to. OVERALL: Had I not walked through the mall to get to this restaurant, I would have never expected to find it in a shopping mall. Good service and authentic Malaysian cuisine, definitely worth visiting! YUM!

Yelp
Madam Kwan has no doubt one of the most delicious Nasi Lemak you can find. The only setback for me is the really steep price for a plate of a local dish like that. Having said that, I still visit it every now and then, but I really think its not that worth it. If you are visiting the place anyways, I high recommend the Beef Rendang here, it is one of the best I've tasted. As for deserts, I usually go for the Cendol which is not that bad. My friends and family members also had the Sago desert before and they were a fan of it too.

Yelp
Nice authentic tasting food but the price has risen to such an unreasonable amount that I cannot recommend this to anybody! Go to your local mamak or malay restaurant. Their portions will be much bigger anyway.

Yelp
It use to be my favorite and I would come there all the time but lately the quality of food is decreasing and I'm very disappointed.

Yelp
If your looking to experience the ultimate range of malaysian delights then head on over to Madam Kwans. This restaurant was the brain child of an enthusiastic chef, Madam Kwan Swee Lian whom incorporated all the elements to create a malaysia truly asia themed menu. This cafe style restaurant serves the classic favorites like the nasi lemak rendang, curry laksa & nasi bonjari. As for the ala carte dishes, be sure to try out the favorites such as the fried tenggiri & asam fish. This particular outlet is constantly crowded given the location, however don't expect to wait too long to get seated as the service here is pretty quick. This would be one of the more expensive local cafe style restaurants, so be prepared to pay a premium to feast on your local fav's in a comfortable spot.

Yelp
This is the most happening Madam Kwan's outlet. I used to work here years ago and with a new refreshed look and uniform, it does look better. Located at the 4th floor of KLCC where all the other restaurants are at, this easily does stand out because it takes up 2 lots near the center court. During the weekends, you'll definitely see a long queue towards this place. And easily once a month, you'll get to see Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing himself dining during the weekends. Services here are top notch because they do train their staffs to serve and how to collect in a proper 5 star manner. At least that was what I felt I learned back then. I've tried almost all the food there and I would say they are all great except that the famous secret recipe bojari sauce does taste a little different ever since Madam Kwan's herself stopped doing it. Here's a food hack. Pack the Bojari sauce and eat it with roti canai. It's the best thing ever!

Yelp
We were sat down after a quick 5 minuets. They gave us menus knowing we were there. We had sat there deciding what we wanted. But once we knew what we wanted no one had come. So we sat there for almost 20 minutes with no service. We even told a guy to find someone to serve us, but nothing. We ended up leaving due to no service. Don't recommend.

Yelp
Service was very fast, which was pleasant after waiting in the long queue. Yet the establishment was crowded yet not too cramped. The Nasi Bojari was well priced with all the great ingredients especially fried chicken. The prawns were also very nice. The sliced beef was also nice and tender. The ABC was a step up from normal roadside ABC and it was pleasant as well.

Yelp
This place was awesome for lunch, we had fried rice and curry and satay for appetizer. The service was friendly and efficient. We came here for a quick lunch and it was also our first meal in Malaysia. It definitely didn't disappoint!

Yelp
There was a queue outside Madam Kwan and since I was tight on time, I headed opposite to Miss Kwan instead. The outlet's concept is an express version of Madam Kwan especially for those looking for a quick lunch. I was surprised to see some signature dishes from Madam Kwan on the menu such as the nasi bojari and nasi lemak. Unfortunately you would think a place like Miss Kwan would offer meals at lower prices but the price was still the same as Madam Kwan. Meals are mostly RM20 and above which I found to be quite expensive for an express meal outlet. Only good thing is you don't have to pay for service charge as it is self service. I opted for the asam prawn rice but was disappointed because it only came with 4 pieces of small prawns on a large bed of onion asam sambal. I wouldn't really bother with Miss Kwan next time and head straight to Madam Kwan instead.

Yelp
First the food was actually quite good. Tasty and exceptional. However the service is probably the worst. The server Kelly appeared to be irritated when we asked for anything. Another male server also forgot to bring extra glasses and showed his displeasure. I felt horrible about the service and sad for this service given to fellow Malaysians.

Yelp
Wasn't really impressed with the food. The place is packed. It felt like you are a bit rushed to finish your food so they can pack more tourist inside.

Yelp
service is fine but the food...for me it only deserve a three star...probably because the recommend makes me hope higher than this...just normal food court level...curry, cannot taste the flavour of coconut however the manu says it has...the tofu size is way more small than normal and the outside isnot crispy...

Yelp
Probably one of the first outlet ever to open, I remember eating at Madam Kwan's KLCC when I was just a kid. The Malaysian food served here has been revamped to be of hotel standards with properly trained waiter and waitresses. Back then I loved eating their Nasi Lemak with curry chicken as their rice is very fragrant and the curry chicken is tender. Now I usually opt for their Nasi bojari with fried chicken and the chicken is usually a quarter chicken consisting of the thighs and drumstick. Quite a big portion and I always feel satisfied eating here although it is a little pricey as compared to what it was years ago.

Yelp
Really bad service. They don't know that the appetizer comes before dinner. They messed up on our order too and did not bring all our food even after several reminders.

Yelp
Love love love their Nasi Lemak even though there's no kacang. (i love my nasi lemak to have a certain crunchiness) but their nasi lemak served with chicken curry is d'lish! Apart from that i'll go with their Nasi Bojari

Yelp
Miss Kwan's is a mini version of Madam Kwan's and it serves different food from Madam Kwan's. The food in Miss Kwan's isn't as nice as they don't have the signature fried chicken and rice. Miss Kwan's serves the normal Malaysian delights, such as nasi lemak, sambal prawn rice and so on. The price is cheap, but the food doesn't stand out.
