We Asked 5 Travel Experts Their Favorite European Island Destination—and They Picked These 3 Spots
"Truly incredible from the water, this cluster of smaller islands off Sardinia’s northern coast begs to be explored by boat. I love renting my own or joining a catamaran or sailboat day trip to amble through electric blue waters, punctuated by leisurely swim stops along the way." - Stacey Leasca

The water was amazing 😻 The beach was crowded because it was high season but still it was breathtaking. We swam to the other end of the beach and there was a little cave. The water is crystal clear 🌊 Do not bring food to the beach because there is a wild boar 🐗 and it is hungry 🤤

The North Sardinia trip around Maddalena Archipelago on The Pegasus was fantastic value. When they drop you off to swim somewhere, walk a little bit furthur round the bay....the sands are softer and whiter. Perfect trip and lovely pasta onboard. Loved this place!

Superb with unbelievably clear blue turquoise waters.
We took a boat trip from Palau which took us around the archipelago. We had shrimp pasta on the boat, and there was an option to buy a plate of mussels (€10). Pasta was okay, but the mussels delicious.
