We heard about this place from my wife’s grandparents and decided to give it a try. Our waitress was nice and gave us some recommendations. We got the fried chicken and a buffalo cheese burger. Both were good. The chicken breast was a little on the dry side, but the other cuts weren’t quite as dry. The potatoes and gravy was really great and we also really loved the bread.

Best food in the state! From rolls and corn bread, to the incredible soup, and then the salmon with fresh corn was amazing! The only thing better was the free pie between 3-5pm and the incredible staff who are friendly and helpful. Love you Maddox!

I was told this is some of the best fried chicken. I was a little disappointed. It was good but not great. The breading had no flavor. The chicken was juicy but that was the only good thing. The rolls looked amazing, but again, they failed to deliver any flavor even after lathering them in butter. The thing I liked the most was the strawberry pie. It was delicious!

I went with a big group and the service was terrible. Half of our group was offered pie and the other half was not. They then brought out some other dessert to someone else and did not offer desserts to the other half of our group. Maybe our waitress was not attentive to our needs but she also did not refill my soft drink when it was gone. I ordered a steak well done and someone else ordered their meat well done and both came back very pink. They were both not even close to well done. They were medium at best. Since I am over paying for a steak, I would appreciate it to be cooked the way I want. An overrated place that should not be visited until they learn to take care of their customers.

My Husband and I stopped in for lunch. Our server was Elise R. She was charming, delightful, and attentive. The food was Excellent, the amount of food you get for the price is Amazing. I got the chicken fried steak, I chose soup to start, and I got mashed potatoes and vegetables. My husband got a burger with fries and he chose a salad to start. Plus Elise put bread on the table the moment we sat down! Yum!! Their raspberry butter is Delicious! It is rather loud inside but that's because of how busy they are. Can't wait to visit again! We're looking forward to dessert next time Elise! 😁

We met our cousins for dinner here. This is one of their favorite places and I see why the food was great and so was the service. I definitely suggest you make reservations. If you don't like a family crowded atmosphere. Then this may not lbe the place for you. It is a little costly but, worth it.

They have some of the best condiments I've ever had. The Famous Fried Chicken comes with this delicious "gravy" for dipping (it's actually a butter sauce, not a traditional gravy), they make their own cocktail sauce so the shrimp cocktail is strongly recommend. They also have the best sour cream any of us have ever had at a restaurant, or anywhere. And that raspberry butter with those rolls.... INSANE! The food is really good too. And a HUGE shout-out to Jamie for hooking us up with exceptional service with a super cheerful attitude, as well as sour cream to take home 😋

Maddox is one of my favorite restaurants, it holds so many wonderful memories from prom and family dinners, girlfriend lunch to my high school class reunion in 2014. I was so excited to share this resturant with my fiance' yesterday. We ordered the fried chicken lunch, it came with a fresh garden salad, mash potatoes and gravy, with corn on the cob. Plus the in-house made rootbeer and the amazing bread bowl with raspberry butter. Needless to say Bill loved it as much as I do. Our waitress was a pure delight, I felt like we won the lottery with her. Everything tasted amazing, we were so full but took home fresh peach pie to share. Thank you Maddox for another epic meal, it was worth the drive from SLC even with the small wait time to get seated. The customer's waiting were so friendly, and we had a lovely chat before we got seated. I totally understand why this place is always so packed, Maddox does food and customer service right. Clearly the packed waiting room is a testament to your 75+ years in business. I highly recommend Maddox, and look forward to our next visit. Kudos to our fabulous waitress and the servers, they have a hard job, but did it with pride and that was so wonderful to witness.
