Madi a Thavha Mountain Lodge

Excellent day visit and fantastic service! We loved our experience here. They arranged a tour for us and we had lovely food in the beautiful gardens - Thank you!!!

Great place and friendly staff, however there was leakage in the rooms from the rain during our stay, the drainage system in the shower kept on getting clogged and we were not happy that the staff would switch off the geyser without alerting us. There is a bit of a wait for food orders, so it is advisable to place your food orders 4hrs prior. They have paintballing but it was disappointing to learn that there was no PPE for the activity. Special thanks to Juice for making our stay pleasurable and catering to all our requests.

Madiathava is not worth it's 4star rating anymore. I first visited the lodge in 2021,the service was excellent, the food was great and the amenities were perfect. However, on my return visit now December 2024 it's clear that the establishment is in trouble. The final straw is getting washed out and torn old hand towels instead of the fluffy white bath towels that are standard at a four star resort. Vanessa

I visited this place a month ago. Wow I was impressed with how welcoming, and friendly all the staff members were. The attraction site was absolutely fulfilling. This place has all in one, I got to get massage, did quadbiking, swimming and ziplining.

The hike is well marked but be warned,it is very tactical...but the reward by the falls is priceless...on the flip side,they don't allow you to bring food and drinks for the hike which is absolutely non logical,their hike pack ain't good and enough for the almost 15km hike... hopefully this can be rectified as hikers we bring special meals and drinks.

They need to upgrade the rooms make it look fancy..it can't be 4 star hotel and they don't tile their floors.room service please our rooms has to be cleaned and change sheets ..in morning and have to make a phone call asking of they will and comes an old man to swep around 13h00

This is a beautiful place,with stuff that is willing to go a million miles to customer satisfaction,and their hiking trails are awesome,and they also have a zip line which i recommend you try(They do welcome day visits for those who may wanna enjoy the entertainment in the facility,we stayed there monday to saturday,there is a gallery which i recommend,you learn about vhaVenda,Bapedi,Batsonga and a whole lot of things to see in there,their massage is awesome,two water falls and springs that supplies water in the property are some of the nice things about the place, If you are around limpopo and wishes to do a zip line,just visit this place,it is a lovely place to visit.

Booked an hour long full body couple's massage. The first lady was very nice while the second had a bad attitude. The massage was quite good. However, it lasted only 40 and 35 minutes, respectively. The second lady was late and started five minutes after the first, rushed the massage, went out halfway through for a small break, came back in, and finished her massage first. She then bolted out of the room, leaving the first to tend to us as the clients. It was very underwhelming as an experience and definitely not worth the R900. The menu (a laminated page) was overpriced and bad in terms of selection, with about 10 options in total. Everything (whether it was two chicken schnitzels, beef stew, lamb curry, or oxtail) was R200. Sides (pap, veg, rice, etc) were all R40, and the reviews were not good. The starters (gizzard, crumbed mushroom, salad, etc) were also R40-50 and did not seem appealing. The service was well enough. The people were overall nice, but the place seemed disorganised and definitely not what you'd expect from a remote lodge. As a whole, much could be improved.
