"'The truly unique, locally sourced items and elevated service' set Madison’s Restaurant apart, says Littlejohn. Located inside Old Edwards Inn, the fine dining establishment is open to the public for lunch and dinner, and its menu features items like braised short rib pasta, grilled octopus, and a bacon-wrapped sausage-stuffed pork chop." - Travel + Leisure Editors

We had breakfast as a part of our package during our stay at 200 Main. Totally loved everything about it! The food and ambiance were fantastic, and the service was superb! Definitely will return and I highly recommend.

Everyone was very nice, but for the price you pay... There could be improvements. The whole place smelled strongly of seafood? Sanitation rating was only 93.5(I just expected it to be higher). A waitress who brought the appetizer spilled a vase of water all over our table and although she apologized, I just felt like we could have been offered a dessert, new appetizer or even cleaned up a bit more? Our booth stayed pretty wet for the rest of our dinner. However, to end on a positive note-the things I enjoyed were :how friendly our regular server was; he took our picture and didn't rush our meal. They wrote Happy Birthday on Mom's creme brulee and she said the french onion soup was the best she's had. I had the meatloaf. Pictured.

Wow, lunch at Madison's was the highlight of our weekend getaway. The food was great, the atmosphere elegant yet cozy, and the service was absolutely first rate. Carlos, said he had been a server at different restaurants for 11 years but Madison's was the first place to make him really want to provide service as good as the food - and that attitude came through in every interaction. We had a reservation but that was not necessary on Sunday morning anyway.

We anticipated this meal would be the highlight of our long weekend in Cashiers and Highlands. It was anything but. Drinks took way too long to arrive, your special of the evening (Salmon) was already sold at at 6PM. How wis that possible? Your Bolognese looked more like a Stroganoff than the red sauce we expected and the noodles were pasted together, dry and starchy. When I was offered a replacement meal, I ordered the scallops with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were flavorless and they had the nerve to charge me for potatoes, explaining that this meal is on the a la carte portion of the menu. But given that this was a replacement for a problem meal, I thought that to be very nervy. It took a couple of rounds of trying to make that point to the very contentious Manager, Luis Leon, but he ultimately took it off the bill. All in, for my party of four, I spent just under $400.00 for a lousy meal. The high spot of the evening, was the entertainment provided by your house raccoon. And, to be fair and balanced, my wife's Trout was excellent. That's why you got two stars, instead of one.

Love the ambiance of the restaurant and the wait staff was excellent. Service was very fast and the coffee was very good. The only issue was one of the items I ordered had something in it I asked to leave off. Even so it was very tasty. Great place to eat.

My fiancé and I recently got engaged in Highlands, NC. We had dinner at Madison’s shortly after the proposal and the staff went above and beyond to give us the most incredible dining experience. I can’t say enough good things about our server Sam and manager Kate. The food was amazing, everything we had was delicious. Everything was so perfect, we decided to go again for breakfast the next morning- which was also amazing. 10/10 recommend and we are already planning our next visit!

I had an exceptional dining experience! The foie gras was perfectly rich and silky, a true indulgence. The baked feta was a delightful surprise, warm and creamy with just the right balance of flavors. For the main course, the NY strip steak was cooked to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. The service was attentive, and the ambiance made for a memorable evening. Highly recommend! Five stars!
