We stumbled upon Madison’s at the Old Edwards Inn based on a friend's recommendation for a late lunch. Although we were informed that lunch service ended at 2 PM, arriving at 2:10pm, we were pleasantly surprised when they seated us regarrdless with smiles on their faces. We started with two glasses of Riesling and their fabulous trout dip. The service was a perfect 10 out of 10, and the staff was incredibly lovely.
For lunch, we ordered the liver and couldn’t resist trying the shrimp and grits, which turned out to be one of the best I’ve ever had. Later, we made our way to their Hummingbird Bar for cocktails and tasted their signature caramelized bread pudding, which was nothing short of fabulous. If you're in Highlands, there's no better place to stop for a drink, a bite to eat, or a divine meal. Also, such a beautiful place full of history!
