Another steakhouse in the city center with less crowd. You'd simply get value for money. Main courses are served in quite a big portion. Order the bread and butter while you wait for the food. There could be more choices of the meat from different parts and sources to choose from.

Excellent! Travelling from the US, we were in the city <24 hours so did not prepare for an evening out and was surprised when alot of restaurants in the area were booked. Unfortunately several places denied us because we did not have a reservation. Came to this restaurant and I’m so glad we found it! Upon arrival there was a great guy (I think Jacob) who was very friendly, greeted us and got us a table right away without hesitation. Food was excellent and the prices were reasonable given the food quality and preparation! Very cool set up as well, open concept kitchen where you can see everything is homemade and the sauces - chef kiss! I heavily rely on Google reviews when picking new places so felt the need to give them a nod!

Lækker mad til en god pris med en god beliggenhed // Food was very good and tasteful, lobster was delicious and so was the rest of the food. Atmosphere was a bit too loud and crowded. Staff was very friendly but also seemed in a rush. Prices are good and all in all it was a good visit.

The food was of high quality but not to my taste. Place was very clean and beautiful. Service fine, however one waiter kept talking Danish to the others at the table (7 people in total) while talking English to me (on multiple occasions) - probably assuming that I, as the only brown person on the table, did not talk Danish. At a finer place like this in central CPH, I find it highly important that a waiter reads the table and familiarize one self with the custommers before jumping to any conclusions on language etc.

We were only in Copenhagen for a couple of days, but we're lucky enough to stumble on Madklubben while out searching for somewhere for dinner. The entrance was very warm and welcoming and the host very accommodating, despite being very busy, he found us a booth downstairs. Our drinks order was taken swiftly and arrived shortly afterwards. For starters my partner had the caesar salad which was perfectly fine with homemade croutons, and I had a wonderful steak tartare which was seasoned and balanced to absolute perfection. For mains we shared the chateaubriand, which was cooked perfectly, but if I was being very critical it was hacked rather than sliced. However it was delicious and very tender! We had a selection of sides, the duck fat fries were delicious but that duck fat didn't really shine through, the ponzu and yuzu dressed pak choi was delicious and the onion rings were crisp and nicely seasoned. My partner's pepper sauce wasn't to either of our liking unfortunately but it didn't overshadow a wonderful meal. A great meal, in a beautiful setting in a city we both fell in love with.

We spontaneously decided that we wanted a steak and this was the closest place. Now I'm just sad that I didn't try it earlier! We both went with the striplion and a side each of fries and mashed potatoes with bacon and onions (brændende kærlighed for the Danes!). I got the pepper sauce and my friend got the bearnaise. Both steaks were tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The mash was creamy and quite thick but not sticky. The onion and bacon topping really elevated the side. The fries were a little too oily, but tasted alright. Both the sauces were good as well. We each had a passionsfruit lemonade as well which was amazing. The real star for me was the cheesecake though! It was so creamy and delicious and the crumble gave it a bit more texture than a normal cheesecake. I will definitely bring my partner there for a date night I'm the future! Oh, and they start of with free popcorn 🍿

Great experience as usual! 👍 This was my first real dine out after corona and this was really delightful. This is a top restaurant with a simple menu that's easy to understand and what they have, they sure know how to cook 😋👍

My sirloin stake arrived cold and half of it was fat. I also had to wait for the food for almost an hour. After completing to the stuff they offer to give me a new stake but because of the long wait I wasn't in a position to put more time. The cold stake wasn't removed from my bill unfortunately.
