I was here during my business trip to Alicante with my business partners, and everyone was thrilled. The coffee is freshly roasted on site and tastes fantastic – rich, mild and full of aroma. The atmosphere is super cosy with a cool, creative vibe. Great selection of drinks and tasty snacks. The perfect place to relax, work or meet up with friends. Highly recommended! 👍

We got a chai latte and a lemon and poppyseed sponge cake. The sponge cake actually came like this, like someone took a bite out of it. We asked was this the portion and they said yes. €3.75 for this. The chai latte was also not hot, it was moderate temp. This place is very touch and go sometimes it can be lovely and other times very disappointing. We got the sandwiches here another day and the vegan one is really lovely and filling but the scrambled egg one comes cold which is a bit disappointing. The coffee is lovely here but they don’t know how to do iced drinks they always serve them hot with ice in a separate cup. Like I said 50/50 place good space but doesn’t always satisfy

On holiday here I sought out a proper coffeeshop and Madness did not disappoint! They were very gracious and enthusiastic answering my questions about coffees, their in-house roasting and even let me smell different fresh beans. I drank a French press coffee in store, then a Chemex to takeaway and both were amazing. I also got whole beans of both coffees, and I can't wait to brew them.

Love this place! Lace time the waiters (two men) were a bit unfriendly and not interested in attending the clients properly, but today there were nice ladies who were very lovely. That’s why today 5/5;) This time I got a Blue smoothie, was very cool! Felt like they indeed make it with no sugar syrup, just frozen berries

You’d be mad to miss this absolute gem of a coffee place when visiting Alicante! The decor is incredible and is similar to a mad scientist’s lab. The love and passion for the craft of coffee is on full show and the staff do a wonderful job of keeping everything running smoothly. My partner got the Eggs Benedict and said it was delicious! As was her oat milk cappuccino. I opted for an Aeropress and it was so cool watching the barista select the beans, grind them and then proceed to craft my drink. The texture was silky smooth and the taste and smell both packed a punch! Definitely up there with one of the best coffees I’ve had during my time in Alicante.

An incredible selection of coffee drinks, pastries, and more. The atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. Whether you’re into trying something new or just want a classic like an Americano, cappuccino, or croissant – you’ll find both here. Everything we tried was delicious. My carrot cake was especially moist and full of flavor. The pistachio mocha was also excellent – rich, balanced, and a bit different. The café is centrally located and easy to reach on foot, tucked away in one of those charming little alleyways typical of Alicante. Prices are absolutely fair, especially considering the high quality of the food and drinks. There are a few indoor and outdoor seats, so it’s worth going at a quieter time if you want to sit and relax. The staff is very friendly and speaks both Spanish and English, which makes the experience even more comfortable. Highly recommended for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a cozy, quality spot to take a break.

Google
Nice place good food 😊 probably not the best cinnamon roll and fruits bowl, but still good enough. It’s probably better salty food there, like the toast with salmon and eggs we took. Very good cappuccino 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 we went there for breakfast in a Friday morning and it was a chill moment even though we were sit outside on a table in the middle of the street 😊

Fantastic breakfast! For €13.50 you get fresh orange juice, a coffee of your choice, muesli with yoghurt and fruit, plus eggs benedict with smoked salmon. Tremendous value and everything was really tasty. Staff were friendly and efficient — a great spot all round.

Yelp
Great place for coffee lovers. Multiple locations in Alicante. You can choose the coffee region where your beans for your come from for your coffee like Columbia, Brazil, Honduras... roasted beans available too. Definitely one of the best americanos I had. Tostados were good too. Tip: go early as it can be quite busy.

Yelp
I wandered into this spot as I was making my way up to Santa Barbara Castle. It's a really cool vibe downstairs with a bunch of Chemex flasks as lights! It was full downstairs so I sat upstairs, which was super funky and cool as well. I had a few questions before deciding which the server spent time answering, and was very friendly. I ordered The Ferrero(contained coffee) which hit the spot as I wanted something sweet and creamy. It had a ton of nutella and crumbled cookie bits at the bottom of my drink and topped with cream made with a touch of Baileys. It was such a decadent drink and I loved every sip of it!

Yelp
Great service. English speaking. Try the cold drip coffee. It is excellent and reasonably priced.

You have to try this place. It is an amazing place. You see interesting people and artwork everywhere. Don't forget to check upstairs. Coffee and pastries were great. Very comfortable atmosphere

Yelp
It's reaaallly difficult to find good coffee in Spain, but here you have it- and in almost any brew style you want it! I came here with a group of friends for Sunday brunch, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the coffee and the food. If you come before 2 p.m., you can order from their breakfast menu, and I opted for the bacon eggs Benedict. While I am not usually a fan of eggs Benedict due to the traditional sauce, which I do not like, I was a fan of these as not only were they served without the sauce, but also the eggs were perfectly prepared, and the bacon was a good Spanish bacon instead of a highly commercialized one. The menu included a cup of coffee and a cup of delicious freshly-squeezed orange juice, as well as a small glass of their homemade yogurt topped with granola and fresh fruit, which was unbelievably good. For each couple we ordered a premium menu, which also included a large piece of homemade cake. We opted for the carrot, which hit the spot. Considering the quality of everything, the price point was a great deal at €13 or so a pop. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Had the most perfect coffee and an amazing experience! Beautifully decorated, very special and artistic. Calm atmosphere, I'll remember this place for my next visit in Alicante! :)

Yelp
Amazing cappuccino. I love coffee and they make coffee with love. Delicious breakfast and beautiful ambiance. Fast service.

Yelp
Great food, fantastic atmosphere! Coffee is a little pricier than a lot of the places I've been too, but otherwise prices were reasonable. There are also usb chargers throughout.

Yelp
Excellent atmosphere, service, AND the best vanilla chai ever! Very quaint yet functional. Love the upper level. We are only in town for a week but will be back before our vacation ends.

Yelp
Incredible specialty drinks that were both delicious and creative, great presentation and very comfortable atmosphere. It's tough to know what the etiquette is in foreign countries. Here they want you to come in and sit down and wait to be served. Ha. We got the Roche Coffee, a Latte, an espresso and the Nutella Coffee. All great choices. You'll like this place a lot.

Yelp
Exceptional coffee in beautiful building. Unfortunately poor service and unfriendly staff, unusual for Alicante where everyone is friendly and helpful.

Yelp
This place serves some of the best coffee I've ever had. The beans are freshly roasted on the premises every day.

Yelp
Perfect afternoon pick-me-up! Just off a hidden alley in the old town, my teenager daughter and I loved this quirky spot. With a mix of sightseers and locals, we did not find it overly touristy. I went in for the black tea, which I can't seem to find in Spain, but ended up choosing a rich foamy chai latte. My daughter loved the peanuts mixed into her hot chocolate, which was thick and not too sweet. The freshest crunchy toast and butter/marmalade were an excellent complement. A great find!

Yelp
Great place to work for an afternoon. Really touristy spot, but the food is great. Super nice staff. They did loose leaf black tea which is RARE in Spain.. and I loved the interior decor.

Yelp
Madness Is an amazing place for coffee. The owner is clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about coffee from the origin of the bean, to the roasting, to brewing. While on vacation in Alicante I had my coffee at Madness each morning. The staff is very friendly and the food is prepared with amazing care for each order. Nothing appears to be mass prepared, so everything is fresh and made when ordered. The cafe atmosphere and decor are inviting and an amazing blend of rustic Spanish decor and coffee chic. You won't be disappointed with your coffee at Madness.
