Very good lunch and fair prices. The terrace seating on the 9th floor was pleasant and the air was fresh, even with a few people smoking nearby. I had meatballs with gravy and rice pudding, and was very pleased with both. My server Mehmet was very friendly with a smile that lit up the room! Thank you for the nice meal.

December 2025: Visiting Turkey. This one is close to Rixos Pera hotel. They have the whole building. Looked great so we went inside to try some baklava and coffee. That's when it went all down hill. The seating space ok the ground floor is very dull and cheap pastry shop like. It was 12AM, so we ordered Pistachio baklava, turkish coffee and tea. Baklava was hugely disappointing. Tasted so artificial and full of sugar syrup. Turkish coffee horrible (I know it's usually a bit bitter but this one was horrible). Tea was okish. The shop itself is huge but lacks food quality. Would not recommend.

Absolutely amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. Every bite was delicious. I would definitely order this again and highly recommend it.

Decent overall, I'd go there again Prices are fair for a place in istiklal Portions were enough If you're thinking authentic turkish cusine ....lunch, breakfast or even baklava, this is not the right place for it

I would rate -10. One day we took 3 pieces of baklava and today we wanted to buy 4-5 more. My wife chose two and while I was choosing the person started yelling at us that they sell by kilo and he's giving us small prices just as kindness. We bought the initial two that my wife chose and went to small local store nearby to buy the rest. We'll NEVER ever AGAIN gonna enter Mado store!!! I would encourage you to visit only small local stores. Good sales person needs to know that each sale contributes. Advise to owners: if you want only big orders please write it down and if you want explain calmly not screaming and arguing.

Garson eyup gave us great customer service, the baklava was amazing .. Will definitely come back when In Istanbul again

Mehmet served us well. Zeynep and co. served us well too. The pistachio milkshake is highly recommended. Their ice cream flavours are all well-loved.
