I can't say enough good things about our experience with Madrid Day Tours! They made our visit to Spain easy breezy and so much more. Our driver, Martin, was a highlight. He picked up up at the airport and took us on 4 tours. We were so happy to have him with us almost the entire time! He was very accommodating and it was special that he got to know us and our preferences. Of course, he also shared a great deal of history and information about Madrid and Spain in general. The guides we had in Toledo, Avila & Segovia as well as El Escorial and Valley of the Fallen also were very good. They were extremely knowledgeable and were understanding of our physical limitations as older women (we are slow walkers!). Fernando was very good and Juan Ignacio in Toldeo was even better! It was wonderful how they made a long and complicated history easy to understand. They enhanced our visit tremendously. I must also point out that I had communicated withem on several occasions prior to our trip and they were very responsive and accommodating. I recommend them enthusiatically and without reservation. They are AMAZING!

Perfect for small private group tours, with pickup and dropoff at your hotel in a nice air conditioned van. The licensed tour driver was very informative and made dropoffs and pickups so easy, especially since they are licensed to drive inside the old towns they visit like Segovia and Avila. He also shared a lot of great information and history about the places we were visiting and driving through. Highly recommended if you can spend a little more and want something much better than the big bus tours. Excellent customer service as well.

We had the most amazing day! The tour was truly magical. Our driver was informative, timely and professional. The car was super comfortable, clean and air conditioned providing a welcomed relief from the warm summer heat. What we loved about the tour: 1) We were able to visit both Avila and Segovia in one very full day and felt like we were able to see the most important sites and still have sufficient time to wander around on our own to shop and eat. Highlights included the Roman aqueducts, St. Teresa’s Cathedral, the magnificent castle, stopping at panaramac views, shopping and so much more. 2)The tour driver provided essential information and history giving you the historical context of what we were seeing. 3) the driver was wonderful about meeting us in convenient locations helping to reduce some of the walking which in the mid day heat was very helpful. We loved having opportunities to explore on our own. 4) Customer service was truly exceptional. Dory was very responsive to my emails and kept in contact throughout the booking process answering questions and providing opportunities for specific requests. This is vastly different from what I’ve experienced at large group tours which are not specifically tailored to customer needs. While the tour was costly, I would still highly recommend it to others. Many people online will say it’s easy to take trains and this can be done “on your own” but I believe you would miss a lot of the historical significance and spend too much time, money and energy just trying to navigate public transportation (especially in the intense heat). This is one tour worth splurging on! thank you for a truly wonderful and amazing experience.

We spent three days with Martin. We did a tour of Madrid visiting the Royal Palace, Bernabeu, and countless other sites. We also went to Avila/Segovia and Toledo. Each stop was great. The van was very comfortable. Martin provided excellent historical information as well food recommendations. He was also very flexible with our sites based on what we had already seen. Booking was extremely easy with Dory. We highly recommend Madrid Day Tours.

Madrid Day Tours did a great job with organizing a Madrid Highlights private tour for my family. They were organized, responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We definitely recommend them if you are looking for a tour company in Madrid!

A family of 4 & new to Madrid, We feel very fortunate to have made the right choice to have had a homely down-to-earth person like Andy have us describe Madrid as it is and also made it very interesting by making the history known to us. Overall a warm person himself, we were much comfortable with him & his enormous knowledge of the areas where we were shown around. We were picked up straight from the Airport with our luggage tucked in the van secured while we set out exploring. We would not hesitate & highly recommend Madrid Day tours to anyone as their secure personal hospitality remains treasured!

Great trip to Avila and Segovia The transport and tour guide was very punctual and comfortable. We were dropped off in one location and then picked up. No excessive working up hills. Very convenient to have a minibus in small old towns. Would recommend this trip to see Aquaducts and Avila.

Our family had a wonderful time in Madrid and enjoyed the tours in Toledo, Segovia, and Avila. We are lucky to have Martin as our tour guide. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and excellent driver. His English was excellent. Dory and her team were very professional and easy to deal with. She was very efficient in responding to my emails with all the information I need.
