"Walk Along Madrid's Newly Redeveloped Riverfront Over the last several years, Madrid 's river redevelopment has really come together. What used to be sludgy is now sparkling, with walkways and bridges intertwined along the river, with kids playing, people jogging and chatting. A great place to get away from the crowds, even in the winter. Tourists don't really know about it, which makes it even better. Go at sunset so you can watch the lights of the city come on and the moon rise. Start on the south side, by the new Matedero arts center and move your way up north to the Royal Palace. Delightful way to spend an early evening. By Dan Fogarty"
Nice public space along the bank of the river, good bicycle and walking trails.

An overall simple park which is spread out in a longer manner which while walking you’ll be able to see the Manzanares river, the Segovia bridge, and other stuff. It’s a very popular park where runners and dog owners come to walk at practically anytime of the day. Overall also a well maintained, groomed, and clean park and great for morning and late afternoon walks.

Love this park! Clean and safe. Great paths right asking the river. Loyes of places for children to play. Several bars for a sit down, drink, and bite to eat.

Nice for an evening stroll, also enjoyed during the day by children with few splash pads. Well looked after place with many benches and fountains to enjoy greenery in the city. May not be in the Center of the tourist attractions but a nice place to discover and enjoy. Keep an eye on supermarkets near by where you can purchase picnic foods for cheaper and then enjoy at the park! Way to go Madrid for keeping the parks well looked after!

This is an excellent park I have come across to! Good for joggers, walkers, runners and bikers. It's a dog-friendly environment too. There is a cafe, a playground and historical and interesting bridges along the river. This park is well-maintained.

Probably best to go in the summer when there is more to see. It was a LONG walk from one end to the other with small stops along with way with some parks and bridges. A nice afternoon if you got several days in Madrid and want to venture out to another park area besides Retiro Park.

VERY REMOVED, BUT GOOD ENVIRONMENT
It is far from the city center, but it is a perfect place to enjoy nature and practice any sport you want. Large families or small groups can go. Of course, take something to eat and drink in your suitcase because there is nothing nearby. You have to walk quite a bit to find a decent spot.

So beautiful and clean! Gives such a splendid view of the riverside city and provides great places to lounge and to exercise! I highly reccommend for those wanting a tranquil, residential Madrid-park experience!!!
