Mae Fah Luang Art and Cultural Park (Rai Mae Fah Luang)

Beautiful and calming place. Tranquil gardens and lake. The main building is a fantastic structure that houses Lanna artefacts, only issue is its not easy to understand what the objects are as there is no English description. There is a website you can link to that details the history of the objects, but it's not practical to put into translate every piece. Loved the place, and give it 5 stars, but hopefully they will consider changing this so foreigners can learn more about Lanna culture - which I believe is the objective. We were the only people there on a Saturday afternoon. Clearly an under appreciated place.

A wonderful place, with splendid landscapes, flowers, a lake with water lilies, statues, history, wood carvings, art paintings… highly recommended, a true gem. For very hot days, the best choice

We truly enjoyed this beautiful natural land—a wonderfully preserved park that feels both inspiring and peaceful. The exhibitions on Thai art and culture are thoughtfully curated and clearly explained, helping us understand the rich diversity of cultures across Thailand. I especially loved the exhibition on simplicity—its message felt deeply true and meaningful. The garden itself is absolutely marvelous, filled with a great variety of trees and flowers. You can easily spend a few hours here, slowly soaking in its charm, tranquility, and sense of harmony. Without a doubt, it is one of the most beautiful and memorable places to visit in Chiang Rai.

A perfect park to admire the nature and learn about art and history of the city. There are two halls, one museum, and one gift shop. The park in the middle is decorated with sculptures.

Beautiful Art & Cultural Park which is easy to go . So impressed with a professional guide who explained not only historical part of Buddha images in the north but she shared very interesting insights about Northern traditions. Overall the park is well maintained but there are more promoting of this park more in Tourism. Saw a few tourists there but hardly seen any Thais visited this beautiful park with a beautiful story behind how it was founded . Shall go back there again if i visit Chiengrai.

Park like grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of area to wander about for several hours. Lots of shade to keep cool. The main building is a work of art itself but there is a museum and art gallery also. Toilets clean, staff very helpful and had knowledge of the history behind the pieces we were looking at. There is a gift shop which also sells cold drinks. Plenty of parking on-site. The only trouble we had was finding the correct entrance. We drove to 2 locked gates and eventually found our way in. Well worth a visit.

There are several structures that home hundreds of Lanna relics that are rarely seen at any other places in the world. The relics are showcased in a massive wooden building that replicates how large Lanna Palaces were built hundreds of years ago. In the center is a Buddha statue that is over 300 hundred years old. It was incredible to see the architecture and incredible craftsmanship of all 9 Northern Thailand kingdoms during ancient times. The grounds have beautiful gardens and pathways that are filled with diverse local plants and fauna.
