"Cocktails, cocktails and more cocktails Yes, Mag is a great place for a morning, Saturday brunch, and light lunch, but it is also an excellent spot for those who love a great cocktail. Head to Navigli in the late afternoon to watch Flavio, Marco, and Francesco mix creative concoctions based on old-school recipes and lots of innovation. Drinks to try: the Aviation (gin, lemon juice, maraschino liqueur, crème di violette), One Piece (a modified Old Fashioned), and really, anything they offer."

Here, Stanley and Tess enjoy a spritz, a now worldwide popular cocktail that started as quintessential Milanese drink. Campari, its key ingredient, is made in Milan.

Google
Perfect place for a really excellent cocktail and some light bites. Try the Farmer’s Punch if they still have it for a refreshing option. The care they put into every cocktail is very evident. Friendly service as well. We sat inside as the outside was full but it eventually filled up inside too.

MaG, down in the Navigli, is a glorious, chaotic carnival of cocktails. It's the sort of place where the drinks menu reads like a fever dream, and the crowd, a vibrant, eclectic mix of wide-eyed tourists, buzzes with a kind of giddy excitement. The Negroni Del Marinaio, their own salty, sea-faring take on the classic, is a bold, eccentric thing, a drink that dares you to take it seriously, even as you can't help but grin. The snacks, a parade of tiny, artfully arranged morsels, are almost secondary to the spectacle. Yes, it's a touch touristic, a bit of a scene, but the sheer, unadulterated joy of the place, and those gloriously bonkers cocktails, make it absolutely worth braving the crowds. It's a place where you go to be entertained, and to sip on drinks that are as much performance art as they are libations.

I absolutely loved this little café! The prices are incredible. I paid only €6 for two latte macchiatos, a croissant, and two mini biscuits. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the croissant truly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The service is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The café is located right by a canal, which gives it such a calm and charming atmosphere. It does get a bit busy around midday, but I’ve always managed to find a table without a problem. I’m genuinely very impressed and would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. A perfect spot for a relaxed coffee break!

Google
This is the team behind the ultra exclusive Speakeasy 1930. I had the Negroni Del Mariano and my colleague had something Bespoke with Gin/Mezcal. Both were incredibly good. I asked Elisa who is absolutely great why this was named MAG - the reason being the previous owner of the shop which was a popular cafe was surrounded by unlimited magazines. They have kept the vibe intact and it is such a great homage to the previous owner this current bar is incredibly stocked with vintage stuff all over and gives an old school vibe

Google
I stopped by for a very quick cocktail in-between group activities, and had a delightful time! Sitting at the bar was great, I very much enjoyed the free water & snacks, and most of all the USB-A and USB-C charging ports. And the cocktail was fantastic also! I had the Giappone, which was a refreshingly herbal, layered sipper with an air of the sea to it. Very Mediterranean.

Google
Mag Cafe in Navigli, Milan, is a hidden gem if you're looking for a quiet and relaxed spot to enjoy a cocktail or a drink. It’s cozy, welcoming, and full of charm — a perfect contrast to the louder, more chaotic bars nearby. While the rest of Navigli can be a bit wild, Mac Café offers a peaceful atmosphere where you can truly unwind. Totally worth a visit if you're in the area.

Google
Meg bar Right at the top of the experience – literally and figuratively – is the Mega Bar. Once again, fantastic service that made us feel instantly welcome. The team here clearly loves what they do, and it shows in every detail. If you’re anywhere near Milan, this place is a must. 100% recommended.

Google
It was a nice café, located in the busy and well-known Navigli area. But the coffee was pretty average and a bit below expectations. The service was okay.

Yelp
Very cozy and chill vibe. Awesome drinks and great spot on the river for aperitivo. You could tell it was very popular, just like the other bar experiences within the family

Yelp
Nice place we stoped in for an expresso martini. Service was great. The drinks came with a bowl of olives and some snacks

Yelp
Intro: After having dinner in the Navigli district, we were looking for some drinks. Mag Cafe was in the area, we're talking a two-minute walk, so our decision was made. We walked over and we were seated outside on the patio overlooking the canal. Service (4/5): Service in Europe can be a bit lackluster. This isn't the case here. Service was friendly and efficient for the most part. We were given the option of sitting outside or inside. Our waiter was friendly. It took him a while to give us our check when we were closing out but that was the only blip in the experience. Ambiance (4/5): Everything we were looking for. The Navigli district is a great area. It's lively. It's picturesque (with the canal in the background). Really the only annoying part of the district is that there are people who will stop by your table trying to sell you roses and various other things. The interior, while we didn't sit inside, was nice and had a solid playlist going. Food (N/A): We had dinner previously so cocktails only. With that being said, they brought us some snacks with our cocktail (in typical Italian fashion) which is always a nice touch. Drinks (5/5): Mag Cafe has a long and creative list of craft cocktails. The cocktails are inspired by different historical events so you get a nice overview on the menu of the event along with the cocktail. After perusing the menu, I went with a tiki-style cocktail. I love tiki-style drinks so it was a no-brainer for me. The cocktail was exactly what I wanted. Flavorful with an interesting fusion of flavors. Overall: Mag Cafe is up there with the top cocktail bars I've visited over the course of my life (and trust me, I've been to a lot of them). If you need further motivation, the bar appeared on Stanley Tucci's TV show. It was so cool to experience it firsthand after seeing it on the show!

Yelp
Hands down one of the best cocktail bars in Milan. Worth the trip from central square to the south. The staff is fluent in English and very accommodating. On the other hand they do take reservation on the phone. Which I think is a bit weird for a bar. Most patrons who came first are told the tables are not available because of reservations. The drinks are tasty and we'll crafted. The menu booklet is very thoughtful.

Yelp
A great creative cocktail spot along the Navigli Canal in Milan! Since it's included in many generic "must visit" lists and was featured on the Stanley Tucci show, I thought it might be touristy and overrated - I was wrong! Like everywhere else in Italy, they serve some complimentary snacks as soon as you sit down. The cocktail menus are categorized so it's easy to find your preferred kind of cocktail. Seating inside is intimate and dark. Most seating is a backless stool or small chair. There is also seating outside along the canal.

Yelp
A quirky eclectic and cool cafe in the Navigli District in Milan. It looks like an old pharmacy and offers up a nice menu of cocktails and wines. I was with a party of seven and we had a nice time. The kitchen was closed but they offered us small portions of popcorn, olives and nuts to snack on. I had a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned. The Manhattan was made differently than what I'm accustomed to however, it was delicious! The Old Fashioned was nice too. Our waitress, who was Ukrainian, was nice and made suggestions with what was best to order. I definitely bookmarked this place for a future visit.

Yelp
While studying in Milan in October, stumbled across Mag Cafe at night. The cafe part of the place retired with the sun and the bar was in full force. What intrigued me with the location was the eclectic menu with odd flavors and ingredients. Overall this is a fun late night spot for some hit or miss drinks. The servers are attentive (which is great in computing other establishments on the river front) but the drinks are a bit mid. While the breakfast tai I had was tasty, I think curiosity killed the cat as the more drinks I tried, the less impressed I was with the selection. If you want some oddities, this is your place. If you want consistently good cocktails, you may want to try elsewhere.

Yelp
We experienced their kiosk in Mercato Centrale. The drinks are amazing and the service very good and with a strong attention to offering a local personal touch. The ambiance was comfortable and perfect on a Saturday Milanese afternoon.

Yelp
Italian is a wine country. That can make finding craft cocktails difficult. However, Mag Café is a craft cocktail gem! Not only do they make tasty, well balanced cocktails, they distill some of their own liquors! The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely a must go to in Milan if you enjoy craft cocktails
google avatar

Solange T.

Yelp
One of the coolest places we visited while in Italy. I loved how well-thought out the cocktails were. The menu was straight out of a comic book....obsessed! A must-try while in Milan!

Dan V.

Yelp
The "mag"a and "mag"o served some amazing drinks. This is a cannot miss cocktail bar. Can't wait to visit when I return to Milan.

Yelp
Strolled in here on our last day in Milan and overall we were pretty happy with our random spot choice. We sat outside and enjoyed some sun and cocktails. The drinks were delicious and the snacks matched perfectly. The service was a little spotty but it was also pretty busy. This part of Milan is pretty great so make sure you stop by!
google avatar

Yelp
Innovative, reasonably priced cocktails. Great location overlooking the canal. Surprisingly attentive service compared with my other experiences in Milan.

Yelp
This is one of the best, if not the best, sidewalk cafes in Navigli. We enjoyed wonderful double espressos with coffee from Barbera 1870, an Italian brand not seen too often. Add some croissants and life is good! Like any proper Italian cafe, service is relaxed and unhurried. So, if you are expecting popping in and then out, you might be in the wrong country. Best of all, our apartment is only steps away! Life in Milano.

Yelp
We came here for cocktails after dinner. The decor is great and the cocktails were delicious. My only complaint was they sat us inside, told us where to sit and they sat us on a ottoman type thing that had no back and it was really really hot once the place filled up. We left only because we were uncomfortable in our seats and hot. The service was pretty quick at first but once it got busy we just went to the bar to order our drinks. I loved the astrology theme to the cocktail list. It was different and fun. I'd recommend this place for one or two drinks. The drinks are also around 10 euro each.

Yelp
This hip little coffee shop / cocktail bar was one of our highlights in Milano. We went for apertivo, but ended up staying for hours. The cocktails were well-balanced, interesting, and showed some real bartending skills. Each cocktail came with a fun little serving surprise, whether it was a garnish or a temporary tattoo or whatever. The menus were really clever and interesting too - I don't want to ruin the surprise. Finally, the service was great and the vibe in general was fun. BEER SELECTION: 5/10 BOOZE SELECTION: 8/10 COCKTAILS: 8/10 DAIQUIRI: 7/10 (ditto...) FERNET: Of course.

Yelp
Landed in Milan and went to our Air BnB mid-afternoon. After unpacking, I immediately set out to explore the Navigli area. Whatever yelp/google/tripadvisor told me, I chose to go to Mag Cafe, right by the canal. There were tables outdoors and I got seated in this two seater outside the window. I was given a book about Dante and lo and behold, the menu is hidden inside. I ordered a latte and toast with ham & cheese. My original choice was either the croissant or donut but both were out by mid-afternoon. My latte was delicious and well needed since I woke up super early that morning. I was surprised by the toast - thin slice of ham with very tasty cheese. It is served on a platter with potato chips. Would have loved to try their cocktails but unfortunately, no time!

Yelp
A superb cocktail establishment - the menu was themed to astrological signs which was fun - I ordered cross signs and had one of the finest mezcal negronis I've tried - they put coffee in it which led to beautiful balance. (They give you a recipe card and i can't wait to try it at home.). My friend gave them a tiki challenge which they met with great technical skill. The aperitivo plate of lovely prosciutto, Grissini, and cheese seemed small but they replaced it at least four times and we had to ask them to stop so that we could have our dinner later.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Really yummy apertivos! Love the atmosphere here too! Gets crowded especially for a table outside. Drinks are anywhere from 9€ up, but they give you compliment breadsticks and prosciutto!
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
Great drinks..great service. A combination of liquors from all over the world. English is good. Staff is awesome. Should stop by. Then.. We watched the bartender blow his nose, then go behind the bar and make a drink. Without washing his hands. He then tasted it with the stir spoon. He used the same spoon to make another drink without washing it. A slip or the norm??
google avatar

Ella B.

Yelp
Cute little bar, we went for apertivo and enjoyed the ambiance. Quick service, drinks are about 8-10€ and you are served a plate of frommage and cured meats. Unique drink recipes and hip atmosphere, would definitely head back.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this little new, at least for me, bar for Aperitivo along the now remodeled navigli, with a speakeasy atmosphere. Drink Menus are funky and cocktails smashing. Every little detail is deeply thought through. I loved the chairs with pictures of old movies plastered on them and the comfy couches. The lighting makes the place very cozy and atmospheric. A great new found for aperitivo. Be there soon!

Marija M.

Yelp
This is probably my favorite bar in Italy! Great cocktails (they change the list twice a year but you can ask them to advise based on personal taste), super nice stuff, amazing music and atmosphere! If you come between 6pm and 9pm you will get a plate with carefully chosen italian snacks (Sardinian bread, some veggies, salami and cheese). In case you're coming with the bigger crew make sure you reserve the table! Enjoy this Milan's gem
google avatar

Yelp
I was on vacation with my family from Texas and needed some alone time. One morning I perused the streets nearby and came across this cafè. The chocolate (it tastes like Nutella) croissant was delicious. And they understood me when I said no to tiny espresso and and asked if I wanted an Americano. Sì! They spoke limited English, but were extremely friendly. Great service! I loved the atmosphere, super cozy and Disney related decorations on the walls. Music was some sort of instrumental, reminding me of a 1920's speakeasy. All around I was pleased and enjoyed my brief amount of alone time!

Yelp
Mag Cafe was our second stop on our aperitivo bar crawl in Navigli. I had read about this place before and was excited to try it. It did not disappoint! In fact I would go as far as saying this was my favourite stop of the night. The cocktail menus are hidden in between the pages of old books and the choices of drinks are impressive. The bar is dark and the shelves are cluttered with an array of spirits creating a cosy atmosphere. The bar men make exquisite cocktails mixing them in beakers and conical flasks! Quite the art form. We were given a delightful little plate with an assortment of hams, cheeses and grissini. Mag Cafe is rumoured to run a speakeasy in Milan which you can receive an invite to from the barmen! If you find yourself in Milan definitely check this place out.

Yelp
Mag stirs (or shakes--your call) some awesome cocktails. Located on the über-hip Naviglio Grande, Mag is daily and nightly filled with Milan's hipster intelligentsia. Its bartenders playfully and efficiently leverage on the city's seasonality for their daily/weekly cocktail specials, and make sure that you get your drink just right. The servers are very friendly (and most speak English), something that is NOT common in Milan but greatly appreciated by ex-pats, tourists, and Italians alike. Get ready for some tatted-up, dressed down, elegantly disheveled fun at Mag! There's definitely a 'scene' to speak of, including a terrace overflowing with people, and an interior packed with dimly-lit groups of friends.
google avatar

Yelp
The craft bartenders displayed mixology skill and imagination to please everyone At the bar with modern twist on old standards and others completely out of the world
google avatar

Karsha G.

Yelp
Had coffee and a croissant in this adorable little cafe/bar. The waiters were very friendly and I loved the unique and quirky decor of the place! The armchairs are also super comfy, there's free wifi and the coffee is great!
google avatar

Gabriele P.

Yelp
Those cocktails! Just.. wow! Best cocktails in Milan, to my experience, and what a vibe! Going during the weekends means you'll either wait for a table or have your drinks at the bar, an experience totally recommended if you like myself are fascinated by the art of bartending. During the week is more quiet and you can easily sit both inside or outside. Seriously, if you've never been here, you're missing out!
google avatar

Alexes H.

Yelp
Great little cocktail bar. Cool location, great staff, excellent drinks. Staff is very friendly. Nice place to stop
google avatar

Elena S.

Yelp
It's probably the most Hipster place I have ever had a dring at ;) but service, and coctails rock ! Staff is super nice, cool, and helpful. Drinks are very tasty, and interior is perfectly done. Navigli has bunch of amazing cafes and bars to visit, but I would just keep on going here again, again, again :) I love MAG !
google avatar

Ruoyi X.

Yelp
I spent 8 euro on Mag word and got unlimited snacks including meat, cheese, biscuits and vegetables. The service was good, waiters and bartenders are nice. Some people complained about the noise which I don't mad at all. The volume of music is perfect.
google avatar

Alik W.

Yelp
Great cocktail menu, and at happy hour, a good value at 8 Euros. The snack is just salumi and cheese, but good. The drinks are delightful. Highly recommend one of their standards, the Essence of Orange. They've recognized am orange note in Petrus beer and created a great drink from it. Good people watching, good decor, overall an excellent choice for an evening out. Pretty child friendly, too.
google avatar

Ibnu D.

Yelp
Cool place but terrible customer service. The waiter never came to give us the menu or ask what we wanted. We had to go on inside and ask for the menu. Once we had the menu, we had to go inside to put an order with the waiter. The coffee never came, after 15 - 20 mins, we had to remind the waiter about our order. Definitely not recommended.
google avatar

Peter R.

Yelp
Love this place! Great, relaxed feel and generally plenty of seats outside on the canal or just inside the door during the mornings / early afternoons. Great, inexpensive place for a coffee and croissant / biscuit. Staff is super friendly and love that this place welcomes dogs, is kid friendly and happy to help out with my broken Italian. Ciao!

Stefan M.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Why? Because at 1am the bar is packed with italians and the drinks are at the same caliper as the best in San Francisco. If you are remotely familiar with Amaro you definitely need to try their house Amaro. Absolutely excellent. I wish I could bring back several bottles but alas I did carry on luggage. This is one of the few spots ill go out of my way to come back to on my next trip

Victor L.

Yelp
A awesome world bar, which has class and style. The bartenders and Servers are professional and offer great advise on drinks. Marco is a great human being. Marco if you read this I can not read your e-mail on the MAG card, but if you read this I hope you know we thank you for bringing us great drinks. The Italian 75 custom drink was incredible. -Victor

Yelp
Amazing drinks, true mixologists. Adorable interior with great lounge or jazz music playing in the background. A tad on the small side, but makes for a cozy experience if you can find a place to sit.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Really bad service unfortunately. We heard great things! The staff was not pleasant or attentive. We have had such great experiences at other places.
google avatar

Chad M.

Yelp
Really cute place. Their cold drinks are great. I got the limonata with fresh lemon that was perfect for a hot day.
google avatar

Yelp
Possibly the best cocktail bar in Milan. Vibrant and nice. Fantastic drink. Speakeasy style.
google avatar

Virginia Y.

Yelp
Came here for cocktails, I really like this place in the day and night. Service was a bit slow when it's packed though. I had the st. Barth which was really strong, my friend said it tasted like a sour whiskey. Decent prices, I love the atmosphere here.
google avatar

Christian R.

Yelp
Fantastic place they serve you a plate of meats cheese and vegetables with s purchase of a drink ... The drink list is fantastic and they carry a very mixologist style ingredients at the bar. Will define try head back

Yelp
A great cocktail that really packed a punch, and fantastic service!

Yelp
This little cocktail bar in the Navigli neighborhood - which is one of my favorites. The interior of the bar is cozy with lots of eclectic flair. It's nice place to come before or after dinner to enjoy a fancy cocktail or two.

Yelp
