Magari Estates Hotel (Colognola ai Colli, Veneto) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Rows of vines extend as far as the eye can see from Magari Estates Hotel, a sophisticated countryside escape near Verona. While wine-growing traditions have deep roots in the Veneto, the thick stone walls of this boutique hotel, originally a hunting lodge built in the 16th century, are even older than the surrounding vineyards. Rooms are quiet and elegant with wood-beamed or exposed brick ceilings, king-sized beds, antique furniture, and marble bathrooms. Some have freestanding tubs or terraces with views. A glance through the windows is all the motivation one needs to step outside for the quick stroll to Fasoli Gino Winery. For the less energetic, there’s also the ancient cellar onsite, an atmospheric venue for tasting the organic wines produced next door, as well as a great restaurant, spa, and seasonal outdoor pool." - Tablet Hotels

Twenty-four hours here felt like a week long retreat. I can only imagine what a week might feel like… Spacious and inviting rooms and suites, constructed to please the eye and comfort the soul, the attention to detail is remarkable! The lovely spa area opens up the the outdoors, only complaint would be to check the water temperature as both hot and cold were initially scalding and difficult to adjust.||The property is immaculate, wishing we had more time for long walks and lingering beside the pool. Breakfast is delightful, equally for the food and service! Highly noted as finding an enthusiastic and efficient breakfast staff is not a simple task! Dinner was creative and delicious, a pleasure to have km zero options that are pleasantly satisfying rather than sparse or exaggerated. Fasoli Gino wines are top of the line!

What a stunning location, beautiful rooms, excellent wellness, friendly and professional staff and exceptional food. I felt honoured to be a guest; and this was for my work! I will be returning with my husband later in the year to re-enjoy the ambiance, and I’m also considering booking this location to organise a yoga retreat! I love my job for introducing me to this diamond of a hotel. 🥰

I stayed here with my 1.5 year old, husband, and parents for 4 nights for a friend's wedding in July 2025. We wholeheartedly recommend this resort for families looking for a peaceful getaway in Italy with exceptional service! We travel often and I can confidently say that the hotel staff are the most kind, attentive, and friendly we have ever encountered! They went above and beyond for our family multiple times, helping us find places to go for the day, accommodating us for earlier meals when our toddler wasn't going to last until 7:30, and helping us get a new room when we had issues with the air conditioning when we first arrived. The food here is AMAZING, and the chef was so wonderful with accommodating special dishes for our toddler who was teething and needed softer foods. The staff are true professionals, always working with a smile and clearly take such pride in their jobs. Our family did rent a car for this trip which I'm glad we did, since the hotel is not really walking distance from anything. This was very helpful when it was extremely hot during the heat wave and we wanted to go to a shopping mall to pass time in air conditioning. So, if you are coming during the summer and there is a chance of a heat wave, definitely get a car so that you have the freedom to get out and about.

First, the place is beautiful. Very lovely! Now, the address on Booking is wrong. The room doesn’t have TV, mini fridge or ice bucket. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8am. No coffee in the rooms. No wash clothes. So, for the amount and what you get on the high end, very disappointing. We had to leave early and we couldn’t get in touch with Booking, therefore the hotel still charged us for the Booking commission.

My family stayed at Magari for 5 nights and we loved it! Thank you to the staff; Nicolo and Elisa. We look forward to a future visit next year!

We spent five nights in the hotel with a group of friends. The hotel area is a wonderful complex in the middle of vineyards. We weren't traveling by car, but Verona's local transport runs nearby and the taxis found the destination well. The level of service, the excellent breakfast and the atmosphere that you have to experience make the hotel a special experience. We visited Soave, Verona and Venice during our trip. One day we rented electric bikes from the hotel and toured the nearby villages. Visiting wine and olive oil farms is easy.

If you have unruly children and want to get away on a beautiful property in the middle of a winery, this is the place for you. We counted no fewer than 10 children in the pool, including ones prone to cycles of screaming and crying. The joy continued into our dinner, where little ones dominated the dining area like a scene from Lord of the Flies. Luckily, some of them were kept entertained by enjoying videos on their parents’ phones at full volume. We also enjoyed their spirited squealing while trying to relax in our room after dinner. Although not exactly romantic, it did a nice job of reminding us why we don’t have children - and to read reviews more closely before booking a relaxing couples weekend next time.

Wow what a fantastic three night stay at the Magari Estates, just outside of Verona. The rooms were great as were the staff, which were so accommodating. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. The original property was built in 1608 as a farm stable and was renovated into a luxury hotel in 2019. The breakfast was devine as was our dining experience with the food from the chef Mateo. Who came out and introduced himself. A winery/vineyard is also attached to the hotel and well worth a wine tasting tour.
