My wife and I just held our wedding dinner at Magasinet Härön, and it had to be one of the best meals I've had in my life.
They started us off with a Maine lobster salad appetizer with pistachios, raisins, pine nuts, and präst cheese, and it was truly out of this world, way better any lobster salads I've had in Maine (and I lived there for four years!).
We were then treated to a main course of roasted halibut with basil sauce, and mashed potato. Typically, I find halibut to be a bit too tough, but the chefs managed to make it so flakey, and melt-in-your mouth good!
Finally they topped our meal off with a slice of chocolate mud cake that wasn't for feint of heart. This was serious cocoa, and it complimented the sweetness of the strawberries on top of it perfectly! A special shout out to Johannes, who paired all three courses with delectable drink choices. You could tell that Johannes takes his craft seriously, because every selection was simply perfect!
If you ever find yourself in Västra Götaland, do yourself a favor, and make the trip to Magasinet Härön, it's a world-class dining experience you will forever cherish!
