Nice rooms with their own colorscheme.|Good continentel breakfeast.|Very nice host with a lot of useable information. Very good location in the older part of town. The guests have access to outdoorspaces at the second floor. No longterm parking outside the entrance.

Very nice room, well located. The staff was great, very attentive and with good advice on local activities. Includes a nice breakfast. Highly recommended.

I entered the wrong room, because instruction in the email was not clear… at midnight the other guests arrive and they wanted to enter their room, where I was sleeping. So the owner decided to enter my room while I was asleep, he woke me up and started to furiously yale at me. I got so scared, I got a panic attack and couldn’t breathe or speak for a while. After that I explained why I chose this room and he was again screaming on me.. then he talked to the other guests and they decided to stay at the other room. The rest of the night I didn’t sleep, because I got so stressed. In the morning I decided to leave the hotel because I didn’t feel safe there anymore. Owner was surprised and he tried to keep me there, telling me I shouldn’t worry because everybody makes mistakes. He told me that he was tired and that he was also very scared when the other guests woke him up with a call… There was a mistake in the email, because it said that all the rooms are on the first floor and the one word, which said “groundfloor” was in Swedish, so I couldn’t understand it. That’s why I entered the wrong room… BUT.. Unfortunately, there is no explanation for me for such a behaviour. You just can’t enter the room when a person is sleeping there and you can’t scream on that person. Even if it’s your guest who chose the wrong room. And what if I would be sleeping there naked? It’s the worse accommodation experience I have ever had. I don’t reccomend this place to anyone.

Stayed for two nights. Booking was easy. No reception, but got a code for the door and we stayed in the yellow room. Very nice room, fairly big. Clean and cozy. ||Stefan was on site when we arrived. He let us park my motorsycle in the back garden. Safe and private parking for my bike. Stefan (the host) was an extremely nice person. He gold us about places to visit, gave us tips on where to eat etc. extremely helpful man. The breakfast was like eating at a friends house. Simple but sufficient and very cozy. Will be back.

Location is good. But the staff seems to be incapable of keeping track of the payments. I was asked to pay for a room that was already paid and they are making the whole process very complicated- it is time consuming to stay here.

Having stayed multiple times at Magles Smiley Inn, I feel very comfortable giving my warm recommendations!||||The owner is goodhearted and very service-minded. As some previous reviewers have stated, there is selldom any staff around upon arrival, but by talking to the owner before arriving (e-mial with info and contact details are sent out some time before arrival) you can get all the information you need and make the request that you wish. I have yet to encounter any kind of problem. ||||The building is old and cosy, with rooms that are nicely decorated, warm and in good condition. The beds are super nice and the location is one of the absolute best in Lund with the absolute city center only a couple of minutes away by foot, but situated on a very quiet street; the best of both worlds!

The location is great, just a couple of hundred metres from the cathedral and town centre. But as others say, make sure you read your e-mails before you arrive. I got locked out of my e-mail account a couple of days before and therefore missed the e-mails about breakfast times and how to pay. We were leaving early on a Saturday but only found on arrival that breakfast starts at 0900 hrs. You can book it earlier but you have to give 24 hrs notice. And as others also say, don't expect to see anyone around on your arrival. So in order to pay you have to hang around for a late breakfast - bear this in mind if you have to make an early start. The room was fine except that it has windows to the bedroom cut out of the shower wall. This is great if you like to see your other half sitting on the toilet or showering but a little unexpected. Come on Magles - do something about it! Parking is nearby if you book beforehand but only runs from 1800 to 0730 hrs, with heavy warnings not to park outside these times - except you can't park there and have breakfast as well. All that said, I'd stay there again as it better to be in town than some of the hotels on the outskirts that aren't within walking distance.

The host is very friendly and knowledgable about Lund. He has given us many useful tips on dining out, lunch places, where to drink wine, where to drink beer and the market. The breakfast is good and fresh and the bread is of high quality. Wide range of bread topp8ngs. Good filter coffee. Nespresso is available as well. Great bed.
