We had a wonderful stay!! Still puzzled why it is rated 3-star since it was easily a 5-star stay for us. It is on the pricer side but absolutely worth it. The room was spotless. We really appreciate the small touches, cute decor, thoughtful light fixtures, and quality of the towel heater. Everything was well thought out!
The breakfast was also really good.

Genuinely one of the most serene places I've been. It's quiet, the rooms are huge and open up to this gorgeous view. There's an included breakfast buffet and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

We stay for 2 nights. The room is comfortable and the view is great. The only problem is the heating temperature is not adjusted, it’s too warm. The breakfast is yammy😋
Good to stay if you visit Iceland for vacation.👍

Our unit had a view of one end of the lake and had a deck with cushions for the bench so we could enjoy the scenery. Room was aesthetically pleasing with a lovely bathroom and excellent shower. There is a fridge in the room as well as a coffee maker and a kettle for tea. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety and nicely presented. All staff were welcoming and courteous. A truly delightful stay.

Fantastic experience. It was well renovated, with tasteful decorations, thoughtfully equipped, and great views.
Bonus was the delicious breakfast (hot eggs, sausages, bacon!) and an assortment of the usual breads / meat / eggs etc. Lovely stay overall - thank you to the team.

A very interesting concept to have cabins rather than the traditional hotel style. The rooms were very spacious and well laid out. A novel concept, which obviously works with many guests being on the ring road, is not to take a deposit when you arrive, but to|Make you pay for dinner at the time. Makes for a swift process and get away. I will say though that the room was over hot and the curtains could do with being more black out. With only three hours of darkness the light seeped in.

We upgraded to our own cabin & were thrilled when we saw it. Just lovely inside & the view onto a small lake was wonderful.||That night we were treated a beautiful display of the Northern Lights. We stayed for 2 nights, as it is a good location for seeing a lot of the sights that are in the area.||The restaurant is very good. Staff was helpful. Very quiet location. Close to town.||Highly recommended.

Magma Hotel was my favorite place we stayed in Iceland. Not only is it a great location for those heading towards the glaciers, the rooms were pristine and set on the most beautiful landscape. My fiance and I had to leave super early in the morning to get to a tour and they went above and beyond to make sure we had something to eat in the morning. Could not recommend this place enough!
