Magma Hotel

Stayed in hotel as part of the tour.|It has a cabin-style rooms which make them very appealing and special. The room or cabin is very comfortable and its furnishing was cozy and adequate. There is a porch outside the cabin where we can relax. The cabin faces the lake surrounded by nature.|With hardly any buildings around it, it is perfect for catching the Northern Lights.|The only downside is that the reception and restaurant is in a separate building. We were there in November when it was very cold. We had to be fully dressed in layers just to go for our meals.|Nevertheless, an interesting and nice stay.

Roommhad good views and clean. Heating was more than adequate. Food was good too, but can be improved. Staff were helpful and friendly. My son forgot his passport and wallet in the room after we checked out, they kept it and they waited for us to comeback the next day.

Loved this hotel. Set out into a hill around a lake, this place boasts stand alone huts with grassy roofs. Lovely and peaceful can sit outside your room and look out over the lake and grassy hills as the sun set. |Room has great amenities, bar fridge, plenty of space and good bed. |Shower also great.

Stayed here as part of an organised tour. The cabin was spacious, well appointed, loved the heated floor in entry and bathroom. There was a large picturesque window overlooking the lake, perfect for northern lights viewing, with a little deck outside. |The staff were very welcoming and dinner was terrific. Would happily return.

The room was absolutely wonderful! Clean, spacious, and with a stunning view. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we truly enjoyed our stay 🩷 A special mention as well for the restaurant 👌🏻

What an absolutely lovely place to stay! The rooms spacious, clean and well designed. The ability to open windows and sliding door allows the fresh cool air in! The view out our sliding door was idyllic! Beds comfortable. Their restaurant haa a great dinner menu and breakfast had plenty of options for all. Service was kind and very helpful! Make dinner reservations to ensure a seat.

We stayed in the cabins and really enjoyed it. They are brand new, very pretty, and although a bit small inside, they felt cozy and welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean and so well equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The highlight for us were the big windows with amazing views of the stunning Icelandic scenery – absolutely beautiful!

My wife and I recently stayed here while driving the ring road. The staff, rooms and service is outstanding! I forgot my tablet in our room and we didn’t realize it until we were 3.5 hours away. Sorin was able to help us arrange for a guide staying at the hotel to bring the tablet back to Reykjavik so we could pick it up before flying home. Thank you for the excellent service!
