Magma Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay in the cute cabin we had. And it turned out perfectly that we had our first chance to see the aurora borealis from the attached deck. Nice, modern cabins and amenities.

What a fantastic gem! Lovely cabins - much nicer than you can tell from the photos, very modern and luxe. Very nice dinner - good food, great service. Great views of the Northern Lights, if the skies are clear. So luxurious to be able to view the lights from your room. 5 stars!

I was traveling solo but with a pre-booked trip set up by Nordic Visitor. All of the accommodations were nice, clean and comfortable but none of them had the wow factor…until this one!||To say it was cozy is an understatement. It was also thoughtfully decorated, the bed comfortable, the shower had no shortage of hot and high pressure water, the place was sparkling clean and the radiant floor heating was fantastic for winter temps. ||I truly thought about having the group go on without me just so I could stay there for much longer, but life goes on…||Can’t recommend enough!

Spent 8 nights in 7 different hotels and this was the best. And all of them were good, so that's quite something. The location in that beautiful landscape was breathtaking. Our cabin was right by one of the lakes with an amazing view. We didn't want to leave!

We traveled ring road going clockwise and this was a very much needed stay during the tail end of our road trip. Food, views, and comfort were all amazing. The restaurant is down a hill super easy to walk. The employees are super nice as well. 10/10 recommend to anyone needing a place to stay at.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and amazing location. If it weren't so cloudy, it would have been the perfect spot for the northern lights!

Late in the evening, we were reaching Magma hotel after a strenuous long day, coming from Grimsborsgir and after visiting each and every attraction of the Golden Circle. It was a nice surprise to have somebody welcoming us at the reception in Romanian. The whole Romanian team at Magma hotel made our 3 nights stay there memorable. All our warm thanks to Ruxandra, Cosmin and both Sorins. They were all great, with only one "exception": they were not able to supply a nice aurora for us.|Guys, we eventually were able to see it only once, one night before leaving Iceland, near Reykjavik!!!!

The hotel was a stop on our driving tour of the Icelandic countryside. It is in a rural area, absolutely beautiful and in a charming setting. Each room is actually a little cabin decorated in modern Scandinavian style. Spotlessly clean, quiet, with a wonderful view of grazing horses and a lake. We were only there for one night, but about the best night's sleep on our entire trip and really enjoyed the location. And the European breakfast included was spectacular!
