7 places to party in Perth when night falls - SilverKris

"A decadent city-centre nightclub popular with VIPs and serious dancers, refurbished in 2020 with a multimillion-dollar facelift that introduced canopied, pulsating LED light displays and immersive visuals synchronized to heavy bass; the overall vibe is trippy and fun. Located among other late-night bars and easily reachable by public transport, the venue operates only on Fridays and Saturdays and is a go-to for those seeking a high-end, spectacle-driven night out (try nearby Prince Lane for pre-dance drinks)." - Victoria Khroundina

Accessible entry and toilet. But disabled toilet is at the far end of the main bar and very difficult to reach when busy e.g. at a sold out gig as there was no roped off walkway and the crowd stretches from the main area to the bar. I spoke with a manager who arranged for my mobility walker to be left in a secure spot between the bar and the merch setup. That made getting into the crowd easier but it was still almost impossible to squeeze through the crowd along the bar to the toilets. Roping off a walkway would be extremely helpful!

On halloween night, my older sister went to magnet and ended up getting harassed and borderline sexually assaulted (she was grabbed and groped after some man wouldn’t leave her and her friends alone for a while) she came home distressed and in tears ,the security watched this man harass her and many other women, watched him grope her and try to SHOVE past her friends to reach her and did nothing ,not even pull him to the side to tell him to cut it out, what’s the point in security if they can’t make the place secure? feels like a piss take ,women should not be afraid to go to places like this if theres security, who apparently are incapable of doing their job when necessary,

This place has potential, it just doesn't have standards, almost anyone can get into this place and that's unfortunate iykyk- Also the down audio systems are poorly tuned for the room sizes, the music in this place sounds harsh and could really use some touching up, especially the live music room, foam pad the rear walls or whatever. The club is in a great location I just thing it could be polished up

I have waited months to see a concert here and we have been kicked out violently by the security because a drunk guy wanted to beat up my husband because he was having fun in the pit… As a female I have been kicked out violently by an Indian male with no explanation and no respect at all. Staff at the bar was absolutely rude. First time in 10 years of metal concerts that we see that shitty atmosphere and terrible management of it. We will never come back to Perth for a show.

I'm a regular at Maggie's. People say the staff aren't nice, idk if it's just me knowing them because I go there alot and most of them are my age but ide say everytime I'm there they couldn't be kinder. I've been looking at reviews of seccies kicking you out for no reason and I've never been kicked out and only have I seen 1 or 2 people and I go every weekend. Love the bands. Love the dance floor in the main area. Love upstairs could be bigger it does get croudes. And smokers is my fav. It's 18+ and people who bring their children for concerts should know it's a nightclub and that's not on the venue. Overall I love Maggie's all my mates do to.

First time at the venue watching my favourite band play last night ( Northlane ) my thoughts and views the venue was great not to big of a venue which was good and a great view from any angle 👍🏻 the only thing I didn’t like was one of the security guards telling me of because I had a small bottle of coke on me which I needed for my medication reasons which he took from me or told me to get out that’s the only thing I had against the venue

( ↓ Long story short ↓ ) The Manager on shift refunded only ONE person entry fee- for her personal mistake. To say I was disappointed is a understatement. Please don't make the mistake of visiting these two places, you might lose $200 dollars in less than 45mins. All because their staff isn't training properly and have bad attitude problems- like hey you are working. Not a good image for the company at all. ___________________________________ ( ↓The full story ... ↓ ) I am not frazed or surprised at the reviews on both The Amplifier Bar and The Magnet House. I wanted to have a fun night out with close friends because we RARELY go out due to being busy all the time. Instead was met with a horrible experience from BOTH places. One friend really wanted to go (The Amplifier) so we did and got in- mind you it was ($50 per person). Unfortunately for us the band started packing up, so we weren't there long. Due to another friend mentioning (The Magnet House) we went there. From there it went south, we were approached by a rude security guard. He mentioned the outfit my boyfriend was wearing wasn't appropriate for (The Magnet House) regulations- normal red jersey and some nice black shorts with black TN's. We probably would of moved on if not for a few reasons like; " Why were we accepted in (The Amplifier) if his outfit didn't fit the regulations?" " Isn't (The Magnet House) dress-code regulations the same? " " Why does he have to be so rude about it? Like we didn't know... " After mentioning these things to the horrible security guard- cause we are all genuinely confused here. He just start literally shaming on the outfit more with attitude- "I mean it's a sports jersey with shorts man .." something along the lines. It's not the fact he isn't letting us go in (cause of the outfit), but the fact that he is not handling this conversation well for someone that is getting paid. Not professional at all, disgusting attitude and was definitely not solving the issue at hand- like security guards are meant to do. Unfortunately from here it got worst as we decided we are just going to head back to (The Amplifier)- we did spend literally $200 for the four of us to get in why not, right? Well somehow (The Magnet House) told (The Amplifier) about this dress code issue. So the four of us didn't get back into the bar because of a three reasons. One- dress code (our fault), two- the lack of training of security guards and three- the lacking of a manager present. I am a upset customer, because I wouldnt of spend money on the entry if I was only notified at the start about the dress code. The Manager on shift refunded only ONE person entry fee- for her personal mistake. To say I was disappointed is a understatement. Please don't make the mistake of visiting these two places, you might lose $200 dollars in less than 45mins. All because their staff isn't training properly and have bad attitude problems- like hey you are working. Not a good image for the company at all.

Magnet House fraudulently charged more than the price displayed on the payment terminal, making subsequent transactions decline. No surcharge signage at the point of sale as legally required. Broadly speaking, there's no justification for surcharges that simply form the ordinary costs of doing business, let alone refusing to disclose them. Will avoid the Magnet House until they show some integrity and remove surcharges.
