30 Best Restaurants in Lisbon for Crispy Suckling Pig, Pastel de Natas, and Bifana Sandwiches | Condé Nast Traveler

"On Praça das Flores, where dinners spill into the park with glasses of wine, this share-plate charmer blends the Brazilian-and-Belgian owners’ love of travel into an easygoing menu. Think creamy camembert in puff pastry with thyme honey, tuna tartare with avocado and mango, and moreish croquettes de crevette, backed by a strong selection of local natural wines. By day it morphs into a cozy cafe for tomato soup with cheese toast, excellent coffee, and what might be the best pistachio croissant—often with the owners chatting with neighbors as they pour." - Abigail Malbon

Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"Magnolia sits on the corner of Praça das Flores, offering some fantastic people-watching. However, you may not even notice because all eyes will be on the food. Its menu changes frequently, but you can always count on a sweet brunch snack like French toast or heartier bites like Turkish eggs, cured salmon, or lamb meatballs. (Note: If Magnolia is full, its sister location, Calma, is just around the corner.)" - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. People who’ve reviewed this place less than a 5 star need to take a look in the mirror. It is 5* all day long We had a 19:30 reservation on a Friday night in November and the atmosphere was just lovely bubbling away from the moment we arrived until rolled out, full and content after the most delightful food experience Three dishes and a glass of wine each. €60 which for quality of food is exceptional. The burrata and green pesto with bread was delicious, followed by the cashew paste with Tomatoes - didn’t know what to expect but this was like a second creamy delight. The muscles - generous in garlic and there was a fight to mop up that sauce. 5/5 for food, service and atmosphere

Brilliantly tasty food with a very precise variety of meals. The vibe was so fun and cozy, and the service was amazing! We had a romantic night out and loved every minute of it. Make sure you reserve a table in advance because waiting time can be long due to high demand. Definitely coming back.

I had high hopes for Magnolia, but unfortunately it just didn't hit. They've priced themselves into the higher end of places in the area but don't really deliver in that price point. The food was simple and okay. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing I'd want to try again. But the worst part is how crammed and uncomfortable the outdoor seating area is. I just felt like I was in the way for people. The tables are placed so close together that you literally can't sit comfortable. There's definitely room for improvement here.

Beautiful place, lovely staff, and great wine selection, but unfortunately the food was a BIG disappointment. The chicken came out undercooked, and while the replacement was cooked through, it was completely dry. I’ve never sent food back to the kitchen before, but this time I had to. The salad had no flavor at all, and every dish we tried was poorly seasoned and surprisingly small in portion. The mussels tasted strongly of burnt garlic and were basically inedible, but we didn’t want to send anything back again. It’s a shame, because the service was genuinely kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is really nice. The place came highly recommended by many people, but it just doesn’t live up to the hype. For the price, the food quality simply doesn’t hold up. We really wanted to love it, but left genuinely disappointed.

Google
3.5* would be the actual rating to be honest. The food is nice, but won’t blow your mind, the space is very limited, so you get very tiny plates on tiny tables, quite close to other tables, so it gets a bit loud and hard to talk. The waiter’s recommendations were very general and the service seemed a bit “fake”, although polite. All in all, a nice place which given the price to quality ratio, I don’t see myself going to again.

Best food I had in Lisbon over 3 days. Freshly made and such fulfilling flavor. Great wine and the pear and crumble dessert was a perfect end. Beautiful setting overlooking the park. Last seating is at 10 PM but the restaurant closes at 11.

Incredible! Creative and delicious food. Plenty of options for vegetarians. This place is very popular for a reason! Be sure to book if you don’t want to wait for a table (although the wait will be worth it). Every dish was amazing!

Love this spot! Incredible wine selection, and the food was delicious. Mussels were a favorite dish. The service was wonderful, they did a great job making recommendations for wine and knowledgeable to be accommodating for gluten allergies. Atmosphere had the coziest vibes, we really enjoyed our time here! Would recommend.
