30 Best Restaurants in Lisbon for Crispy Suckling Pig, Pastel de Natas, and Bifana Sandwiches | Condé Nast Traveler

"On Praça das Flores, where dinners spill into the park with glasses of wine, this share-plate charmer blends the Brazilian-and-Belgian owners’ love of travel into an easygoing menu. Think creamy camembert in puff pastry with thyme honey, tuna tartare with avocado and mango, and moreish croquettes de crevette, backed by a strong selection of local natural wines. By day it morphs into a cozy cafe for tomato soup with cheese toast, excellent coffee, and what might be the best pistachio croissant—often with the owners chatting with neighbors as they pour." - Abigail Malbon

Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"Magnolia sits on the corner of Praça das Flores, offering some fantastic people-watching. However, you may not even notice because all eyes will be on the food. Its menu changes frequently, but you can always count on a sweet brunch snack like French toast or heartier bites like Turkish eggs, cured salmon, or lamb meatballs. (Note: If Magnolia is full, its sister location, Calma, is just around the corner.)" - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. Had a lovely breakfast at this little cafe on a charming little park. Top level latte, tasty food, cozy environment, very friendly staff, almost a family environment in the best way possible. The salmon toast was delicious and the pistachio croissant is worth the visit alone. The lamb and chicken are also both great. Excellent wine selection. Favorite spot in Lisbon.

People who’ve reviewed this place less than a 5 star need to take a look in the mirror. It is 5* all day long We had a 19:30 reservation on a Friday night in November and the atmosphere was just lovely bubbling away from the moment we arrived until rolled out, full and content after the most delightful food experience Three dishes and a glass of wine each. €60 which for quality of food is exceptional. The burrata and green pesto with bread was delicious, followed by the cashew paste with Tomatoes - didn’t know what to expect but this was like a second creamy delight. The muscles - generous in garlic and there was a fight to mop up that sauce. 5/5 for food, service and atmosphere

Gorgeous atmosphere, gorgeous food, gorgeous service! We arrived a few minutes early and were sat outside and could order wine and get acquainted with the menu before moving inside to our table. The food was so tasty - homey, creative, global but rooted in Portuguese tradition. We had tons of fun talking wine and travel with our server, who gave us great recommendations and made us feel welcome and at home from the start. This is a fantastic place to experience top-tier cooking and service with casual and comfortable vibes. The location is phenomenal as well, bordering a park square surrounded by fun spot to keep your day/night going, depending on your vibe!

In my defence, I wouldn't have chosen this place, I am dating someone that takes recommendations from TikTok. That said, the atmosphere was very pleasant for the morning, and I enjoyed the cobblestone streets. The food was decent, although overpriced in my opinion for the portions. You can find other options similar in Bica or Jardim da Estrela. What upsetted us was the service, it felt like we were making them a favour for being there. The interactions were crude and borderline annoyed at our presence, and I'd wish I had asked my partner to reconsider our choice. We were the only clients in a completely chill morning, feels like we could have gotten better service anywhere.

I had high hopes for Magnolia, but unfortunately it just didn't hit. They've priced themselves into the higher end of places in the area but don't really deliver in that price point. The food was simple and okay. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing I'd want to try again. But the worst part is how crammed and uncomfortable the outdoor seating area is. I just felt like I was in the way for people. The tables are placed so close together that you literally can't sit comfortable. There's definitely room for improvement here.

We stayed around the corner from Magnolia which because our go to for breakfast, coffees, wine, and dinner. It has a lovely feel, nice light, nice music, outside tables for nice weather and lovely waitstaff. Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful place, lovely staff, and great wine selection, but unfortunately the food was a BIG disappointment. The chicken came out undercooked, and while the replacement was cooked through, it was completely dry. I’ve never sent food back to the kitchen before, but this time I had to. The salad had no flavor at all, and every dish we tried was poorly seasoned and surprisingly small in portion. The mussels tasted strongly of burnt garlic and were basically inedible, but we didn’t want to send anything back again. It’s a shame, because the service was genuinely kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is really nice. The place came highly recommended by many people, but it just doesn’t live up to the hype. For the price, the food quality simply doesn’t hold up. We really wanted to love it, but left genuinely disappointed.
