Visited this place today because it was close to where my river boat cruise was docking for the day. Like the other review mentioned, it is at the bottom of a steep hill close to the Mississippi River, but if I was driving I would not find the hill all that intimidating as the other review mentioned... having lived in the Bay Area and dealt with driving in San Francisco, this hill to the casino was pretty mellow in comparison. In any event, there are several signs hung on lamp posts on the way down the hill trumpeting they have the loosest slots in town. Well, okay, I think they are the only casino in town, so I guess that means they also have the tightest slots in town. I found their slots to be a little miserly and I wouldn't call them loose, but $20 was enough to play a couple of hours so as far as I was concerned it offered a good return on entertainment value. The beer was free and if you are a first timer and sign up for their player card, you get a $10 credit on the card. Be careful which machine you pick to use that $10 credit, because you have to play it out on that machine. It doesn't stay on your card, that $10 gets transferred to that machine and you can't cash it out (unless you win) so pick a machine that you like and want to play on, unlike me who just picked the first machine that would activate the credit and then I found the game not too interesting.
While the slots were not particularly loose, the casino seems generous with the awards you get on the player card. I qualified for a free buffet after my couple of hours of playing, and I was only recycling the same $20 so I certainly was not a big spender. I also did not use my free buffet opportunity so I couldn't tell you how the food was, but it was nice to feel like I earned a perk right off the bat. The staff is all very friendly, the place is clean and the shuttle is free and it seems to take you where you want to go (within reason). To use the shuttle, go to the security desk and ask. I found the selection of machines to be somewhat redundant and too many of the same type of machine, so if certain types of slot machines aren't to your liking, you might not like this casino. It is perfectly adequate to spend an afternoon and I would visit again if I am in town. The view around the casino is pretty nice, so while you are trekking up and down that steep hill, take a look around at the mighty Mississippi and the beautiful little town of Nachez.
