We were finally able to stop in and try this place. When they are open, they are packed! For such a small locale, you would wonder how all the cars are able to fit in there. It's obviously a popular place, maybe the locals, but this small town also seems like a popular place for tourists. The outside is not inviting at all. If it wasn't for the neon "open" sign, you wouldn't know it was a cafe. The side of the building advertises a hair salon.
Going in, it's definitely a "dated" building. I'd say it used to be a house. The decor is basic. Walls decorated with overpriced "print" art. The interior itself needs repair, peeling wall paint, holes in the acoustic ceiling tiles.
Service was slow and when you did get it, it was rush rush rush. Our server was zipping about so much, she was unable to actually be a server. That even possible? Anyway, we did get our food and limited service. We both had the hamburger steak. Nothing on the menu said "try me". It was basic stuff that we have had so many times ". The menus were old and falling apart.
I expected a more exciting experience since the menu , more than once, lay claim to "world famous" and "our famous", but alas, disappointment found me waiting for it.
