Fabulous place to stay in Lisbon. Raquel is a delight, putting on a lovely breakfast and offering many ideas of things to do and places to eat whilst in Lisbon

Very pleasant stay. The host is very nice and friendly. It's in a walking distance to the centre, the underground is close. The accomodation is very calm. The room was tidy, but quite small, there wasn't much space for our stuff (no wardrobe), it was really just two beds, very little light. I would say fine if you don't want to spend there a whole day. The bathroom was shared, but very nice, usually free to use. Light breakfast.

This was a pleasant surprise. The communication with the guest house owners was excellent. The bedroom was more than spacious, a four-poster bed was a bonus. Plenty of cupboard space. We had a separate shower/toilet, but this was for our use only. Breakfast was okay, plenty to eat and drink which set us up for the day. The room/toilet were bright and clean, as was the breakfast area. No complaints from our stay at the guest house.||||The hill climb from the metro station marquess de Pombel was hard going. There are buses but you have to cross a busy dual carriageway to get to it.

A lovely guesthouse in central Lisbon conveniently located on metro routes. Beautiful clean rooms with a nice breakfast area stocked with excellent coffee, croissants, bread, fruit, yogurt and juice. The hostess is charming and helpful.

Loved loved my stay at Magnolia Guest House. I was the only guest visiting at the time and the hostess took the best care of me. This place is a gem right smack in the heart of Lisbon. Just a stone throw across the road from The Ritz Carlton, It was easy to walk to most places and very accessible by public bus to and from the airport. Felt very secure at all times as a solo female traveler. The breakfast selsction was excellent. I pretty much had an entire table for 6 fully spread with options. The freshly baked eats every night were also a welcome touch. There was a piano bar, a reading lounge with great views of the city. I particularly also appreciated walking back to Magnolia after a long day of exploration into soft background music from the moment I stepped into the door. On my last day, I had a very early morning flight and the hostess graciously packed a breakfast for me. She was such a sweetheart. I highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat!

This bed and breakfast is located in the middle of everything . Owner is very nice. Room was not big but very clean. Even it didn't have a TV we didn't mind. Private bathroom was a cross a hall and it was fine with us. It was a tea and a coffee set up at all the time in the breakfast room. It was a very nice touch by the owner , she left a cake for everybody at night. So when we came home after whole day of exploring Lisbon that was waiting us at the room.

I stayed at the Magnolia with my wife in may/17, and have no words to describe how great the stay was. I'll try... I will start with the host, Raquel, who is certainly a perfect host, appearing when you are thinking of asking a question about Lisbon or the Guesthouse and its neighbourhood, and fading away when she deems it proper to leave you to yourself. Despite being in her home, you have the feeling that you are the owner, not the guest. Whenever I needed some information as to what to do, how to get around, and most importantly, where to "wine and dine" with my wife, we always received great advice and recommendations. And Raquel was always friendly and helpful, asking for extra details, so that she could offer the best indications. The Guesthouse itself, and the stay... great location, and we did much walking from our temporary "home" in Lisbon - to attractions, to restaurants, etc. The location is very good, and we always felt safe. The Guesthouse is a flat that is extremely well kept and very nicely decorated, reflecting the taste and spirit of the host - clean, relaxing, beautifully furnished and decorated, yet spacious too. The private room with your personal key safeguarded your privacy, and was also spacious enough to sleep in, and spread out our two big suitcases without causing a claustrophobic effect. The bed was very comfortable, and the linen clean and crisp. Internet worked perfectly. The private bathroom was on the corridor, but just like the bedroom, we had our own key to ensure that it was just ours, and not used by other guests. (I believe some guest rooms share bathrooms - our option was to have a private one). The hot water and perks all were just right, and the bathroom always kept clean. The breakfast was also lovely, and somehow a perfect match to the Guesthouse and its decoration - not overdone or in excess, but with all the basics necessary, and fresh, of great quality, and at the time we arranged for. This is as resumed and close to the experience as words can put it... in short, LOVED IT, and will definitely return as soon as possible, to visit Lisbon, stay at the Magnolia, and say hello to the great host Raquel!
