I have been to MML several times for happy hour, but for some reason, I just never made around to trying their food. I was finally able to try out only recently.
Looking at the menu, I think you almost have to order one of their awesome burgers, but since I had actually had a few burgers earlier in the week, I decided to go with the Grand Prix, one of their chicken sandwiches. I did feel I was committing a mancard violation by not ordering one of the many seemingly delectable burgers, but the Grand Prix's awesomeness helped to assuage any worries I had.
The Grand Prix comes with Grilled Chicken Breast, Pastrami, Pepper Jack Cheese, Roasted Red Peepers, Spicy Magnolia Sauce all on a nice, square, doughy bun. I must say, this is probably one of the best, if not the best chicken sandwich to be had in Fort Worth. If the aforementioned ingredients are not enough to make your stomach growl, the chicken breast itself had an awesome flavor to it, either to their marinade or rub or both.
Another thing I really liked that, to me, was the linchpin of this great experience was the bun. I do like how MML and a few other places are featuring a larger bun that is extremely soft and tasty (think Dutch's, just without the Hawaiian sweetbread flavor). It allows you to eat an extremely large/burger sandwich, without it falling apart or its ingredients falling on you. Just delicious and the greasy fries were great as well.
My brother ordered the Magnolia custom, which looked simply awesome as well and I think for my next trip around, I will be getting that too, since I have yet to try one of their burgers.
However, if you must digress from the burger side of the menu, the Grand Prix is a nice avenue to go on, you won't be disappointed.
