Magpie Inn

We loved our stay at the Magpie. The home is beautiful and Megan has made sure every need is met from the blanket throw over the balcony swing, to the first aide kit to the extra fan in the room!! IYKYK!!! The bed was so comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! It’s walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Thank you Megan and Jeremy for having us in your home.

The Magpie Inn is a treasure in the middle of Mineral Wells. We made last minute reservations, but the accommodations we enjoyed were as if Megan and Jeremy had been preparing for "our stay" for months. We immediately received personal texts with reservation and check in details, and upon arriving found the cutest Christmas decorated home and cozy room. I loved all the personal attention to detail and the chef prepared breakfast was beyond expectations. Our visit with the hosts was enjoyable as well as the other guests we also had the pleasure of dining and visiting with. We will definitely plan another stay when we are back in the area.

The Magpie Inn is a grand old home. We visited January 1 and were pleased to find it was still beautifully decorated for Christmas. We were impressed by the thoughtful details everywhere: a container of loaner umbrellas by the front door, lovely coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar upstairs outside the guest rooms, a first aid kit thoughtfully tucked under the sink with the hair dryer, a room with games near the entrance, snacks available for guests... The owners clearly take the guest experience seriously. We elected to have breakfast delivered to our room, and it was delightful: biscuits with sausage cream gravy and bacon sprinkles, cheese omelette, and a delicious blueberry yogurt, plus coffee and orange juice. The wrap around upstairs porch is lovely. While in Mineral Wells, we enjoyed affordable mineral baths and massages at the Crazy Water Bath House. Thank you, Magpie Inn, for a relaxing retreat!

Wonderful and quaint b&b. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to my room! Location was great for exploring downtown MW. The room was cozy and bed was super comfy. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as there can be some road noise, but nothing too bothersome. I would definitely return, such an affordable and excellent experience!

This Bed and Breakfast is own by a wonderful couple that thinks about the tiniest of details to make your stay exceptional. The decor, the snacks and most comfortable beds all thought through. The breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented. We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Magpie Inn so much. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The flowers were beautiful, the cookies were delicious, and we enjoyed the bottles of Crazy Water! The coffee bar was really nice, and it included Crazy Water. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony, and we even chose to eat our breakfast out there. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Magen and Jeremy are such great hosts! AND we got to see Waldo! Hope we get the chance to stay again sometime.

Loved it! Check-in/check out was easy. I had bedroom 1 which was huge for just me. The only downside was the bathroom was detached and down the hall. But it was also the only bathroom with a tub which was much needed after a day of hiking in the freezing weather. The drinks bar in the hallway was so convenient - water, ice, coffee, hot cocoa - better than some hotels really. The option to have breakfast delivered to your room was an added bonus! Waking up and hearing people shuffle around the hallway while waiting for breakfast felt like I was at my grandma’s house for the holidays 😊 I’d love to return in the warmer months to enjoy the wrap around porch. Definitely will return!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was phenomenal! We had an amazing time, it was everything we wanted. It was cozy and we had plenty of privacy, breakfast was delicious, and the view is beautiful. Magen and Jeremy were so kind and accommodating, and wonderful with communication. They went out of their way for us, even making us a delicious vegan breakfast and accommodating special requests. We loved absolutely everything! We will definitely be back, we are already planning to stay here again for our first wedding anniversary.

I was in town for work for a FULL week. Unfortunately, I was leaving Magpie at 6:30am so I had to miss the breakfast :-(. However, each night I had a great night sleep, and the room was perfect. Plus, for those that can sense things, I will have you know it was very peaceful atmosphere at the Magpie. Easy reservations on-line. Allot of communications via text if you needed anything for your stay. If I had anything negative to say which really isn't a negative just a preference. I would have loved to see the original wood floors instead of carpet but that is just me. I am not a big fan of carpet. I would HIGHLY recommend the Magpie! Go and RELAX!!!!

This place is very pretty cozy, very clean. The host was very warm, very attentive and communicative, we had a lot of communication via text before my arrival and she gave us a full tour even though we came way past check in and were only staying that night. The breakfast was amazing, tasty, with 2 kind of eggs, bacon, parfait, Strawberries, kiwi, grapes, nuts, banana and cinnamon pastries, coffee and orange juice, we requested it into the room, it was very romantic (I came with my husband) 1 thing I will forever be super grateful is that in my mexican mind, a "detached bathroom" in a house would mean "detached from other rooms (like.. private to the room) upon arrival, our host wanted to made sure i meant to book a room with no bathroom inside... i messed up!! I would have never considered a romantic gateaway with my husband in a bedro with a bathroom outside!!! But it was my mistake, (which at that point I hadn't even realized) and she was so kind and went above and beyond to offer me a switch to another available room when I realized my terrible mistake, I cannot express how grateful I am!!!I completely recommend this great place!!!

If you are looking for a unique B&B experience, don't hesitate to book your stay at Magpie Inn! Easy reservations, communications and requesting add-on's make it simple and relaxing! Breakfast is a MUST--so good! Walking distance to downtown shops and dining are the cherries on top!

My husband and I stayed at Magpie Inn over Memorial Day weekend. This was our second time to stay there and it was as wonderful as the first time. Magen & Jeremy are so warm and friendly. It is obvious that they want you to have the best accommodations and experience while staying with them. The food is amazing (Magen is a great chef!!) and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I love the little touches like the cookies on the bedside table that were decorated specifically for Magpie Inn. It truly is like staying with friends.

Fantastic stay. Hosts Meagan and Jeremey couldn't be more hospitable. The property is excellent and homey. Great attention to the smallest detail. The breakfast was amazing! We celebrated are 40th anniversary, and it couldn't have been nicer. Very highly recommended!

Happened to be in Mineral Wells and stayed here. They were able to take me at the last minute. Great communication, sweet couple with a gift for hospitality, cool property, and the breakfast was incredible and accommodated a few food preferences I have.

What a great experience! We stayed at the inn for our anniversary and we weren't disappointed. The room was so nice and relaxing. The recommended for dinner was spot on. Breakfast was wonderful and I love the opportunity for dinning with other people. it's so much fun to meet others. We we're given the option of eating alone but enjoy meeting others. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and loved the inn and the owners. Bonnie & Wayne

We spent last weekend at the Magpie Inn , loved it!! Food was fantastic, talking with the hosts and getting their insight on places to visit was invaluable. Our days were filled with many activities, that were fun-filled. We had room #5 and it was very nice. As we were leaving, we peeked into the other rooms and all are very unique/inviting.

My husband and I stayed in Room 5 at the Magpie Inn. I can't say enough good things about this place. First impression as you drive up is a beautiful inviting Victorian home. We were not disappointed. We arrived about 9:00pm and had no trouble using the key pad to get in thanks to the directions that were text in advance. It's just as adorable on the inside as the outside. Beautifully decorated. And the breakfast!! OMG! Just incredible. Don't miss it. The bed was comfy too, and we had everything we needed. The owners were available if needed but not hovering. They gave us helpful information about places to visit in the area and were a valuable resource. We'll definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Magpie Inn. The location is convenient to downtown Mineral Wells and local attractions. The room and its furnishings, many of which are antiques, were both tasteful and extremely comfortable. The ample supply of No. 2 Crazy Water was a nice treat. Magen's breakfast each morning was delicious and a wonderful way to start off one's day. As superlative as all of these things are, they are eclipsed by the charm, friendliness, and graciousness of our hosts, Magen and Jeremy, a truly delightful couple. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning to Mineral Wells and staying at the Magpie Inn.

My friend and I were driving through Mineral Wells and wanted somewhere unique to stay. Magpie Inn was just that. You stay in an old Victorian house with a room to yourself with a nice view of the street outside. There's a walk-around patio, a snack area, a Keurig machine, tons of crazy water, and a game room. The hosts are very nice and accommodating of dietary issues when making your breakfast. You can choose to eat in your room or downstairs in the common area. We ate inside our room. The quiche lorraine was very nice and they made a delicious baked pear with vanilla yogurt. They even left some truffles on the bed stand. There's direct tv if you're wanting something to watch. They have free wi-fi and parking is pretty easy. There's plenty of space on the street and if you angle into their driveway. If you're a ghost hunting fan there's an abandoned hospital not far from here as well as the Baker Hotel and the Crazy Water Hotel. It's a nice area to walk around and there's some shopping down the way. I'd come back if I were out that way again.

We loved our stay at the quaint and inviting Magpie Inn! Magen and Jeremy welcomed us into their home and the accommodations were first-rate. We spent many hours out on the balcony relaxing, enjoying the view of historic Mineral Wells, and feasting on Magen's culinary creations! It was a perfect place of rejuvenation for two tired teachers. Next time we will plan a longer visit.
