6 food streets all true foodies must visit in South-east Asia - SilverKris

"A busy downtown thoroughfare backed by crumbling colonial architecture where street vendors line almost every block; morning highlights include mohinga rice‑noodle soup and lahpet fermented tea‑leaf salad, while nearby Chinatown becomes a raucous night scene of shared whisky bottles, cheap beer and abundant skewered barbecued meats and grilled vegetables." - DAVE STAMBOULIS

Maha Bandula Park is a lovely green space in the heart of Yangon, surrounded by key landmarks like Sule Pagoda and City Hall. It’s a great spot to take a break, enjoy the gardens, and soak in the view of the Independence Monument at its center. The park is lively yet peaceful, but keep in mind it’s closed in the evening, so plan your visit during the day.

Maha Bandula park is a lovely place which is located in the middle of the downtown area of Yangon city. Even tough it’s in the busy area but peaceful place to visit here. For entry no need to pay any money. Walking or have sometimes with friends it’s good place. It has a natural environment and some shops nearby so you can have light food as well. It’s have a historical monument. So nice place to visit.

A great public space in the middle of Yangon. There are many reasons to visit and linger. The park, the buildings around it - many with historical significance - but the best of all is people watching. Many Burmese take the time to enjoy the park, especially late in the afternoon. Walk around and choose a place to sit and do the same.

Maha Bandula Park is a public Park in the middle of the city and its free without ticket. It's really a nice place for relaxing and take your breathing after hanging around in the city. The street food vendor is around and you can try it. What I like there is the surrounded where alot of nice historical buildings like city Hall also there famous Pagoda and sunni mosque in this area. In the heart of the park there is the independence monument of Mynamar and I think it's 72 years now and it was built in the memory of independent from the British at 1948. It take the shape of obelisk and its height about 47 m and its nice to take pic there. It's highly recommended to visit this park at sunny time as it will be super crowded at night.

I went there on a bright sunny day. Everything looked really nice and beautiful. You'll find the democracy piller there. It's a historical place. A lot of tourists visit this place. People were taking rest here and there. Only let down of the place was there were a lot fake Buddhist monks who'll beg for money for no reason. And most of these fake Buddhist monks are children. Locals were alerting me to avoid them.

Maha Bandula Park, also known as **Maha Bandula Garden**, is a beautiful public park located in downtown Yangon, Myanmar. It's surrounded by notable landmarks such as the **Sule Pagoda**, **Yangon City Hall**, and the High Court .The park is named after General **Maha Bandula**, who fought against the British in the First Anglo-Burmese War. Maha Bandula Park is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Yangon. The well-maintained gardens, vibrant flowers, and towering trees offer a perfect escape from the city hustle. The view of the iconic Sule Pagoda from the park adds a serene backdrop. It's a wonderful spot for a leisurely stroll, people-watching, or simply soaking up some history.

Neat park popular with locals. A great place to do people watching and take a break after visiting all the major attractions in the area. The park's centerpiece is an imposing obelisk celebrating the end of colonialism and the country's independence from the British.
