We visited the Mahabodhi Temple on 25-26 January 2025, and the experience was truly divine. The temple’s aura of peace and spirituality was mesmerizing, with monks chanting and devotees meditating under the sacred Bodhi Tree, where Buddha attained enlightenment. The intricate carvings, the Vajrasana (Diamond Throne), and the Lotus Pond added to the serene atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the temple maintained a tranquil charm. The cool January weather made the visit even more pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, history, and spirituality. ⭐ Rating: 5/5 – A must-visit for enlightenment and tranquility!

Bodhgaya, one of the most important buddhist pilgrim site. The land of ancient Magadh where Gautam Buddha got enlightenment. The ancient kingdom of India, which was established by king Jarasandha(son of Badrinath, according to Mahabharata), from where the great emperor 'Ashoka the great' ruled almost all of the Indian subcontinent.

It is one of the UNESCO world Heritage Sites. It is one of the main temples of Buddhists. People from different parts of the world visit this place. Point to remember- mobile phones or any other electronics are not allowed inside the premises. There is a locker facility which is free of cost where you can submit your items. If you want to take a camera inside the temple then you have to take a ticket for that from the counter. If you are going to visit this place then please give some time and sit somewhere and make your mind peace for some time. Try to sit under the boddhi tree.

Absolutely an incredible place. The architecture of the temple is beautiful, and the grounds are quite well maintained. Admission is surprisingly free, although there is a 100 rupee fee to bring a camera inside. Unfortunately cell phones aren't allowed inside, so a proper camera is the only way to document your visit. But price and views aside, what really makes this place stand out is the history and the spiritual nature of this place. Walking the grounds, seeing the Bodhi Tree and the various temples devoted to Buddha and his places of mediation, it is a really surreal feeling knowing that you might have walked in the same place that the Buddha did 2500+ years ago. The mood here is so amazing, with monks and laypeople alike from all over the globe praying, chanting, and peacefully contemplating. Even if you aren't a Buddhist, this place is so incredible. If you are every lucky enough to come to India, this should be near the top of your list. It is that special.

Great religious place. No mobile or photography allowed inside its compound. We can keep bahs and mobile outside in a counter by the authority. Its a peaceful place. The old banyan tree is protected and kept well. The temple is great with architecture. Hundred's of monks are seen chanting mantras.

Very peaceful environment inside the temple. It takes some time to deposit phones & to clear the security to be inside the temple. Mobile has to be kept at locker provided outside the temple free of cost.

The importance of this temple is well known. After the 2013 bomb blast, the security has been tightened, leading to a slight queue while entering. The divinity of the place is palpable. Especially in the early morning or evening around the Bodhi teeth where people are silently praying
