Mahi ‘ai Table

Mai'ai Table is located inside the Foodland market. We didn't have dinner reservations, so it took 20-30 minutes for a table to be ready, which was fine since we could browse Foodland to pass the time. The dining area is clean and spacious with a full bar. Once seated, we wasted no time ordering drinks and looking over the menu. The house cocktails sounded terrific, but I got the strawberry-lychee lemonade, and it was refreshing and sweet. We started with some delicious appetizers to share—Soy-Glazed Mango Habanero Wings, Steamed Shrimp & Pork Wonton, and Korean Sticky Ribs. All had great flavors, and the ribs were very tender. My main entrée was the Spicy Garlic Noodles, and I really enjoyed it. It was a little on the salty side, but it didn't stop me from devouring it all. You can also add proteins like chicken, fish, and shrimp, but I enjoyed the 7-minute egg that comes with it already. For dessert, we shared the Kulolo Haupia Sundae and Kona Coffee Mud Pie—both were decadent and a satisfying finish to our meal. There was also live music for dinner. I forgot the musician's name, but he covered some great popular and local tunes. I had to tip him on a couple of favorite songs he covered. The staff was kind and attentive. Checking in regularly but not overbearing. I would come back again when I'm back on vacation in the area. An enjoyable experience overall.

Another Update: this place has slowly becoming my favorite restaurant on the island even though we live 40 minutes away. After trying its dumplings, I knew I had to drag my friends to try the dumplings and my other favorites. Naturally, my friends love them as well. Those dumplings can give you a geastomical experience you soon won’t forget. Also had its butter fish that was definitely delightful. The only dish that could use improvement was the salmon that came with the garlic noodle. It was very dry, not sure how that happened. Everything else was great. The cocktails we got tasted good, but they were light on the liquor. Update as of 1/2026: we came with with my in-laws. The garlic noodle with shrimps was very good and as well as its spicy chicken wings. Service was wonderful as before. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our dinning experience here. Original Review: What a great find inside one of the finer Foodland stores on the island. The farm to table freshness was clearly tasted. We came by at just as the Happy Hour started (2-6 p.m.) . We tried the mushroom pizza with truffle oil and it’s one the best pizzas we had on the island and that’s saying a lot because surprisingly Oahu boasts quite a few places that offer above average pizzas. We also had its salad that was tasty and fresh, of course. Finally, its Brussels sprouts had a very complex yet satisfying taste. I could sense its tiny bit of sweetness, sourness and saltiness all at the same time. This is a must try item here. The juice was very good here as well. The service was wonderful and the sitting area was roomy and clean, though a bit on the boring side.

Your local food stop with more elevated dishes. We came here for the Singaporean Black Pepper Dungeness Crab Special with the Lap Cheong Fried Rice and Wok Fried Garlic Ong Choy. Although I think that the lap cheong fried rice didn’t really complement well with the crab, it was good on its own. The crab was the star of the show, and I’m glad we were able to try the dish before they stopped offering it. The sauce was addicting, and the crab was simply amazing. I’d love to see more of their seasonal menus and try the other dishes they offer.

Wasn't sure what to order and the friendly server gave awesome suggestions. The butterfish is the best thing I have ate in 4 weeks on this island. The mango habanero wings are just right. Also enjoyed the clams and the bartender was excellent as well, great old fashioned! Highly recommend, also they had live music, not too loud and great selection of songs!

We were here on vacation. We asked several people for recommendations. This place is awesome!! We ordered an assortment of dishes so our family could sample different dishes. They were all Excellent!! And the surprise was live music for a GREAT enhancement of our dining experience!!!! And the gentlemen playing are of world class entertainment! Scallion flat bread was subtle and delicious. We got the crispy chicken confit and it was so tender, the chicken skin was glazed with delicious sauce. The fresh catch was so juicy and cooked perfectly, seasoned very well. Veggies came in crunchy, pleasant texture. Everything is so well priced and came in great portions. We went here for dinner on a Friday and there was lovely live music. Service was quick and everyone was so friendly. Lots of free parking! They take cards for payment. No outdoor area. Reservation is needed as it gets crowded during peak hours.

Dinner for two. Hostess was friendly, as was our server and other staff - 3* for service was because we only saw our server three times in the hour+ we were there - and not at our table, but out on the floor? All this to say the friendliness was not enough to overcome the average service. Food was great though, and the ambiance above average, especially considering the restaurant is in a grocery store. We likely go back and comfortable recommending it as a place for a nice meal in Kapolei, where solid choices are limited. Also a shoutout for the local live music, the duo there our night were great! Edit: subsequently been back a couple of times and the service has been great and the food even better - their misoyaki butterfish is to die for! And also a special shout out for their Korean ribs!

It is crazy to think that a restaurant in/next to a grocery store could be this good, but it was top notch! Foodland is always our go-to store when we land in Hawai'i and need a quick fix of supermarket poke, but our concierge recommended Mahi 'ai Table as a dinner spot also. It was one of the best meals of our trip. Patrick, our server, was super friendly and enthusiastic. The manager was attentive all night and we loved the live music. It was a unique experience for sure. The food shined and the drinks were pretty awesome too. All the food is sourced locally and you could taste the island's freshest bounty. The flavors were classic Hawaii, but elevated and inventive. Please do not think that a restaurant attached to Foodland is a bad thing. It is a great thing and represents all we love about Hawai'i. Please do go and Mahalo to whoever invented this concept.

Located inside of Foodland at Ka Makana Ali'i This restaurant is really delicious - a must try. Often not something you may consider, but they have all of the freshest ingredients, from a top quality grocery store! Great service, Chuck Chuck was amazing. Others stopped by the table as well, to ensure waters were filled and to just show aloha. Check out the delicious photos!

Ahhh... FINALLY!! I've been wanting to comeback since I've been here back in December with friends for a Christmas get together. Dinner: Our Mahi'ai table consisted of: -Braised short ribs on a bed garlic rice. (For me) -Half pound burger with fries. (For the husband) Dessert: Came for the Kulolo Haupia Sundae, unfortunately it wasn't available. Hopefully next time. I ordered the Kona coffee mud pie with chocolate sauce. $11 Great Choice! It's Chocolate & Kona coffee gelato, chocolate cake, warm chocolate sauce and topped with puffed rice crunch. Perfect for sharing. Everything we ate was delicious & satisfying. Located inside a very fresh and modern Foodland. We came on a weeknight and did not have to wait for a table. Misoyaki Butterfish - 32 hearts of palm, Ewa sweet corn, Sumida Farm watercress namul, takana ginger scallion rice, nori butter sauce - This was my favorite. It reminds me of the Cantonese style braised fish. It was well seasoned and the fish was soft and buttery. Presentation was nice. Mahi'ai Cobb (GF) - 18 MA'O sassy mix, avocado, Ho Farms tomato, Sweet Land Farm feta, 7-minute egg, lardon, papaya seed vinaigrette - Good size dish. Everything went well together. Delicious salad. Strawberry-Lychee Lemonade - 7 - Not too sour! Just how I like it. I downed this thing like no other. Would have asked for another if my toddler didn't fall asleep on my lap. We got a cheese pizza for the toddler. She ate it later after she woke up in the parking lot.... Speaking of parking - located in a new developed mall. Plenty of parking. Bathrooms are shared with Foodland.

Food is done consistently good. Had their loco mono, ahi burger and some fried Brussels sprouts Service attentive, relaxing ambiance...highly recommend.

Mahi'ai Table has quickly become one of our go-to spots in Kapolei. We've been here a couple of times now, and it consistently delivers that fresh, farm-to-table quality that's hard to beat in the area. The atmosphere strikes a great balance--professional enough for a nice sit-down meal, but still feels like a comfortable local gem right inside Foodland Farms. ​On our most recent visit, we started with the Steamed Shrimp & Pork Wontons, which have a great kick from the garlic chili crunch. The Yukari Crusted Ahi Club was another winner, with the shiso adding a nice herbal touch to the fish. We also tried the Spicy Garlic Noodles with Furikake Salmon; the noodles themselves were excellent and packed with flavor, though the salmon was a bit on the dry side this time and could have used a little more seasoning to really pop. ​For drinks, you can't go wrong with the Ube Condensed Milk Latte-- It was delicious, though worth noting that the ube flavor is a bit more subtle and mostly blends into the coffee taste rather than overpowering it. We finished things off with the Kona Coffee Mud Pie, which was the perfect rich ending to the meal. The overall experience keeps us coming back. It's always a solid choice for supporting local.

Went to Mahiʻai Table for pau hana and had a really nice experience overall. The atmosphere was great, and they had a live singer that night which added a fun, relaxed vibe. We were seated promptly and greeted right away, which always sets the tone. For drinks, I ordered the pickled mango margarita. I'm not sure I'd order that one again--the pickled mango (which I believe may be from Jade's) gets very hard once it's in an ice-cold drink and doesn't quite taste the same. I also had a mojito, which I loved--the presentation was beautiful and the fresh mint on top really made it. We shared a few appetizers, and the poke was the standout. It was light, fresh, and really well done. I'd never had poke prepared with diced tomatoes and onions the way they did it, but it worked beautifully. You could tell the quality was there, and I'd absolutely order it again. Overall, it's a great place to go with friends or family, and I'm excited to come back for dinner.

This was another place that was highly recommended to us. We did meet up with family for lunch here. This restaurant was located inside of Foodland Farms. Foodland is where we usually shop for groceries, treats and poke when we visit the island. The menu has a wide variety to choose from and again, it was difficult to decide what to eat. The Staff were super friendly! And the restaurant wasnt very busy at the time we were there. Not as noisy, as most places. We started off with some Steamed Shrimp and Pork Wontons, these were delicious because they were served with a sauce that was very tasty and had that garlic chili crunch on top. So good! As for our lunch, I ordered fish tacos. The catch of the day was swordfish. So, I basically ordered swordfish tacos and they were pretty good! We also ordered the fresh local ahi burger, which was very tasty. We definitely had a good time enjoying our lunch. I recommend this place and we will be back again to try more.

Discovered this spot on yelp. Similar to Et Al at the Kahala Foodland. Mahiai Table is located inside Foodland at Kapolei. I made a reservation just in case it gets busy. We came during brunch hours, not too busy. My friend and I shared two dishes (sweet and savory): - Strawberry Guava Mochi Pancake - Pretty big ones stacked with 3. The pancakes were topped with strawberry, whipped cream, and some guava cookie crumbs. It came out fresh. Soo good. - Short rib loco moco $23 -the meat was sooo tender and flavorful. Really good. It was a nice place to enjoy a brunch date.

I was curious on the Hawaiian meaning for...MAHI'AI so I looked it up on google. According to google, mahi'ai means..."Farmer, cultivator or agriculturalist." Now, I know the meaning behind the restaurant's name which is...MAHI'AI TABLE. As you can see, the restaurant is a farm to table concept! I love the fact that they use local and fresh ingredients in their dishes. Supporting local is my kinda' jam! The restaurant is located in Foodland Farms at Ka Makana Ali'i Kapolei. It is a clean, spacious, cool and a hip atmosphere. The perfect place to hang out with family and friends. I've come here many times to celebrate birthdays, holidays and special occasions. I never went home disappointed! I've always had AMAZING service, AMAZING food and AMAZING live entertainment! I enjoy going to MT during their PAU HANA from 2-6 pm because of their drinks and grinds specials. This is the 2nd time I've been here. This time around the service was lacking. There wasn't that many customers yet the servers didn't seem as attentive. It took a while for someone to ask to take our orders, we had to ask for water and we were checked up on only once. Food was ok. We stuck to the Happy Hour menu. I recommend the picked mango margarita. The space is nice, comfortable chairs and lots of seating. I enjoy the live music. The west side don't have much options for HH spots but Mahiai is ok.

One of my go to spots for happy hour! Why? Because of its daily from 2PM - 6PM! The drinks are very well worth it - my favorite, the pickled mango margarita. There isn't much to choose from for the Happy Hour Pupus but we usually get the a couple rounds of Handcut Fries and the Lechon Style Brussels Sprout along with an entree and that's more than enough to fill our bellies. Don't forget they have live music on certain days too! & I always enjoy good music

Full service restaurant inside of Foodland Marketplace. The hostess is always so sweet and welcoming. It's a very clean, light and bright room with nice furnishings. The menu has a lot of great options and everything I've had there is delicious.

I love coming here whenever I feel like eatting their Manila clams and lechon brussel sprouts (my go to!) They have a one page menu for their food which is easy to select from. Their kūlolo dessert with ice cream is a must try. During dinner time, they have live music. It's best to reserve before coming because it could get busy. The service is excellent every time I come there. They also have happy hour which is nice and the prices are not bad at all. Heads up though - breakfast is only for the weekend!

First time here. Came to try their special restaurant week set menu. Food was delicious, everything was nicely seasoned. Waitstaff was friendly and the restaurant clean and spacious

My Experience at Mahi'ai table has always been a great one. Despite being inside Foodland, the service and food is top tier. For some, pricing can be a turn off, but the ingredients are picked and used locally. Trust me everything on the menu, I highly recommend trying , and who knows it can be a familiar favorite. I always find myself coming back for their ube latte drinks, scallion bread and the crunch salad (not pictured since, since I wanted to try something different). Fish of the day tacos (3pcs) : I say fish of the day because it's usually fish they have currently. Surprisingly not fried, but grilled and marinated nicely. I believe it's like an Asian tangy and citrus sauce, maybe mandarin or yuzu. They provide a lime but because it already has that flavor, there is no need for, just put it in your water. Shrimp & Pork Wontons: never have I seen a dumpling prepared nicely. the presentation, all sauced out with garlic chili oil and a creamy shoyu sauce. Don't be deceived though, there's a little kick ,a bit of horseradish or wasabi? Anyway it's a nice appetizer to share. Braised Short rib Loco Moco: I haven't tried it personally but it smelled and looked so good. Two of my friends that I went with liked it, when they cut into the meat, it like fell apart, juices, tender, that's a good sign. Come with a big appetite or else you will just end up taking it to go. It's pretty heavy.

I watched a video on Instagram of somebody reviewing the Restaurant Week offering here and because I love crab I made a reservation before the special went away. We've never eaten here before but it is easy to find in the Foodland farms. The decor is super cute and you wouldn't know it was in a grocery store. They also had live music that evening which really added to the ambiance. We already knew what we were getting when we got there but we did look at the menu and decided we do have to come back and try some of their normal offerings. We opted to go with the restaurant Week special which is a Dungeness crab Singaporean black pepper style, Lap Cheong fried rice, and garlic ong choy. We also decided to add on the drink option which was a large Singha beer and two Calpico and Yuzu shots. The drinks came first and the waitress poured them into two glasses so essentially we got two beers and two shots for $18. I was DD so I took a sip of the beer and let my boyfriend have both glasses but I really enjoyed the shot. I sipped it instead of taking it straight and it was really nice and fruity from the yuzu. The food came out pretty quickly and everything looked delicious. They also give you a bowl for the crab shells and gloves should you not wish to get dirty. We can't eat with gloves (yuck) so we just got messy but they did give us some wet naps at the end to clean up. I tasted the pepper sauce first and was surprised at how tasty it was. I was kind of concerned it was going to have some seasonings that I didn't like but it was absolutely perfect and it had a nice bit of heat to it on the end. We actually ended up mixing the sauce in with the fried rice. Fried rice was really good as well and I enjoyed the ong choy in the garlic sauce. Literally throughout the entire meal we kept talking about how good the crab in the black pepper sauce was. Before tip our bill was $76 for the food and the four drinks which I thought was pretty reasonable. The last day of their special is Sunday 16 November so make sure you run out and grab it before it's gone.

Made another visit to Mahi'ai table for an early Friday Eve dinner. I must admit I was less satisfied than in previous visits. 3.5-4 stars and it was all due to the beginning service. Before I get to that let's talk food. Their menu has a wide array of deliciousness of which ranging from $15-$45 a plate has something for everyone's budget. They are known for their fish here but I personally love their Spicy Garlic noodles. The flavor is excellent and the food is one of the main reasons for scoring so high. Everything is made fresh and you will surely be satisfied no matter what you order. Tonight my husband ordered the Rib eye trying something new with a a bit of disappointment because the piece was mostly fat. My garlic noodles were great however. The ambiance is nice and peaceful we did a walk in but make sure to make reservations especially on a Friday night because it can get pretty busy. There was live music and made for a very fun and casual night to enjoy a meal. Located in Kamakana Mall in Foodland there is always ample parking with quick turn around and plenty of stalls. We love this foodland as well. Now returning to the service. Kudos and shout out to Laula our waitress who saved the service end as she was absolutely wonderful. We were upset with the treatment at the beginning with our hostess who put us on a rocky small table and told us there was no availability for a regular size table or booth even with a toddler. They did accommodate a high chair for us however she also mentioned we needed to leave before 7 (their dinner rush) very rude. Are walk ins not welcomed as paying customers here? In addition the whole time we were there 3/4 of the regular sized tables remained open and empty.... Laula our waitress was so sweet by moving another small table so we could sit more comfortably. We hope management sees this & service improves on the hostess end on the next visit but overall food was good and still enjoyable

Close to home in ka makana alii, great for after shopping, or just to chill after a hard day at work. The beer is always chilled. The food is always oh so good. Live music is a treat. Come with good company and just relax. Staff is friendly, prompt, and efficient. Atmosphere is chill and relaxing, just good vibes only. Menu changes, so menu varies, as the monthly and or seasonal menu changes. See you there peeps!

My husband and I decided to have our NYE dinner here and we're so glad we did. The food was so good. I ordered the miso butterfish and he ordered the steak with garlic rice. As an appetizer we opted for the scallion bread with an aioli sauce. Service was great! Ambiance was nice with a live band. We did have to make reservations and were seated right away. There's plenty of parking and seating is either a table or booth. There's something for everyone on their menu and you won't be disappointed. Thank you for a memorable NYE dinner experience!

I still love the food. This is definitely a go to place for us when we have guests visiting. The drinks are delicious and the food is flavorful. Service is great! The ambience is super chill and I love I can go shopping after I eat.

We love coming here for the vibes! Local music playing, aunties dancing hula, food is yummm and staff is awesome! I always make reservations on open table with no problems but if you have a bigger party just call them. I forgot to take pictures of my must order appetizers: clams, truffle fries and Brussels. This dinner I ordered misoyaki butterfish and braised short ribs, other times I'll order the spicy garlic noodles with salmon. Can't wait to come back and get the Kona coffee mud pie with a puff rice crust for dessert.

This is a "fancy restaurant" experience without the fancy price. Located inside of the Foodland Farms. The food here has those deep pockets of flavors that blend ever so perfectly together with each other. Utilizing lots of local ingredients, I can definitely tell that there is a master chef behind the creation of these dishes. I was stuffed trying to eat as much as I could because I just couldn't get enough. Even the drinks and desserts were a great mix of flavors. 3 entrees, 1 dessert, a mixed drink, a latte, and endless iced tea all for $100 (before tip) = insanely underpriced for what you get. The host, servers, and the manager were very professional as well, making sure to check on us periodically for refills as well as promptly cleaning our table whenever we cleaned a plate. The place is also very aesthetic and clean. I didn't see anything crumbs/smudges left on their floors/tables. Hope this place keeps up their quality over time.

My wife came to this restaurant which is located in the food land for New Year's Eve dinner. We started with the scallion bread which was very delicious it looked like a pizza to be honest it's a must try ask for a side of the garlic aioli they should offer this with some type of protein or portobello mushrooms . My wife ordered the butter fish and I had the steak. The steak was great and cooked to perfection it was like butter. My wife's dish OMG melt in your mouth and bike da mouf ONO. Ry our server was great and attentive answered all of our questions great customer service. The setting was cute and casual and offer live music. Definitely a must try.

We love to go here after a long day of work to relax. They have live music which contributes to the relaxation. Their menu is small, but packed with tasty food. Their portion sizes are pretty good. They also have a full bar, which also helps with the relaxation. They're located in Foodland Farms in the Ka Makana Alii mall. Tell the Scott sent you. Nah, they don't know me. Pau Hana Menu - 2pm - 6pm - also known as happy hour! I opted for the fish tacos, lechon style bites and the mushroom pizza. Food was tasty and their menu has a nice variety to choose from with reasonable prices. Music is from 5pm - 8pm and the person they had entertaining was really good. We sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive to our needs. I love being able to relax, eat and listen to music.

Great for Lunch during the weekday, no crowds no wait. Food was very yummy and service was good. Been great experiences so far the few times I've been here.

Food delicious. Prices comparable. I look forward to the innovative specials of the day. This trip there was only one but didn't sound as interesting as other times. That's OK, regular item menus solid. I enjoyed my half pound house burger, a little too much. I should have had leftovers. Lol. Other table mates enjoyed the fish and chips, karaage nori, and chicken one other the locomoco. Table was pretty silent ! No room for dessert until a few hours later when we stopped for shave ice up the street. Hope to make it back when they have live music. Parking plentiful in the Ka Makani Ali'i shopping mall.

Shot out to Shane guy who took our call late at night at our favorite restaurant. We were able to secure an early Valentine's Day dinner reservation as they were fully booked from 4:30-8pm. Glad we came here for a wonderful prixe fixe meal! Phenomenal!

Great food, lots of parking, quick and friendly service, casual dining with a good price point. What more can you ask for? Located in Foodland at Kamakana Alii, Mahi'ai Table is a convenient place to meet up and have a bite. We visited during happy hour, and decided to try menu items at happy hour prices! Casual vibes make this a go-to spot any day of the week.

Today was my second visit here. Truthfully, at least for me, when you're eating at a restaurant in a super market the make or break it factor was dining with wonderful eating companions. Peter booked a 11:30 a.m. reservation for the three of us. For a Friday there were many available seating and when asked, we chose a booth. Peter so generously ordered appetizers for us to share. Out of the scallion bread(crispy with a tiny kick) and the steamed won tons whose topping and sauce looked like it might be spicy had a soft texture with a unique delicious flavor. Our plate came with five pieces of won tun. The kim chee Reuben was missing the pipikaula and was graciously removed from the tab. My nori chicken had an essence of fish, the elote was a bit tart. The garlic rice was good and enjoyable. The appetizers saved me. The fun conversation covering many varied topics during our time there for lunch was both entertaining and interesting. Loved the sharing of pictures and knowledge about our trips, families, growing up, pets and more. Thankyou so much for lunch Peter, truly enjoyed the pleasure of your company and Terry's too! Arigato for the goodies, I'm excited to enjoy all of them from you both.

It was my first time going to their pau hana (2-6pm every day) and I think I definitely prefer it to their regular lunch/dinner. I highly recommend the scallion bread, which is HUGE and only $8 during their pau hana! Cocktails were only $10; I loved the ube spritz. I'll definitely be back!

Wow food here is amazing! We got their steamed spicy pork and shrimp dumplings, charred pork belly, misoyaki butterfish and Kona coffee mud pie. Not only was food delish it looked beautifully presented too. Service was also great!

We had a small get together on a Sunday for Lunch We had a awesome waitress her name is Laula and she give such good recommendation. Laula is such a sweet and friendly person very attentive to us! We started with the pop sticker with pork and shrimp with chili sauce in it that was really delicious and we had french fries and it was nice because she put the ketchup and the garlic aïoli sauce on the side. Forgot to take a picture of that, then she suggested the mix plate and she even ask if you wanted the chicken sauce on the side or over it, they had a special shrimp with bonito that was yummy , also the chocolate mousse pie was so yummy. If you never went to Kapolei food land farm you gotta try it the restaurant food is awesome, and great service. Plus after you can go shopping for your dinner!

We had a great dining experience at Mahiai Table! We went in on a Tuesday around 1pm, it wasn't too busy, we were seated quickly and the food came out timely. We started with the lechon-style Brussels sprouts. The Patis vinaigrette is savory, slightly tangy, and it complements the onions and tomatoes so well. Even someone who normally avoids Brussels sprouts would be surprised how good it taste after one bite. Next up was the Ali'i mushroom pizza. The mushrooms were hearty and flavorful, and the touch of lemon rind added a bright, citrusy note that balanced the richness perfectly. Definitely not your average mushroom pizza. We also had the fish tacos. The fish was well-seasoned with a delicious smoky flavor. We really appreciate that they used lime slices to help the tacos keep its shape...it was a functional and flavor enhancing garnish! We also really appreciated how kind our server was. She was attentive and when we asked for boxes for our leftovers, she brought us boxes, a bag, and even put our drink refills into a to-go cup. We'll definitely be back again!

Mahiai Table is located in Foodland in Kamakana Alii. We were there for my Aunt's 91st birthday, who didn't show up as she had other plans. So my sister, cousin and I enjoyed her birthday dinner and visited her after dinner reservations. We made it in time for happy hour. The shrimp and pork wonton was really good most especially because of the sauce which we used to dip our scallion bread in. And we shared the anykine crunch salad that we also enjoyed. My sister enjoyed her misoyaki butterfish. My cousin also enjoyed her braised pork. While I ordered the fish tacos which was really filling after eating the apps and salad. However, we still had room for dessert. The Kona coffee mud pie is ice cream that, initially, was rock solid. But it was really good on a warm humid day. Mahiai is a really nice looking restaurant for one that is located in a super market. They have music every night and so it really is a nice added touch while dining. And the staff was great too.

I don't think I'm ever disappointed when I come here. Except when they say they're busy and there's tables open all over cuz "reservations". But other than that my favorite thing to get here is the steamed clams. Always refreshing and light. Not weighted down with tons of butter and the flavor of the clam lost. The Hapa Poke is also really good. Think like ceviche for flavor profile I guess. The fish tacos are good but not as good as mine. I might be biased but my wife agrees lol, but they are good. Wish the fish pieces were enough to at least fill the length of the tortilla though. The Brussels are good as well. Also to drink I had the Ume Whiskey Sour. Right up my alley and delicious. Right amount of sour. I think what would put it over the top is some Shiso leaf to garnish. I think it would change the flavor profile also. Anyway the restaurant is well lit, clean, staff is nice, tentative. Recommended if you're in the area.

AMAZING! Stumbled across this place trying to find some dinner and it did not disappoint! They had live music with Johnny the third playing with an amazing harmonica player Willie. Every dish was so delicious, so yummy. Our server Bella was amazing and the vibe was just top notch. Please please give this place a try it it is soo good!

Portuguese Bean Soup; The veggies are thoroughly cooked and soft. Little meat in the soup but I did enjoyed it. Brussel sprouts was enjoyed by the hubs, I personally wouldn't order it again but the lechon aspect has a nice smokey flavorl Seared fish tasted fresh, would def try their other catch. Genuinely enjoyed my choice Charred Pork Belly Adobo. The pinakbet was very appetizing. Would order again!

Bartender was kind and recommended menu items. Live music was lovely and the food was fantastic.

I've been to Mahi'ai Table many times before and have always had a great experience with awesome food. Today was no different, and it was the first time my friend wanted to come here for her birthday. We had reservations for 11:00 am, which was easily made on open table. We were seated promptly and given a booth, which was requested when reservations were made. There were not many people in the restaurant at that time, but within an hour many tables began filling up. Chuck was our waiter/ bartender. He was very attentive and serviced our table very well. Our pickled mango margarita was made very well and he gave my other friend an assortment of tea with her hot water. All our pupu dishes came out fast. We didn't realize how big the dishes were and had lots of left over to take home. We all enjoyed the fries with a side of roasted garlic aioli sauce. The fish from the fish and chips was a good size. The outside was nice and crispy and the fish was moist and flavorful with a squeeze of lemon and tartar sauce. The spicy garlic noodle had a nice little kick but not too over powering. The dessert was my favorite, as it had the kulolo and haupia ice cream. The brittle was an added little bonus. The mango compote on it didn't really match the dessert so we just pushed it to the side. Everything was very good and I will definitely be back!!

Great location , substantial ambiance and smashing customer service! However.... Two stars for the reason that some items were extremely dry. We ordered the Spicy Garlic noodles and added chicken , the chicken had zero seasoning and was as if it was pre-cooked and microwaved. Also ordered Mochiko Crusted Ahi Belly with Garlic rice. The garlic rice was dry and hard close to uncooked rice grains. Also the Ahi belly was just deep fried and NO mochiko crust. Everything else was good, just very disappointed in the SHORT CUTS taken in the mentioned items.

Disclaimer, It's my first time coming here. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and I've been hearing great reviews about this place so I was excited to try it out! I ate the spicy garlic noodles and shared the lechon style Brussels sprouts. I don't even like Brussels sprouts much, but this one was pretty addicting and enjoyable. The noodles were flavorful and I'm glad my egg was cooked right and jellish!! It was perfect!!! My friend ordered the spicy garlic noodles as well but I did notice that she had less specks of spice than mine, but we were both very happy with the level of spice! Our server was friendly and attentive! Place is clean and modern! Had a great first experience here! Since it's located in the Foodland at Kamakana Ali'i it was a given we'd shop around after and get a few steps after eating. The only thing I'd say is it's a bit pricey, but I'm glad I tried this place and would happily return again.

I love how this place always has live music! Me and live music go hand in hand! I absolutely love Manila clams and order them all the time! The service is always great here, so nice and helpful. I love how it's always busy in there, like life happens, let's enjoy it for a little before going back to reality...since it's in Foodland farms, like a little escape! I've been wanting to try the brunch here so I'm definitely making my way out one day. It's super close to home and the crazy part is, you're always bumping into someone you know lol.

Spent my birthday at Mahi'Ai. My coworkers took me there for lunch and my family took me there for dinner. The best of both worlds. Lunch menu and Dinner menu were similar but different. Loved the Ali'i Pizza for lunch and Manila Clams and Pulehu Steak and Fries for dinner. Service was good both times. There was "Live" music during the dinner service. We had a great time with family and friends. Great food and great music .

My wife and I were out and about and just spontaneously decided to eat out so we decided to go here. Pros: greeted nicely and seated right away, live music was a nice added touch, food is good- Korean style ribs a winner for sure!! Cons: Once our server took our order we never saw her again to ask us for dessert and then we saw her once more when she gave us the bill. I had to ask for my water to be refilled. I also mentioned to the server that when my meal came I wanted sparkling water - which I never got because we never saw our server. It was very disappointing, not even the manager came by to check on us, instead he and other staff were having great conversations with each other. I mean for two of us with an app, entree and dessert, $100 spontaneous dinner was extremely disappointing. Wasn't expecting fine dining service, but didn't think I would have to ask someone who was not our server to fill my water and the best service we got was from the food runner who was extremely friendly and actually offered to fill my water when it went empty a second time ( he was the Asian guy with the tattoo sleeve... appreciate you). Not sure if I would recommend this place or if I would go back. Food is good and the live music is good. But the service or lack of really lets down the whole experience.
