Mahibadhoo

Mahibadhoo offers a true authentic Maldivian experience. Since it's the capital of the atoll, it has all the necessary amenities like banks, a hospital, and plenty of shops. The locals are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's not a resort, but a beautiful, clean island to see how locals live.

Is the ruling island of this Atoll. A small island crowded people and very few guests houses.. While I went to mahibadhoo , I didn't see any tourists here.. Island roads are with blocks.. So it's very hot.. Had a little area called as a bikini beach.

You can catch the local ferry if you are staying on digurah or dhangeti and spend a day on the island. You have about 3 hours on the island which is perfect to walk through the island, catch something to eat and walk to the public or bikini beach. Look out for the pet rabbits in the generator enclosure by the beach!

Instead of Mahibadhoo, Maale Maldives, I think it would be better if you can update as below; Adh.Mahibadhoo, South Ari Atoll, Republic of Madives or Mahibadhoo, South Ari Atoll, Maldives . Just an opinion.

Good location amazing island

It's really beautiful, peaceful and clean Island in Maldives. There is a school and hospital too. It's completely friendly community.

One of the best small island I have served while I was in Maldives. I served there as the teacher of IT in the local school. I was fortunate to start the first IT lab in the school with the generous help of the Atol Chief.

While the youth of Mahibadhoo enjoin in various types of sports - including volleyball, netball, handball and the traditional ‘bashi’ - the one sport that made Mahibadhoo stand out from The rest of the country is football.
