Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club, Curio Collection by Hilton

The rooms were really nice. Clean, quiet and comfortable. For that much money though it would have been nice to have plates,silverware and a coffee maker in the rooms. The staff was excellent, from the front desk to the guys on the boat and at the beach, so nice! We really enjoyed the ride to the beach but the food and drinks there (and on the entire resort) were very pricy. It was far from town (which was quiet and peaceful) but the golf carts on the resort were over priced. We just walked in town and ate because it was so much cheaper and was a bit tastier. I personally felt like it seemed more like being in the states than in Belize which might be nice for some people. Thank you to all of the staff members, they really made the trip pleasant!

Everyone at the resort has been absolutely amazing. Kimberly at the Veranda Restaurant is exceptional. ||The accommodations were great. The food was top tier. The General Manager, Richard, took care of us. I never remember going to a luxury resort and the general manager was so accessible. This is a wonderful atmosphere.||I would give this resort a higher rating if possible.||I will definitely return to this resort when I return to Belize.

I’ll start with the good.. The employees at the resort are so sweet and helpful! They go out of their way to make sure that whatever You want or need is provided!! The Bad… You would think with the cost of staying at this resort there would be more included, However, there is not!! You have to pay for every single thing excluding a welcome drink.. There’s also an up charge for everything!! We spent more at the resort in one day on two meals and four drinks then we did in the three days we ate and drank off the resort.. lastly, the way that it is advertised you think that you’re on the water however you’re not.. this resort is not ocean front.. WORST… We brought our own bug spray and bedbug spray && SHEETS!! We could’ve dealt with the mosquitoes and the other wildlife that was around… However, bedbugs is really where we draw the line, Unfortunately, we didn’t realize that they had bedbugs until we made it home and saw the bites all over our bodies && no it’s not mosquitoes bites, we know the difference!! Unfortunately , this isn’t the first review that mentioned an infestation of bed bugs but we didn’t see this before booking!

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at Mahogany Bay Resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to eat and visit nearby. I felt safe during my stay. The room was spacious, and the setup was exactly as shown online. They were doing construction on the property, and it was a bit noisy during the day. The only problem I experienced was with the mosquitoes. I had quite a few insect bites. It wasn't until my last night there that I mentioned it to a staff member, and they provided me with a spray. Overall, I would stay at this resort again.

The team at Mahogany Bay Hilton is incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests. Whether it was booking excursions, providing local recommendations, or just making sure I was comfortable, they made me feel like a VIP the entire time. If you're looking for a peaceful yet luxurious getaway in Belize, I highly recommend Mahogany Bay Hilton. It’s a perfect blend of relaxation, beauty, and exceptional service!

I’ve stayed here twice and my first time was a 5/5. Unfortunately I can not say the same for this second time and I will never be back. First off, the staff are great. Super nice and helpful. Customer service was 5/5 as well. I complained about the mold on both shower heads, the door not being able to stay closed, and the floors being uneven. They offered a room change however we declined because my boyfriend did not want to do too much moving around as he was tired from the traveling. So instead they came and changed the shower heads. Sheets looked weird… grayish white if I may… I requested a sheet change and the sheets were much whiter. Second day into the room, I realize my bag that I left by the sink had a whole bunch of ants on it and as I look around the area, there are ants by the sink, a lot of them. I woke up with so many mosquito bites. But might be a mixture of bedbug bites and mosquito bites honestly based off of the other reviews. Where the line was drawn was when we saw a huge fast cockaroach in our room. I have a phobia of them and I flipped out. Nothing was comfortable about my room. I just couldn’t wait to leave. And let’s get to the food. The wings used to be so good but I came the second time and the wings are just not worth $20 USD! Just to put honey on the wings and serve it to us was crazy!! Breakfast wasn’t the same either. It was later brought to my attention that there was a different chef that hadn’t been there too long. But why the major differences? The air conditioner smacks you directly as you are laying down making it uncomfortable because you have this super cold air hitting your whole body. Please beware of room 230D I hope management reads this review and shuts this room down! I appreciate the efforts to change the room but it’s just too much after you’ve unpacked and you have to go up and down stairs and drive to a different area plus your friend was in the next cabin so the convenience was at risk too. My first time here I had the double bed suite and that room was a 5/5. This one bed suite? 0/5!!!!

My wife and I were just there celebrating her 60th birthday. I have to say I was a little nervous about the trip after reading some of the comments/reviews. I am happy to report we LOVED everything about the resort, and the island of San Pedro. Especially the people, I have never been treated so well, every employee was simply over the top courteous and kind. The food was delicious and inexpensive, the service was outstanding and the rooms were clean and comfortable! We spent a day at the private beach with a DJ, it was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. We enjoyed scooting around the island in our golf cart and met a ton of great people, especially at our favorite bar Carlos & Ernie's Runaway Bar! Special shout out to Ramayo!!

Our trip at the mahogany bay resort: Postives: great breakfast buffet many options to eat. Seafood buffet was always good. Very beautiful decor. Staff was very friendly and kind. Negatives: mosquitoes were terrible. Covered in mosquitoes rooms were not insulated. Very loud at night hearing all the carts and planes. Had to ask several times for new towels including water. They came to houseclean during the pouring rain unbelievable. Overcharged for many things and the beach was 20 minutes away.
