I highly recommend Mai Pen Rai Resort! It’s quite far from town, but totally worth it. The stunning views, beautiful scenery, and peaceful atmosphere will make you forget the hustle and bustle of city life. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The resort also has a restaurant with a great view and delicious food. My room was very clean, and all the necessary facilities were provided. I will definitely come back again!

We had a Wonderful stay here. You have a marvelous view of the sea from your room. Some bungalows are better than others but it's really worth it. Family bungalow are so nice and big ! But you don't have to be afraid of the strong noise of the waves. The access is quite complicated if you don't have your own vehicle. We suggest you rent at the city center to be free to move after. There is a taxi at 250thb/pers who can bring you to the hotel. Be careful it is very deep to access the hotel and the restaurant. There is no hot water, but you are in the heart of mother nature ❤️ The restaurant is quite good and the staff will help you carry your bags.

I'll be honest I was really looking forward to this, but, than sadet is so far from anything, nothing close by, no phone reception, to get to the rooms you have to walk through a cave, and 4 more minutes of walking on the stones, no one helped us carry our bags, I got wet and cut my leg. In day with the sun it's beautiful, but when you arrive at night it's terrifying, also had to cross it while there was a storm today and it's basically a death trap, the electricity stopped during the storm so no wifi, and no cell service. If you want to rent a motorbike you have to give your real passport, no where in Thailand I've had to give my actual passport, a copy and some deposit but never the real one, and here the lady didn't agree for it and showed us all the other people passports, real trustworthy. The room was leaking water from the ceiling during the rain. Overall, I don't recommend this especially not for the first time in ko phangan.

Only rented a motorbike there. They are the only rental place on that beach. On returning the bike they charged me extra for so called not filling it up enough. The meter was showing the same as when I took it. They overcharged for the fuel also. I would recommend checking out delivery of a bike from one of the rental companies on a nearby beach. Some do

I've been here a couple of times and never disappointed, still amazing view of the beach, good food and very friendly staff. Love the location because it's quiet and relaxing. A beautiful beach and little hidden gems like the waterfall and a mini beach nearby that you can walk to. DON'T MISS IT! The rooms are authentic thai style, well decorated and clean. Rental bikes are cheap and easy to get, which is a MUST if you want to explore Koh Phangan a little more. **Note** To get to some of the rooms is a bit of a walk so if you have a big suitcase or bag, you could ask for staff to help you to carry your baggage if needed but since in due to low staff, you many have to wait just a little bit. Please be kind and patience ☺️

It was so great to return after almost 30 years and find that Mai Pen Rai has the same friendly hospitality that I know and love of Thailand. There are many changes of course but the laid back charm of Than Sadet and the welcoming nature of the islanders is still there. I had the most beautiful room, with the best view high above the beach. A newly refurbished bungalow that I wish I could spend a month in! The food at the restaurant was delicious and I was so glad to get some mango and sticky rice. It was lovely to spend time on the beach and at the waterfall. Thanks everyone at Mai Pen Rai I had a wonderful time.

Location of these Bungalows is absolutely beautiful, you are in a hidden part of the island and you wake up every morning to the beautiful sea. Restaurant at this place is okay, workers and staff are really really nice, the food is okay the real downfall is the amount of flies when eating. It definitely puts you off eating here but the restaurant next door up the stairs is much nicer! We rented scooters and was very cheap to do so, There was transport organised on a taxi boat for full moon which was great, can be very expensive from the piers to get taxis to these bungalows so maybe call them first and see if they can get a taxi for you! Rooms are lovely very simple, spacious, they’re dark and have no aircon however we are able to sleep with just fan! Would recommend this place just disappointing about the restaurant however the location and private beach brings this place up in stars Everything we bought at restaurant went on the room bill which was great not having to constantly pay for bits

We had a really bad experience here! We arrived late at night and no one was there to do our check in or open the door. Because of that we stayed 2 hours alone in the dark and under a storm. The location is really far away from everywhere else and there are no taxis nearby. I really don’t recommend it! Please stay anywhere else
