Google
Nizza Bar and Restaurant is a fantastic spot in Frankfurt, especially if you're looking for great food with a view. The flatbreads were a standout — freshly made on the spot, warm, and packed with flavor. We also had their homemade lemon cake, which was wonderfully juicy and refreshing, the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. What really sets this place apart is the stunning view of the Main River. Whether you're there for a casual lunch or a relaxed evening drink, the riverside setting adds a special touch. A great place to unwind with good food and a beautiful atmosphere!

This restaurant presents a pleasant atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, accommodating both walk-ins and reservations. However, the dining experience was somewhat mixed. While the ambiance was intimate and enjoyable, the food proved to be inconsistent. The veal was described as "lackluster," and while the lamb I ordered was acceptable, it was a bit rarer than expected, though I generally prefer medium-rare meat. Unfortunately, the service significantly impacted our overall impression. Our server's demeanor was perceived as rude, which was quite surprising and detracted from the dining experience. In summary, the restaurant offers a nice setting, but the food quality and service left something to be desired.

My experience is very positive. Quality food with lovely view and atmosphere. Service was very good. The prices are reasonable compared to the quality and atmosphere and also compared to other cities around the world.

What really makes it shine is the riverside vibe: peaceful, scenic, and elegant on both sides of the bank. It’s the kind of spot that works perfectly for a relaxed evening meetup. Whether you're here for the food, the drinks, or just the view, you'll likely walk away happy. I had a flamkuchen with salmon and Aperol Spritz. Both were good.

The staff was well-trained and very welcoming, and the beautiful river view added to the experience. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. I expected a more classic approach, but it seemed to combine too many styles, making it feel unfocused.

Main Nizza has always been a very special and nice location. Great place with a nice view on the river Main and the south side of Frankfurt (Sachsenhausen) If you have a special occasion, this is the place to visit.

My food was good, but a little too salty. My friend d ordered risotto and it was hard. The chef said its suppose to be like that, but it was just not cooked properly. Our server was very sweet man.

Yelp
A nice posh restaurant on top and biergarten in the bottom along the Main River in Frankfurt. Classic German dishes, nice service and plenty of outdoor seating. It's also reasonably priced for Frankfurt downtown. I had the fish soup for starter which was excellent and flavorful :-) the Tafelspitz with green sauce was also very nice and the meat was super tender. I enjoyed my meal. Menu choices are good, service is good and the ambience is also lovely. A great place for a relaxing meal al fresco or inside. Glad I came here.

Yelp
So we broke the cardinal rule of thumb, which is to always make reservations in a foreign country no matter how slow it might be on a weekday night. So when we walked in and said we needed a table for four, they looked as us with a bit of "ugh damn Americans.." type of frustration. But understanding that it was out bad for not making ressies we were sorry and apologetic. Once we were seated we turned on that friendly charm and rapport building and we were back in biz! So to the food...the food was good however, for as upscale as they claimed to be, I didn't think it was a 5 star worthy place. If you are ever passing thru definitely stop by after making a ressie and enjoy a bottle of wine and try the cheese apps and schnitzel entree!

Yelp
Ok, the food is phenomenal! Now that that's out of the way, let us discuss why the three stars. First, Germany is the land of the never arriving check. Even after we asked and asked and asked, it still took forever for the check to make it to our party. When it did, they could not split it up but instead wanted us to divide it out and pay even amounts (even though some people's bill was more or less). Second, some members of our party asked for beer that never came. Third, the waitress brought eight bottles of water to the table without us asking for them, then expected us to pay for them; which in Germany water cost more than a beer, house, and vehicle combined (a little hyperbole but it does cost a lot more than beer). All these issues imparts a bad taste in my mouth, despite how good the food was. I'm not suggesting you go or not go. I'm just advising you that if you do, enjoy the food but watch for inconsistent service.

Yelp
So far my least favorite dining experience in Frankfurt. Although the food was good, the service left something to be desired. First the food. The seared tuna had a very nice flavor and texture and was cool but not cold which was very nice. The fresh salad had a variety of greens and was lightly but flavorfully dressed. The guacamole was a bit of a mystery but when combined in one bite with the salad and tuna was good. The boulliabase was spicy and good. So a solid 4 to 5 for food. I felt that as a single diner my service was limited. My dinner was served immediately after I received my water and glass of wine. I was then left waiting and waiting long after finishing all my water, wine, and food before I even saw my server again. I would have liked more to drink between my dinner and soup as I had finished it all before my soup arrived. Service was a 3. I did, though, appreciate that my server was able to put in an order for a small (rather than full) bowl of the fish soup. Also, I would not consider th8is a "casual" restaurant (as described to me) for dinner as most of the men were wearing suits and the women smartly dressed. I felt very out of place wearing a casual skirt and nice tshirt. They do take both cash and cards.

Yelp
I discovered MainNizza as i was on my was to Städel Museum, that sits just by the River Main. The restaurant has a tremendous Biergarten (beer garden) overlooking the river, and after a whole day sightseeing, what better way to end the day than traditional German food, such as Currywurst. I will tell you that the Currywurst found at Christmas Markets around the UK is mediocre in comparison to the real thing in Germany. Oh my, the Currywurst at MainNizza is absolutely delicious! Definitely worth a visit: if not only for the view.

Yelp
Super good, I am not a big fan of German food, but I was starving and it was definitely satisfying. My family got the beer and were feelin real good after

Yelp
Excellent place for lunch. Menu didn't have a wide variety of items but enough to choose from. Staff was excellent. They noticed my daughter not touching her plate and came to look on their own accord- the chicken was very undercooked. If you are nearby stop in here for lunch!

Yelp
HOLY SCHNITZEL! Wow, this place was awesome. Not only was the view from the balcony amazing, the food and service were as well. The schnitzel was a giant perfectly fried piece of veal. It came with a side of potato salad and cucumber salad. The flavors were outstanding. Well done team.

Yelp
Mainnizza Beer garden - when hot in the city, perfect place on Main river to take a break, drink a beer and eat something under the parasol! I ate Salmon Flamkuchen nomz, delish.

Yelp
I've been here two times and it's always been a great experience. It has nice views of the river and a great German menu. They embrace asparagus season and offer a special menu that time of year. It's a perfect spot for lunch, bright and sunny dining room. It's also very reasonably priced.

Yelp
I came to Frankfurt to enjoy my weekend. After having a nice meal at one of the German restaurants, I was craving a dessert. I looked on TripAdvisor on recommendations for dessert and mainnizza sounded like a good option. Online it said it closes at 1am and the kitchen at 10pm, it was 9:20 so we took a taxi to ensure we would get there before the kitchen closed. We got to the restaurant at 9:35ish pm and were told the kitchen was closed! When I tried to politely say, "oh, this is too bad, we came here craving for a desert and took a cab to ensure we would get here on time", the owner of the restaurant started attacking me verbally. He said, I quote "I am the owner here and the kitchen closes when I think it should close, I will not change the time online because I am the owner and I tell how it is." He was not only being rude with his words but also with his gestures, and was talking loudly and making me embarrassed. So my protection mode was turned on and I said "I will give you a review online as rude as your behavior right now." Then he got even more aggressive and continued yelling at me: "I am the boss and etc." to top it off, all of the waiters and waitresses came because he was yelling at me and one of them made the most racist comment I have ever heard. Not worth the visit, I so regretted taking the taxi to come to this place: spent money to be disrespected, be treated with racism, and to ruin a day that had been great in Frankfurt. Definitely do not recommend it.

Yelp
Great view of the Main River and the park setting. Had the wienerschitzel. Healthy portion of two large fillets. My friend had pot roast with boiled pork. Very good. Service was good and friendly. A little more dressy than we had prepared for (blue jeans and tee shirts) as we were originally looking for a bar. Beer was nice and cold and so was water. A nice plus. Good but not great.

Yelp
Came here in August and sat outside for dinner, great view of the river. The food was excellent, fresh, and really good. We also got a bottle of white wine which was delicious as well. I love restaurants with outdoor seatings and especially a beautiful view of the river! We were both really impressed. Our waitress wasn't around much so that was the annoying part because we kept having to call her over when we needed something but other than that I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Busy restaurant, weren't sure we were going to get in without reservations but the owner found a table for us! Very friendly owner and staff. The portions are a decent size and the quality of food is great! I ordered the chicken and it was very moist and tender. We didn't order any dessert but the owner made sure we had a frozen strawberry-vodka shot before we left. It was Delicious!! Would definitely go back :)

Yelp
When there isn't much to do, the nizza might be quite nice, but when I went there it was a busy day, it took me quite some time to get my order through and then the waiters got in an argument about who would prepare the food orders. About 20 minutes later somebody finally did prepare the food. Unprofessional to say the least, never again.

Diane S.

Yelp
I came back because I thought the food was good even though the service was less then stellar. This time I had the chicken but the service was terrible. Especially if you are American.

Caroline J.

Yelp
Unfriendly staff, food is not bad, good, but service is beneath everything: slow, unfriendly, not commercial
