This is not a 5 star hotel when compared to, for example, The Savoy, in London; but, it is a very good 4 star hotel. The breakfast is actually the best breakfast we have had at any hotel or resort, ever. The reason I gave 4 stars overall is our experience. I did not like the having to wait in a sitting room to get the room. It is not the luxury experience they think it is. We also had an issue with the room when we checked in, the entire 2nd floor was without power. Instead of raising us to a higher floor, they lowered us to the first floor. This meant no balcony and we could not keep the windows open because of smokers in the street. The room was good with a nice seating area, but the bathroom was weird with too little counter space, and a bench in the shower thst gets in your way. But, the toilet had a bidet feature and there was a drying rack on the wall which made sink washing some clothes easier. The biggest pet peeve we had was with the automation system, it was overly complex to turn on and off the lights and open the curtains. It was unnecessary. Did I mention the amazing breakfast? It makes everything else irrelevant and worth staying here. Overall, if you are in Paris and like the convenience of the Pont Neuf area, this is a very good hotel.

After spending hours researching the different areas in Paris we finally decided on this hotel given its proximity to the river (and therefore to areas such as the Latin quarter) and its overall central location. We made a great choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is in a lively area with numerous restaurants one or two minutes away. Most of them also had happy hours on a daily basis. It is extremely close to public transportation, making it very convenient to get around the city when you are tired of walking One thing to note is that there are a variety of room types that fall within a particular room category. We booked a deluxe double room. The room we received was on the fourth floor. I believe the room was room 403. It had a large king size bed, and a large bathroom with a double sink. It faced the courtyard, so it did not have much of a view but it was quiet and I loved it! (See photos of the courtyard). We were told we could move to a room with a balcony, which was in the same category, if one opened up. Rooms with balconies are on the second floor and the fifth floor. A room on the fifth floor with a balcony opened up so we planned to move however, when we saw the room, we decided to stay in our original room. The fifth floor balcony room was lovely but was much smaller. And the bed was a double bed. The bathroom only had a single sink and overall the room felt much smaller. It would be good if you were travelling solo. The balcony was lovely and faced the main street, but it did not have a chair or a table. I would recommend requesting the type of bed and whether you want a balcony or not in advance. The breakfast that was included in our room was very good. You can have freshly cooked eggs anyway you wanted them and/or you can choose things from the buffet (Pastries, fruit, fresh juices, coffee, and tea, cappuccinos, etc.)

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and it was such a wonderful experience! We booked an Executive King room that was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the street which added a nice ambiance. Our flight arrived very early in the morning and the staff offered for us to freshen up in the spa before spending the long day in Paris until our room was ready. The location is excellent and very close to restaurants and attractions, but still gives the small street feel. I would highly recommend this hotel!

I’ve stayed at Maison Albar Hotel Le Pont-Neuf twice now — first in January and then again in July — and I returned because I truly enjoyed my experience. The location is excellent, walking distance to so much of what makes Paris magical, and that alone makes it worth coming back. As an Amex Platinum cardholder, I appreciated the added perks, especially the €100 credit toward the hotel or spa. I used it for a facial at their spa, which was peaceful, clean, and completely empty when I visited — a hidden gem in the middle of Paris. The staff at the spa were kind, professional, and very gentle. The rooms are a great size, especially for Paris standards, and always impeccably clean. The housekeeping team is meticulous — they even took time to neatly reorganize my makeup items, which I really appreciated. The front desk staff was also helpful during both visits; when I needed a U.S. converter, they quickly arranged one for me without hassle. Breakfast is decent — nothing extraordinary, but it’s convenient and satisfying. What really stands out, though, is the service and atmosphere. The entire staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome each time. It’s not cheap, but it’s Paris — and for the comfort, service, and location, I’d say it’s absolutely worth it. Looking forward to staying again!

This is going to be more of a "thank you" than a review of the hotel...||My wife and I would like to thank everyone at the Maison Albar - Le Pont Neuf for making our recent stay so enjoyable and relaxing. Not our first time in Paris, but our first time at this hotel.||From the first moments:|- exchanging e-mails with Nicholas (a most efficient and helpful member of the Concierge team) to arrange taxi pickup from Gare du Nord;|- meeting the always-smiling Raphael at the front desk, who quickly offered us refreshments and checked us in without fuss.||To:|- enjoying the spa and meeting Claudiane and Audrey, two members of the fantastic spa team. We highly recommend the spa...we only had time for a massage but it was amazing.|- experiencing the bar and restaurant and its hard-working staff. The food was delicious and the ambiance relaxing.||Highlight has to be our daily interactions with the staff members - so very friendly! So a big THANK YOU to: Paul (my French teacher!), Xavier, Christopher, Raphael, Nicholas (and the other incredibly helpful team members whose names I did not get a chance to learn).||I suppose the highest compliment I can give is that we intend to stay here again the next time we are in Paris.||Practical info:|- location is very central in the 1st Arrondissement, close to Châtelet metro station (with access to several metro/RER lines), close to many restaurants, cafes, shopping, etc.|- we booked an "Executive Room" which was on the 2nd floor. You could hear the noise from the street, but we expected that. I am sure the noise level is much less on the higher floors.|- our room and bathroom was kept very clean and tidy by a very efficient Housekeeping team. We were fortunate we got to meet at least one member of the team: Sama. The spacious shower more than made up for the lack of a bathtub.

Great location, one stayed here twice now! The staff is extremely helpful! Special shout out to Elio and Rafael for their kindness and exceptional support! The breakfast buffet is one of the bests I’ve had for a hotel. 10/10 experience, will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
We arrived around noon for a one-night stay at this 5-star property located in the heart of Paris. We had a friendly staff member greet us at the door and bring us to a spot to sit while the staff came to check us in. The room wasn't ready (check in is 3) but when we returned our luggage was already upstairs in our room-402 While quite small, this sleek and modern room had a modern bathroom and shower with high-tech bidet-style toilet but only a single sink. There are an abundance of staff at the front desk but we never seemed to find the same person . We asked for our room temperature to be lowered as it was quite warm (23c about 73f) as we left for dinner but to our surprise it was even warmer (24 ~75!) when we returned. It seems so wasteful to have to open the window to cool the room during an energy shortage and especially problematic when spending over $500/nigh. We had to leave early for the airport so can't comment on breakfast. With everyone out traveling, traffic and airports have been crazy. For lovers of extra firm beds, you'll like this stiff futon-style mattress and hard flat pillows. Surprisingly for this level of hotel, the soundproofing was not what you might expect with noise from desks chairs sliding on hard wood flooring, footsteps above and in the halls but I usually travel with foam ear plugs so I adjusted. Probably wouldn't stay here again given tiny room, bed and lack of full in-room control over heat/AC. It's certainly stylish and in a good location but just not my style.

Yelp
Excellent service, convenience, amenities, and comfort were the main factors we considered when we booked with Maison Albar. There are a lot of other hotels in Paris, however this particular one stood out from the pack. Our inbound flight was delayed by over 24 hours leaving us with little time to explore Paris. The hotel concierge and staff were especially accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed to maximize our time. Arrival: Check-in was a breeze. We received our room key and a certificate for 2 complimentary glasses of champagne at their restaurant, Odette. Our concierge Harish immediately greeted us, brought a couple glasses of their detox water, and offered luggage assistance. He walked us through our room and the tech controls for controlling the curtains, temperature, skylight, and lighting. He even provided excellent recommendations on places to visit and tips to cut down on travel time. Room: Our room was clean and modern. We booked the Chambré 1923 room with a loft-style layout. The bathroom is located on the first level and features a Japanese heated toilet, rain shower head, and dual sinks. There's a small foyer entrance and wrap around stairs leading up to the bedroom. The bedroom has a breathtaking corner view of the city, including the Eiffel Tower. The floor to ceiling windows and skylight provides a ton of natural lighting. One of the great features of the room is the tech controls for curtains, skylight, lighting, and temperature. There's a dedicated wall control on the first floor and also a bedside iPad. There is also a complimentary Nespresso machine, coffee pods, and other condiments. Amenties/Services: The lobby has an espresso machine, mini candy bar, and detox water for guests. There's even a spa and swimming pool. The concierge service was top notch. Harish took care of us and ensured our taxis were on time, luggage was handled, briefed us on the points of interest near the hotel. The hotel staff always greets us with a smile and are eager to assist. This hotel comes highly recommended in my book. The service was phenomenal, the property was clean and modern, the centralized location makes it easy for us to visit all of our stops.

Yelp
Lovely hotel and staff was extremely pleasant and service oriented. Rooms were well designed and comfortable and housekeeping did a great job. iPad controls all the lights and automatic black out curtains. Free espresso by machine, tea, flavored water, and snacks are in the lobby at all times. Excellent storage in closet and location of hotel is perfect! Heated toilet/ bidet is amazing!

Yelp
This review is actually for the Maison AlBar (Champs-Elysées) Thank you everyone for making our first time to Paris a memorable visit. Dear Mohamed, Chimaa, Fatom, Andre', Fabian, Jean-Louis and all the housekeeping staff, You are all the true meaning to hospitality. You made our vacation great and unforgettable. When we return to Paris there will not be any other place to stay in other than Maison AlBar Horel. Thank you.

Yelp
We stayed in this hotel for two weeks and I would definitely stay here again because of its convenient location, customer service and cleanliness. One really nice touch, the staff gave my daughter an adorable teddy bear and kid-sized bathrobe and slippers upon arrival. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to Le Marais, Pont Neuf, The Louvre, Centre Pompidou, Les Halles, Notre Dame, etc. There are also many nice restaurants and boulangerie within a couple blocks on Rue St Honore. The hotel staff was really pleasant and easily helped people of many nationalities (most spoke English fluently). When we had issues they were generally quick to fix them. The room was, for the most part, really comfortable. The mattress was soft, the sheets were high quality, the bathroom was large and had a nice shower and Toto toilet. There's also a small pool on the lower level which my daughter loved. It's generally occupied by honeymooners and small, splashy kids. These were not dealbreakers, but minor annoyances: * there were not enough towel hooks in the bathroom so we had to hang our towels off the window frame * There was only a small closet for clothing, no drawers at all so we ended up living out of our suitcases for two weeks * The lights and air conditioning are controlled by ipad, but the interface didn't always work and the ipad battery ran out. * We were there during a heatwave and the room was warmish even with the air conditioning on. Although I was able to make the air conditioning slightly colder, it always reverted back to the warmer setting after about 10 minutes. It wasn't horrible, considering that most of Paris doesn't have air conditioning at all, but an improvement here would be great. * Our TV was left on by someone who came into our room while we were out (we didn't ask for cleaning that day and no cleaning was done) * The curtain kept falling off its runner and although we requested that it be fixed, no one did and I ended up fixing it myself. * The street noise was loud, until midnight from the bistro (Mimosa) a few doors down, and from the garbage trucks and construction starting at 6:15 am. I suggest bringing earplugs and an eye mask, it probably saved my vacation!

Yelp
Extremely disappointing experience. Advertised and priced as 5 star hotel. However they overbooked us even though we had prepaid. As a result we stayed in a room far smaller than what we paid for. The staff (other than the concierge) is really unhelpful. They don't even answer the telephone. Most motels in the US have better service.

Yelp
AMAZING! There aren't better words to describe my experience at the Le Pont-Neuf (same hotel, they just changed the name). Paris in itself surprised I expected an "okay" trip due to having heard horror stories of the visits friends had to the city. But I am extremely glad to have made such vacation plans and I couldn't have decided on a better choice of place to stay. The staff is sweet and attentive, a key star during our stay was Harish, who made our itinerary planning a breeze and was able to secure tix for us to visit the Eiffel Tower, Catacombs tour, Seine River cruise, and Versailles tour (all express pass tix leaving enough time to enjoy the respective attraction and to also explore the city). The room is spacious and we felt comfortable during our visit enough space to open our luggage when we needed something we hadn't already unpacked and stored in the closet and the bathroom is extremely spacious. They also have Toto toilets and that in itself justifies the five stars at least for me. Overall very cute hotel, I would stay here again no questions asked maybe even try out their scenic room with the panoramic view of the city; very attentive and sweet staff who are there to help and ensure you have a great experience in Paris and I loved the surrounding neighborhood/area, feeling perfectly safe to walk around during day and night with a small mall near by, restaurants back to back on the same block and forward and minutes of a walk from the louvre. Thank you staff of the Maison Albar Le Pont-Neuf you are one of the reasons we fell in love with Paris!!!

Yelp
When staying in Paris in August one needs AC. This hotel says they have it, but what they don't tell you is that the front desk controls the temperature. If you leave your room, the AC is turned off. Once you're asleep, they turn the AC off. I was here 5 nights, complained every day, and each day I was assured they'd keep the temp down. They failed. Oh, and if you want to sleep in on your holiday, this isn't the hotel for you. Housekeeping knocks until you respond every morning at 8:00. The room was well appointed and the staff was friendly.
