"This affordable 38-room hotel on a bustling Old Quarter street is as vibrant as its surroundings. Painted iron tables and chairs out front enable guests to soak in the rich street life—watch roadside food hawkers sell their wares and locals and visitors chow down at small sidewalk stations. The jazzy lobby has a parquet ceiling that resembles a giant chessboard, an eclectic mix of furniture, and a front desk with an intricately carved wooden backdrop. Rooms are a step above basic yet comfortable, decorated in mostly white hues and shying away from ornamentation, with glossy wood floors, feather mattresses, and glass-covered dressing tables. Get settled, then follow resident Hanoians to the restaurants and bars that bustle nearby."

Accommodation and food are great. Not all staff can understand and speak English though, which is just fine because more or less they know what you need. Had problem with having coffee though. Twice I was served with a cold one. Also, fresh milk for tea or coffee is probably unheard of. I was always offered condensed milk. Great place to stay though as it's just a few steps away from restaurants, spa and shops.

Better places to stay in Hanoi. You'll get mixed service, some off the staff were extraordinarily friendly, some not. Location is convenient but its far too close to the party area in the old quarter, you can hear the loud music until 4am. Room wasn't clean, mainly the bathroom, there seemed to be a mosquito problem and you can smell mold/moisture in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet is small but decent. There are MANY better places to stay in the old quarter at this price point.

Cozy hotel with good service located on the lively Old Quarter of Hanoi. Some rooms may be more cramped than others. Breakfast buffet is top notch, but make sure to get there before the food starts running out. Building is old and located right next to a night club (pounding music all night), so if you plan on sleeping, bring your earplugs.

A hotel with nice staff, nice room and nice service. Staffs are very patient : they show us where to play, to eat and to buy things with the rite price and also guide us to any room we want to see to pick up the rite room we want & need in the middle of the night ( around 2am ). About the room, its a standard room with bed, mirrored wardrobe, frigde, dressing table and toilet which is super clean & well maintenanced. Everything is super duper nice, except one thing : the bar/club next door. They play louded music evering single night from 8pm til 4am even the rule doesnt allow that. I rent a room here and cant sleep anynight since friday to next monday. What a horrible experience. In conclusion, its a good hotel but places in a wrong place.

Nice hotel located in the old quarter on a busy and happening night Street in Hanoi. Lovely and friendly staff, clean room with all the required basic stuff and prompt service on call. Breakfast was very good and the hotel kept our luggages for two days even after vacating the rooms for our trip to Halong bay.

My last night of HaLong bay & Hanoi tour was not happy. Our group of 20+ were booked at Anise hotel. For some reason, we were transferred to this Maison Hanoi hotel. I was so disappointed with the quality and cleanliness of the room. The has no access at the bedroom, the bath town is terrible tear see attached pictures. Three stars for this hotel is overrated. It is not even 2 stars as I rated. However, the staffs were so friendly and helpful.

We stayed there for one night as part of a tour. The staff were very helpful when I requested an airport transfer via email a few weeks earlier. The rooms are small, breakfast was good, and it is close to the bustling nightlife. However, compared to South African hotels, it does not rank very highly, hence only a 3.

Noisy and untidy place. We saw 3 different rooms, everyone of a different cathegory. None better than 2 stars. Eating room for the hotel of the one third size. Stuff very friendly - should look for the job in a better one.
