Our trip didn’t start quite as planned, but the staff at Maison d’Anthouard went above and beyond to turn things around for us. Maxim, in particular, was an absolute standout. From the moment we arrived, he went out of his way to ensure our stay was seamless and enjoyable. His service was nothing short of exceptional—not only did he take great care of us at the hotel and restaurant, but he also provided invaluable recommendations for exploring the city. Being a local, Maxim has a wealth of knowledge, which he shares with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. His attentiveness, thoughtfulness, and warm demeanor truly made our stay unforgettable.

Maison D'Anthouard was an acceptable hotel near Lyons. It has ample free parking. There is no elevator in keeping with the historic nature of the house, so the staff will assist with taking your luggage to the room. The beds are comfortable, with fine linens. The grounds are immaculately kept. The staff is helpful -- When our shower overflowed from a clogged drain, the poor breakfast chef who was all alone, scrambled to find us a key to another room so we could finish the shower. Overall, the hotel was overpriced and overrated, but offered a good location.

A very nice place to stay, the staff are amazingly sympathetic and very professional. If you like playing Boules they have some for you with a field dedicated to it. The breakfast also is amazing, with a large choice of offers. The slightly annoying thing about it, is the glass window door in the bedroom, you can literally see your partner doing his/her business when you're in bed.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a very old mansion. Rooms are big and bright, contemporary styling, high ceilings. Parking is free unless you’d want to charge your electric vehicle. The hotel also resides a restaurant with seating in the courtyard of the mansion. French cuisine both classic and refreshing.

We stayed at the place when traveling through Lyon. It is a very nice house surrounded by a wonderful garden. Surveilled parking inside the estate walls is great during the stay. |Unfortunately the estate resides between the motorway and a frequented local road. Although there is not much noise it made us feel surrounded by traffic. Service was good but not very welcoming. The lady at reception complained loudly about work with one of her peers and staff stood everywhere smoking close to the house. The room was nice but rather on the smaller side. In contrast the bathroom was big but the shower not crystal clean. |Breakfast was a joy with fresh juices and a good selection of fresh food.

After two nights here I would have considered the staff here friends. Beautiful place to stay and top tier service. Our room opened up into the courtyard, where we could quickly grab a drink and sit outside our room. Really something special at a good rate.

We stayed here with our two boys (4&5) on our way back to the UK. The hotel is beautifully presented and nicely atmospheric. The setting is delightful and an oasis In the middle of Ecully, a west Lyon village. The room (junior suite) was well appointed and a nice size, with doors opening into the patio garden area. ||The food was excellent and my wife as a vegetarian was well catered for.||The main highlight was the staff and Breakfast, our boys were made to feel very special by the lovely team, who even gave us some treats for the long road ahead. It felt like staying with friends who had a very nice house. Bacon and eggs were delicious. ||We will be back ||||

Super building and grounds. Smart comfortable room with AC. However, this is a B&B not a hotel and so somewhat over-priced. Arrived 7:30 pm on a Sunday. No food on offer - on site restaurant is closed. There is a bar open till 10:30 pm so was able to get beer. The two staff on site were very nice and rustled up some bread and butter for us. They both left at 10:30pm, locking up the bar and communal areas. At least with a B&B the hosts would be on site. Has EV charging (for a fee) but if arriving by car be careful on the entrance - my car grounded out on the hump through the gate (which is on a road corner so a bit of a gamble with the traffic on the way out!)

The food was rather bland. The swordfish was overcooked and served with rice. Nothing special about the main plat stood out. The appetizer of mushrooms was savory. During the summer, the restaurant serves dinner under a canvas awning. The outside lighting and overall atmosphere is really nice. Service was attentive and helpful.
