MAISON DAUPHINE

The most chic stay in Aix! We were here two night, thinking staying here a month would be ideal. Véronique is the most wonderful host - she has created a beautiful, serene guest house. Our room on the first floor, Brazil, had everything: perfectly appointed kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine and clothes washer, relaxing bed with high quality bedding, large shower with plenty of hot water. Fresh breakfast items were delivered every day. A perfect stay!! Merci, Véronique!

We loved our stay at Maison Dauphine! Location was perfect - so close to everything in Aix yet so quiet. Bed was the most comfortable one I slept on in our entire trip and blackout shades made for a great night’s sleep. Véronique was a lovely hostess and stocked the kitchen with a few snacks and coffee pods. She was excellent with communication both before and during the stay. Layout in the bathroom and steps up to the kitchen are a bit unusual, but it didn’t bother us. (Guessing it was done to maximize the space.) Highly recommend.

The apartment was beautifully renovated, full of character and furnished with quality furniture and fittings. It was ideally located in the centre of Aix in the old part of town. We arrived during a heatwave so it was great to have airconditioning in good working order. ||Veronique was available to assist when needed and made some great restaurant recommendations. We will certainly return to Maison Dauphine next time we visit Aix.

Everything about our stay was excellent. The location is ideal, close to restaurants but on a quiet street. The accommodations are quite chic, but also very comfortable. And Veronique! She did so many things for us that made our stay outstanding. We have stayed at Maison Dauphine before, and continue to highly recommend it!

The property houses three separate apartments, each with their own unique design. The property is located within five minutes from the Cours Mirabeau avenue and one of the major arteries of Aix-en-Provence. It is also less than a ten minute walk from the centre station. Our apartment was clean with all necessary amenities and more. We enjoyed the use of the washing machine! Veronique, our host, was kind and helpful. We recommend this property.

If you are looking for an authentic stay in the heart of Aix, this is the place. From the moment you step into the historic one-bedroom apartment (built, we're told, in 1655) and open its windows, you will immediately experience the sights and sounds of the city as would any resident. The apartments are perhaps 50 steps away from Aix's historic center, the Quatre-Dauphins fountain, and a two-minute walk from Cours Mirabeau. Our apartment was very comfortable with a modern kitchen -- including a much-welcomed clothes washer -- and the best shower. The support we received from host Véronique was impeccable.

We stayed nine nights at Maison Dauphine and it was truly the perfect home in Aix. Our spacious and immaculate top floor apartment was so cozy and pleasant to come back to on the few rainy spring days we had. And since we were high up, we could leave our windows open for fresh air on sunny days. The bed was very comfortable and actually bigger than US queen sized beds; all the linens are high end; the living room has a new big cushy sofa, and the bathroom and kitchen are up to date, very clean, and well equipped. We so much appreciated the clothes washer since we travel light with only carry on luggage.||As others have said, the location can't be beat. The charming square with the famous dolphin fountain was very quiet, but all the best of Aix is a walkable few blocks away. Don't miss the wonderful food markets. Having a kitchen allows you to indulge in Provence's delectable produce. And the substantial breakfast delivered to our room each day was a real treat.||Veronique is just the best host ever. She was very responsive via email during the booking process, patiently rearranged our reservation when our dates had to change, and went FAR out of her way to assist us in a travel problem that otherwise might have ruined our trip. We are so grateful for all she did.||We travel internationally several times a year and this was one of our best hotel/apartment stays ever. I highly recommend Maison Dauphin.

We had a very nice family vacation. The host very very friendly, accommodating and responsive. Helped us book reservations etc. the room is very spacious, clean, tastefully decorated. The location is right at the center of the town. Highly recommend
