Would give zero stars if I could. I came into this salon with heavily damaged hair, desperately seeking professional guidance. Instead, my hair was fried off. Despite being courteous, patient, and reasonable, they are brushing me off and refusing to attempt to resolve the matter with me, simply offering free product. I have now requested a full refund and have heard no response. These photos speak for themselves, but here is the full story.
I am from out of town and decided to treat myself and get my hair fixed up, as I had been doing it myself for months. I was about fifteen minutes late for my apt due to unfamiliarity with the heavy traffic flow and difficulty finding the salon. I called them ahead of time and was more than happy to wait for the 15 minutes it took for the stylist (Jac) to finish another client. When we finally sat down together, I fully explained my history of bleaching my platinum hair myself, and tried to express that I was placing myself at the mercy of her expertise. I said that I wasn't sure if I needed overall correction, just a root touch up, or what. She takes a look at my hair and says she'll fix me up. Great! She is the professional. This is exactly why I'm here. She begins by applying bleach to my roots, and at this point I still don't know exactly what the plan is. I ask "are we doing the whole thing?" And she goes "Oh yeah!" Wonderful! Again, this is why I am here. She knows what she is doing. She finishes my roots and sticks me under a heat lamp, then applies a lightening treatment to the rest of my hair followed by more time under the lamp. When my hair is washed out I can tell that it's fragile and I mention this to Jac. She responds "yep, we still need to do the keratin treatment and it'll be a lot better!" Still entirely confident in the years of experience that this stylist has accrued, I push my misgivings aside.
So she does the keratin treatment and toner and says that she'll have another stylist give me a blow out. I wasn't terribly certain of the wisdom of brushing and blow drying my hair at this point, and I mention that I have a more natural wave. So she sticks me under the power dryer(I was charged $27 for this) I shouldn't have, but I paid and left. Throughout the day I pulled out more and more of my hair.
I called first thing the next day (a Sunday) and Brittany was nice enough to answer despite technically being closed. She was very sympathetic and assured me that they would work with me to get my money back. She offered to have me come in to look at it and send me off with free product, but this was the last day of my vacation and I had to leave by noon. I explained this to her and she was quite understanding, promising that I would hear back from her boss the next day. I receive a voicemail from the salon the next day trying to make an apt for someone else. I call back and explain and also ask to speak to a manager. The woman on the phone, Beth, says she is one and so I begin to explain. She cuts me off saying "I spoke to Jac and Nicolle and they said your hair was already pretty damaged when you came in" at this point I can see where this is going. She continues and says that this is what I said I wanted and at this point it's between the stylist and the owner and there is nothing she can do for me. I would hear back the next day (Tuesday). I didn't. Shocker. So I emailed them, again, politely explaining the situation. I received an email back from Beth advising me that I may use Olaplex "every day if it's that bad" and saying they could send me more if I'd like. That was it. I sent another, extended email back expressing that I had hoped to speak directly with someone who could help me resolve this, and that the only resolution I am now comfortable with is a full refund. I doubt I will see a dime of my money back, nor hear back from the salon again. Go somewhere else.
