The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, even compared to Taiwan's baseline warmth and helpfulness. The breakfast buffet is quite reasonable, including a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, clearly labelled. The rooms are fine -- bathroom is good, beds are good, closet space is good. The air conditioning is effective but quiet and gentle. Wi-Fi in our room was great, though it was less reliable in the lobby.
The hotel is near a night market and also near some attractions, such as the Museum Of Old Taiwan Tiles and a park featuring old narrow-gauge trains. There is a good density of the all-important 7-Eleven stores. As of 2025 there is a solid Indian restaurant nearby (Chef's Cap).
If I were to make a suggestion: it would be great if it were possible to increase the number of washers and/or dryers. And personally I think it might be nice if it were possible to borrow a folding drying rack -- some people prefer "line drying", and it would also reduce pressure on the dryers.
