Maison d'Igor - Hôtel & Restaurant

I was here for business lunch only. Therefore i can't comment on rooms. The restaurant is nice and well decorated. The place is cosy and you feel relax inside the restaurant. The building is nice also and they have a nice garden. The menu is good and the food is tasty. The variety of food.is also good. They have interesting starter and good selection of dessret. The staff are friendly, nice and helpful.

I stayed here after a business meeting in Geneva. The old house belonged once to Stravinski and consists only of 8 hotel rooms. Every rooms has its own special design with high-end finish. Very calm location next to a park at the lake.||Dinner in the restaurant was haute-cuisine style - very recommended. The breakfast was French-inspired and due to the low amount of rooms served in a very private style.||Lovely boutique hotel if you want to enjoy privacy and good food. The team running it, shall also be highlighted very positive.

The hotel is located ideally in Morges, 2 minutes walk from the center and 1 minute from the lakeside. The rooms are tasteful and have all the amenities a traveller would ask. Breakfast has a very good variety and the managers were very nice to take care of some specific requests we had. In general the personnel are very polite and helpful. We stayed for 12 days during the christmas holidays and it was an excellent experience. We were very pleasantly surprised from the care and the personalised service. We will be definetely back.

During a recent trip to Switzerland we had a recommendation to stay at La Maison d'Igor whilst visiting the local area. The hotel occupies a nice spot in between the local busy streets of Morges and is a few minutes walk from Lake Geneva. The ground floor is very small and there is a terrace and garden to the rear. The room was nicely decorated and the bed comfortable. I needed to shave and found that the wash basin was so small I could hardly cup my hands together to splash water on my face. There was also no way to keep water in the basin as there was no plug. The middle of the room was dominated by a large box structure which housed the shower and the loo which meant you continually had to walk around it every time you wanted to move anywhere in the room. This, coupled with the sloping ceilings of the room meant you continually had to stoop so as to not knock your head. Breakfast in the morning was poor. A rather surly waitress plonked a couple of croissants on the table and enquired whether we took butter. The butter was plonked down a bit later. The selection of food to eat was very limited compared to other Swiss hotels we have stayed in. All in all a very disappointing stay and I am sure you could find better in this area.

La Maison d'Igor was without a doubt the best hotel I have stayed in. The room was wonderful, simple yet luxurious, furnished with incredible taste and extremely comfortable. The staff made every moment of our stay enjoyable and comfortable with their friendliness and readiness to meet our every need. The food was also fantastic, great Italian dinners in a romantic atmosphere.||Overall a superb experience and we cannot wait to come back.

Many years back we have lived in Morges. We came back to say hello! La Maison d’Igor found our attraction. We did not know the place before. Wonderful rooms, very delicious food, nice but expensive wines. A great stay! |Only thing... if you are not first at the breakfast buffet, you might not find a refill of everything and you have to live with what js left. That should not happen one hour prior closing the buffet.

This beautifully renovated stately mansion offered a very comfortable cozy room, great shower, unique honey-essence bath products, Swiss-style breakfast (with delicious spreads including a kiwi jam that might just be my top reason for returning), plentiful coffee and friendly service. Sadly, my winter-time visit didn't allow me to enjoy the garden, and plans didn't allow me to try the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Would like to next time! This hotel is very well-situated just a block off the lake and town center, a short walk from the train station. Maison d'Igor will be my preferred hotel for visits in or near Morges going forward.

Our family, from around the world, have just returned from a four day visit to Lausanne for the Triathlon world championships. We decided to stay in Morges as it was better value and quieter than Lausanne, the train connections are so quick and frequent that travel was not a problem. The little hotel was a wonderful find. The staff were all lovely and helpful even finding a lockable room for my son to keep his very precious triathlon bike in. The rooms were all different with a mixture of decor - our huge, black and white bathroom had an artificial, life sized zebra head on the wall! The beds and pillows were very comfortable.|Breakfast consisted of croissants, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, cold meat, cheese and home grown tomatoes. There is a lovely terrace outside to eat, if the weather is clement.|There is a small Italian Restaurant at the hotel (it is run separately to the hotel by a delightful Italian young man) which is fairly good but not cheap (nothing is in Switzerland).|Overall, we had a memorable stay and thoroughly enjoyed the Swiss hospitality.
