Lovely bed and breakfast outside the national park. We stayed in one of the units in back that had a washer and dryer. Perfect after many days of hiking. Excellent service, comfortable/clean room, tasty breakfasts and great view of sunset from the porch. Highly recommend!

Google
Really a 4.5 rating. The view from my little patio was nice, but I spent more time on the front patio which had a wonderful view of the water. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice, however the upholstered chairs in my room were not comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and all of the people working here were awesome.

My wife and I stayed at Maison Fiset House for three nights in late September on the seventh leg of our Canada Maritimes road trip. We arrived mid-afternoon and we received a very warm welcome and were given guidance about our room as well as some tips on places to eat locally.||Our room was number 2 - called ‘Le Fiset’. It was situated on the ground floor to the rear of the main house. It had been adapted to be the accessible room and as such it was particularly spacious. As well as the queen sized bed there were two comfortable arm chairs, a desk with a wooden chair and a mini-fridge. On top of the fridge there was a Keurig coffee pod maker. We found the bed to be very comfortable and we slept warmly. The room had plenty of heating and cooling options, most notably a highly efficient air conditioning unit. We tended to open a window to cool the room down a little as the room was rather warm for us at night. The bathroom had a walk in open shower with hand rails and a seat. There was plenty of room in the bathroom - it was well designed for our requirements and would be very beneficial to guests with physical disabilities. The towels were soft and fluffy as were the towelling robes.||Two slight drawbacks we encountered - it was very easy to hear the other guests’ conversation next door as the connecting door did not provide an effective barrier to sound transmission. We tried to be as quiet as possible so that we did not impact on them. The other was the internet which was mostly slow and sometimes difficult to access.||The breakfasts provided were described as ‘continental’. There were breads, waffles and English muffins to toast. There were a couple of cereals and gluten free granola. A fresh fruit cocktail was available as well as a choice of juices. There was a cooked option - one day it was mini-omelettes with sausage. There was a kettle in the breakfast room which we made good use of to fill our flasks for our days out.||This bed and breakfast accommodation has been ideally located to explore the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It was very easy to buy fuel locally for the car and to pick up groceries in the well equipped Co-op which was a very short walk away. There were a number of restaurants within a short drive and most of the menus were available at reception.||My wife and I were very impressed by all the kindness and good humour of everyone we met at Maison Fiset House. The culture was one of the finest hospitality and helpfulness.

We were travelling the Cabot Trail and decided to stop for the night. Saw this adorable in and decided to see if they had a room. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk lady. We were so lucky to get the last room. The room was amazing and so comfortable. We received great advice on we’re to go for dinner. When we came back to find the nice front desk lady and the housekeeper and two friends playing the most amazing music. Soon every person stay we’re down listen for the evening. The next morning we were served a delicious breakfast. If you are going to Chéticamp strongly recommend this as your place to stay.

What a beautiful place to stay! Perfect location, impeccably clean, right on the waterfront, safe, easy on-site parking, great breakfast, beautiful room. We could have sat in the comfortable Adirondack chairs on the front deck overlooking the waterfront for a week. We had Le Buttereau room which was very, very nice. But our favorite part of Maison Fiset was Nadine the manager. Nadine helped us with everything from check-in, to restaurant and local activity suggestions, breakfast, etc. She truly was a wonderful host and Maison Fiset is very lucky to have her!

Google
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Great rooms, modern and recently upgraded, very comfortable. Access to shops and restaurants close by and of course, youre right off the ocean so how can you complain? Book well in advance as this is a tourist town and attracts many visitors who are making their way through to the Cabot Trail.

Yelp
Great location in Cheticamp and bade for the west side of the Cabot Trail on the west side of the island. Lyne, the manager, was very hospitable. Because of tire issues, we arrived very late - after 8 p.m. Lyne stayed and greeted us on arrival. She was pleasant, accommodating, and recommended a place that would be open for dinner late (places are not open very late). The room was beautiful and nicely appointed. It was a pretty small room, but it made good use of space. It was very clean. The bed was very comfortable with nice, soft linens. There was also good temperature control and the room was quiet. The room also had a nice balcony that would be nice to view sunsets. There was plenty of parking and the access in the back made it real easy to unload/load the car. You order breakfast when you check-in. The breakfast was pretty good and very filling which was good as we headed out on the Cabot Trail. Very nice B&B.
