Great Inn experience. They have done an excellent job of preserving the old and combining with the new. Clean room with enough space and amenities for 2. We used the chairs out on front patio overlooking the water for a night cap and enjoying coffee the next morning. The fresh breakfast treats were awesome. Staff is supper friendly and attentive......even came and checked on us on the patio to freshen our coffee. We have already recommended this to others and will make a point of staying here again next time we tour Cape Breton.

Spent one evening /night at Maison Fiset and what a pleasant surprise this B&B was! We had a room on the front with a private balcony (unfortunately, the weather was cool, very windy and stormy). The bed was very comfortable, the shower small but great water pressure and the common areas served as a nice gathering spot. ||We went to dinner at a local establishment that had live music that night only to return to the inn to find live music being played In the common area! What a treat!!! Acoustical guitars, the Irish flute and great vocals…we thoroughly enjoyed this unexpected pleasure.||Highly recommend this lodging option if you’re traveling the Cabot Trail!

We had an amazing stay here! The wheelchair accessible room had a wonderful large bathroom. The included breakfast was delicious. Our room had an outdoor sitting area that faced toward the water. The day we arrived there was live music on the patio where we had so much fun chatting with the manager & the owners. All such nice people. We will definitely stay here again should we be in Cheticamp! This was our favourite stay on our road trip & we highly recommend staying here.

We typically aren't B & B people so I was a little nervous about this stay but was pleasantly surprised. It is more like a little boutique hotel. There are at least 8 rooms and has staff like a hotel. Comfy beds, cute little rooms each with its own bathroom. We stayed in the suite with the deck and jet tub and it was perfect. I believe the house was full but I didn't hear another guest. I wish we could have stayed 2 nights instead of one. Ample parking in the back. The only downfall is that the road runs along the ocean so almost every 'oceanfront' property in Cheticamp is actually fronted by the busy Cabot Trail but this was one of the nicest places with a beautiful sunset view.

Beautiful and well maintained charter Inn in the heart of charming Cheticamp. Our suite (L’Isle to Cheticamp) was amazing with a beautiful upper deck overlooking the ocean and sunsets. Perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and take in the view. Breakfast which was included was amazing and so much variety. The staff were exceptional and we would definitely stay again

Perhaps our expectations were set too high based on the number of 5 star reviews the Maison Fiset has received, but we were very disappointed with this property, where we spent three nights on a recent trip to Nova Scotia.|We booked the La Plage A – described as “a touch of maritime luxury”. While the building was new, or recently refurbished, and impeccably clean, it was situated at the rear of the parking lot behind the main house. The view was of the parking lot, picture attached. Not what we were expecting from a “luxury” five star rated property.|The view from the main house was of the Cheticamp harbor, which was more pleasant than the parking lot, but partially obstructed by unsightly grocery and building materials stores across the street and a few hundred meters north of the Maison Fiset. These structures effectively blocked any view of the harbor opening to the sea.|Our unit had a strong, musty smell, which could be partially mitigated only by leaving the windows open all day and night, which created a different set of issues. Nadine, the manager, suggested we leave all windows closed and just run the a/c.. this did not work at all.|The breakfast buffet was average at best, homemade scones and muffins were quite good, but other offerings were limited|Nadine and Hillary proved to be excellent hosts, friendly, welcoming, helpful and responsive, but the rest of the experience fell far short of expectations. |We would definitely not stay at the Maison Fiset again

Quaint ---but TOO QUAINT only because of the queen room size. OUTSTANDING customer service. Location was good. We had a queen room and it was so overcrowded. When someone was sitting at the desk, you had about 12" between the chair and bed to access the small patio. The person at the desk had to move or one had to climb onto and over the bed. There was only room for one piece of luggage to be open. The bed was comfy and because of space, I just wanted to stay there!||The common areas were great and the staff amazing. If we ever return, it will only be for a KING ROOM which from the description/photos, is about twice the size of the queen.

Very warm and welcoming staff. Beautifully appointed room with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Gorgeous building overlooking the water, with a large front deck for lounging and enjoying a glass of wine. Great location. Plenty of parking. ||Our stay here has been a real highlight of our trip.

Yelp
Great location in Cheticamp and bade for the west side of the Cabot Trail on the west side of the island. Lyne, the manager, was very hospitable. Because of tire issues, we arrived very late - after 8 p.m. Lyne stayed and greeted us on arrival. She was pleasant, accommodating, and recommended a place that would be open for dinner late (places are not open very late). The room was beautiful and nicely appointed. It was a pretty small room, but it made good use of space. It was very clean. The bed was very comfortable with nice, soft linens. There was also good temperature control and the room was quiet. The room also had a nice balcony that would be nice to view sunsets. There was plenty of parking and the access in the back made it real easy to unload/load the car. You order breakfast when you check-in. The breakfast was pretty good and very filling which was good as we headed out on the Cabot Trail. Very nice B&B.
