We originally booked the green room, which looked comfortable and well equipped. We immediately loved the location and quirky decor and asked Karine (the friendly host/receptionist who was contactable at all times via WhatsApp, and very responsive) if we could extend our stay by two days. The larger Yellow room was available so we transferred to that one. It was enormous, extremely comfortable. Very much a suite rather than a room, with a huge bathroom and a great shower. The room was really clean. The air conditioning was brilliant, and the room is light and airy with multiple windows with traditional wooden shutters. We really loved our stay at Maison Fredon, which is conveniently located for the St Michel area of Bordeaux.||Some info you may find useful - secure parking is available a few hundred metres away at Parking Saliniere. Or you can park on the street. Maison Fredon is tucked down a narrow road opposite La Lupina restaurant. We didn’t find it noisy, although you may hear the restaurant tables being put away after evening service. Breakfast isn’t offered but there’s a Nespresso machine in the room and great boulangeries nearby - we got our own. ||We hope to return, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay somewhere a bit more individual.
