Maison Gorey

We used the Maison Gorey Hotel as our base on Jersey for the week and found it most comfortable. We found the location quiet and the breakfast each morning excellent. The staff were very helpful. One big thing in our favour was that there was a microwave, crockery and cutlery whereby you could buy ready meals at nearby shops and cook them on site rather than forking out for an expensive meal each evening. The location is handy for local buses into St Helier. Service 1, 1A and 2 all run to the centre and there can be as many as seven an hour. Morrisons Daily store only 100 metres away. Also fish and chip shop only 200 metres away.

I loved this hotel. The staff are really helpful and friendly. It was very clean and the beds are really comfortable. Breakfast was everything you need , cooked well and all was fresh. |The hotel was close to Gorey so you can easily walk to restaurants and bars . Yet far enough away so as not to feel touristy. |It does not have a lift but flights of stairs are fairly short with good rails. Book a ground floor room if stairs are not your thing.|We loved it and would definitely return.

Here’s an edited version of your review: This is a small hotel in a quiet area that offers incredible value for the money. I’ve stayed here a few times over the past couple of years, mostly with my boyfriend. The hotel is located in a peaceful neighborhood, and the rooms are always very clean, equipped with a fridge—a great bonus in the summer. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is adequate. While the hotel doesn’t serve lunch or dinner, there are plenty of local restaurants just a short walk away. For those on a budget, there’s a Morrisons store almost next door and a Co-op not far off. The beach is less than a 10-minute walk away and is usually quiet. For those who love Jersey ice cream, there’s an ice cream van by the beach that serves some of the best ice cream around—definitely worth trying!

Lovely hotel with friendly staff and updated rooms. Would highly recommend!

This hotel is in a little village just a stones throw from the beach. ||It has friendly welcoming staff and large clean rooms. Bathroom was spotless and roomy. ||Our only gripe was as its an older building there's no aircon and although they provide a fan the room still gets quite warm. We did have high temps though during our week. ||Breakfast was good with a good assortment and was self service. ||Would highly recommend.

We rarely go to a 2 star hotel but there are almost no Airbnb places in Jersey. When we first got there we were disappointed that there was no restaurant or bar but actually it turned out to be perfect! They have a dining room at the back with cutlery crockery and microwave so we called in at a little Morrisons 2 minutes away on the way home and bought a snack and wine! Much cheaper and easier than going out! Very friendly and a really good breakfast. No lift is the only reason I gave 3 stars as it's location is excellent - 5 minute amble to the bus stop!

Excellent small hotel located a 10 minute stroll from Gorey harbour. The room was spotlessly clean and the service was really good from the staff. A cooked buffet breakfast was included which made my stay as a solo traveller great value. There was free parking outside but this was limited to around 5 spaces. There is other parking not far from the hotel. I would definitely visit again and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Maison Gorey Hotel is a lovely hotel in the charming Grouville village, the location is perfect for exploring this beautiful side of the island. The staffs of the hotel are all extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast is cooked to your liking each morning. The room is spacious and is kept clean daily, only downside is the wifi didn'nt work very well in our room (probably because its upstairs and far from the reception). I will highly recommend this hotel !
