Pure & V par Maison Joia

We had a truly fantastic Christmas meal at this charming, little restaurant owned and operated by a lovely couple. The service and the food were impeccable. Since it was Christmas, they offered a special 8 course menu. Each course was impressive- wonderful, unique flavors and beautifully served. I would have to rank it as one of the best overall meals (dining experiences) we have ever had, and we will certainly return to sample their regular evening menus... We just moved to Nice a few weeks ago, and we wanted to do something for a special meal on Christmas day. We read good reviews about the food/service at the restaurant and booked a week in advance. The interior was elegant, warm, and inviting, with the tables elegantly set for each course, just as you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber. We were seated with a good view of the chef working on each dish before it was served. The chef, Julien, later came out and introduced himself along with his wife Laetitia who manages the floor along with Veronique. Watching Julien was like watching a combination surgeon and artist as he worked to make each dish delicious and gorgeous. We started with a surprisgly elegant cocktail of vodka with passion-fruit and champagne. The drink was as delicious as it was attractive and followed by a very nice sampling of amuse-bouches. We then ordered a very nice bottle of red wine- a Saint Emilion (from their friend's small vineyard) and began our meal with courses of scallops, escargot, black mushrooms with celery root, red fish, seabass, chapon, and a variety of small dessert items which were focused on the use of fresh clementines from Corsica. Laetitia and Veronique gave good overviews (In perfect English and French) of the ingredients and flavors for each course, with many of the ingredients coming from Laetitia's home region of Brittany. The courses were perfectly paced and each was beautiful and uniquely delicious. There was nothing rushed and nothing pretentious about any part of the experience. Everything was simply perfect, and Laetitia and Veronique were professional while also being very friendly and approachable throughout the meal. It was not an inexpensive meal, but it was an extraordinary meal. As I said, the food and the service were perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive- everything was an absolute pleasure from start to finish.

Absolutely outstanding dining experience at Maison Joia. Every dish was a work of art – beautifully plated, perfectly balanced in flavor, and showcasing fresh, local ingredients. The service was warm, attentive, and made the evening feel special. Without a doubt, one of the best meals I’ve had in Nice.

The restaurant was absolutely fantastic! They served us a 5-course menu(They also have a full vegetarian menu or even the option to make some extra vegetarian options) plus dessert, and were so kind to offer us an extra dessert as well. Every dish was Michelin-star level in both taste and presentation. On top of that, the ambiance was warm and inviting. I went with my girlfriend, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming to us, we had such a wonderful and memorable evening there! Highly recommended!

we had the best meal of our entire trip here! The restaurant itself is beautiful. And the menu is creative and delicious. we had the surf and turf menu. We were stuffed by the end of the meal! the service was excellent- friendly, attentive and helpful! we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and hope to be back again soon! we highly recommend coming here for a very special and memorable meal! the chef even came out to meet us and thank us for coming :)

A beautiful evening and eating experience. We loved the textures, tastes and the pretty flourishes of tiny fresh edible flowers. A true undiscovered treasure.

Fantastic restaurant for a wonderful tasting menu. All food locally sourced and was all delicious, the wine pairing was exceptional. Wife and husband team as hostess and chef. I went by myself and was made to feel very welcome. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience.

My wife and I spent a lovely evening at this restaurant as we were traveling on vacation from the USA. In short, this was the most fabulous meal ever experienced in my life. I ordered the Tuna Salad starter and Pigeon main course, and the wonderful hostess recommended the perfect wine to pair with my selection. The dishes were amazing, and they looked beautiful. If you are looking for a culinary experience in a lovely setting, then I highly recommend.

Had a very nice lunch experience here 😋 Food was prepared with great care and the desserts really conveyed the chef’s skills and years of experience in the kitchen 🔪 Our server was also very kind and knowledgeable. She carefully explained each dish in English and answered any questions we had. One thing I will note, we sat near some plants and there were fruit flies flying around but apart from that it was a good meal 😋👍
